not bad man, it sounds pretty good, but your way way locked up. gets you off tempo sometimes. its messing up the faster rolls too. (btw your right hand is too far out. should be much closer to you when playing the high hat, you just gotta raise both hands a little more when you play the snare, instead of trying to dodge the stick by keeping your arm out)

the hihat is 16th notes, the first chorus fill is actually like a roll not 1-2, 1-2, and the fills in the last chorus u defs need to check out, your not playing the right ones. if ur going for complete cover, u definitely need to check out those fills man.

Not bad. Good groove you got, but do work on the consistency of your fills. Your groove goes off right after a fill.

And I suggest you should get a teacher to correct your technique. Don't keep your arms locked in during rolls, and your right arm while riding the hat, is too far out. Technique is really important man, it allows you to play better and more importantly, not injure yourself in the long run.

The way I was shown how to do doubles - the bounce - I didn't really like because the second hit is just rebound and doesn't get the same velocity/power as the first. right now I'm working on doubles where I flick the stick back down by grabbing it with my bottom three fingers... it'll take some time though

Truth is, I'm actually not very happy with any of my drum covers and plan to re-do 'em. There's just one problem: I don't have a camera anymore... I'm still hoping to get one soon this summer.

I got a couple Christmases ago and my parents got it from a family friend and nabbed it at a low price so I don't know the exact price. I can guess it was probably around $500 back when it was first new. You can get a decent used 7 piece set for $400ish. It might need new heads though...

It's a Pearl set. I also recommend Ludwig.
