  • omg... its rejecting everything....

how much does it weigh, didnt look like it hurt on ur hand but still looks big

  • amaizing how quiet it is

  • FSR technology is amazing. It's cool to see the many different uses for it. I met Franklin Eventoff this year. We owe him a lot.

  • Very Cool leg feedback. I suspect load sensing is amp loading balance preset. Or what the hell did I just ask?

The new Army may have a chance now.

Hopefully we live to see it develop.

  • what are these tech words even meen

  • HOLY SHIT DUDE! UR FUCKING AMAZING! ill subscribe to you from now on :)

  • so it beeps on every step? :O not so cool but OMG IT RULEZ!!! /respect!

  • Does it come with a hypodermic stinger?

  • lol this reminds me of being at the doctors office.

  • Bom gostei muito

  • how much is it?

  • Cool.. were you testing the response of the legs to the level of the ground? Are you using pressure sensors on the legs?

    Nice work matey.

  • It probably checks that particular leg's position in relation to the others.

  • so when the leg raises to go over an obstical, the leg doesn't try and lift the whole pod going back to normal position.

  • try to make one that think for itself (I know this tech hasnt come yet)

  • wow its really cool to have those

  • """first generation terminators""" why don't you just smash you computer if you think that's a terminater.

  • hey who knows maybe soon you'll make a giant sized 1 as big as a human and then some evil dude steals it and puts weapons on it and stuff! LoL! but then again that's not likly =]

  • Why are you building these first generation terminators?

  • Why not? LOL

I wouldn't call this project even close to the terminators.. No AI at all.

  • duck tape a gun to it. and there ya go.

  • omg hes should totlay do that XD YAAA!!! WORLD DOMINATION!

  • May I ask some spec of an A-pod? Such as spec of processor ,and if it is with tiny OS or program is directly written on processor. How much volume of the program? Are you using some parts made in Japan? I hope you don't mind.

  • @ZentaOlbaid

How much you want for your kinetics algorithms specially the A-pod ones?

Other question, do you oppose about them being used on military equipment?

  • Wow! Really cool stuff! I'm in school right now for EE and I think I might migrate to robotics and stuff... :D

  • i wish i could make that too

were u learn all those stuffs?

were u got the materials? lol its just awesome

    :D

  • Zenta, I see you have done it again! Have a set of those LM sensors myself. Interested to see your code to distribute the bot's weight. Way cool!!

  • Thanks! So far the code is pretty simple. I'm also using the balance mode combined with the single leg movement. First I've to find a good way to mount the FSR sensor.

  • So would this help it navigate across rough terrain more effectively?

  • Exactly! To make it adapt to uneven terrain is it necessary to have some sort of sensors on the legs. But there is some work left ;) But thats the main goal.

  • I recently saw a TEDtalks video about the use of springy legs for terrain-traversing robots. These things only had a simple motion without any sensors, and yet they could get across some pretty rough terrain without trouble. I'm not a robot engineer of any kind, but perhaps those principles in some way could be applied to your hexapod... They're completely different types of robots, of course, so I would imagine it's difficult.
