  • ok thank you @nellaselfgirl

  • Brent's from Texas, whataya want? ;P

  • What ep. is this

  • @The1976bella i think its "a fistful of Data's"

  • I want an episode where Data's personality is replaced by Frank Hollander. You know, like the ep where Moriarty goes out the holodeck.

  • Brent Spiner FFS

  • @MikeIvensky And by FFS I mean FTW

  • he used the same accent on an episode of night court!

  • @sherman40336 Sounds just like Bob, yeah.

  • Data should've kept the accent and become more... malicious for a couple episodes.

  • hey thats how i talk! :P

  • This should have been Data's normal voice.

  • South is better than north

  • lol brent spinner is awesome...

  • yall must be mistaken

  • "Did Whuut?" "Married your cousin"

  • "Spot, you are disrupting my ability to work"

That's brilliant! I'm going to try it on my cat see if it works.

  • Well, Brent Spiner IS from Texas....

  • A red neck android... can it get any worse?

  • Oh.. my God...

  • It's funny, it's almost like a tribute to Night Court when Spiner played Bob Wheeler. He had the exact same voice!

  • Texas != The South.

  • @SchwarzeWitwe2 Yeah because it's totally the north, dipshit.

  • @FatherHeathen Culturally, they are vastly different. Parts of East Texas are culturally Southern, but for the most part, no.

    Asshole.

  • He's soo cuuuute! *squeeeeek*

  • "Vamoose you lil varmit"

  • *Squeals with laughter* This is funny. I love it! I haven't seen this episode. What's the episode it's from?

  • @ScarlettCrystal2009

    "Fistfull of Datas."

  • @ScarlettCrystal2009 "A Fistful of Datas." Season 6.

  • data also misused "y'all" if he was talking to a group of people he should have said "all y'all"

  • @lilhwa Uh... what? 'y'all' = 'you all'. It's meant to be used when referring to a group of people... much like 'youz guys' or 'yinz'.

  • @5visforvictory5 ... Listen. in the south y'all is singular. all y'all is plural. It's dumb but it's how they talk there.

  • @lilhwa I'm from the south..... and only the super redneck deep dark southerners say all y'all. Actually... .I think I've heard both being used for the plural form. In either case... I've never heard it used in the singular... at any point in my life here.

  • @5visforvictory5 I've got buddies from Vinita and they say all y'all.

Also when I was visiting texas the waitresses at the restaurents said y'll when refering to me... and darlin' wht is with texan women and darlin'?

  • @lilhwa

I'm a woman from Texas and I never say darlin, nor have I ever heard anyone here say darlin, and nobody say's "ya'll" when referring to one person. We aren't all a bunch of redneck hillbillies, Texas is a very modern place.

  • @AngelFluttershy767 I never called you rednecks or hillbillies I'm just saying when I was in Houston women kept calling me "darlin' " I actually found it kinda charming, in a patronising way.

  • @lilhwa

I never said you do, I just said we weren't. And just because ONE woman called you that, definitely doesn't mean we all do.

  • @AngelFluttershy767 Um... when did I say it was one woman? It was like every waitress in every restaurant I went to.

  • @5visforvictory5 I've heard it all ways (from East TN, not exactly the deep dark south.)

  • One of my favourite episodes.

  • @jilliegirl1000 Well, even if it is not a real word I think it's still a contraction because it is short for "you all". I did find it in the iPhone/iTouch Merriam Webster dictionary but I'm about to look in a real dictionary

  • That's straight from his "Night Court" character.

  • Wait a minute... this is a real funny video but.... isn't "y'all" a contraction??????

  • @Gordontrek I don't think so, since it isn't a real word (at least I don't think it is) it isn't a contraction.

  • Comment removed

  • "vamoose you little varmint! " - LOL

  • "Howdy, Commander" is another good line in this episode.

  • Data rules. CBS sucks big hairy ones. link to this episode plz!

  • @zymethpwn There's a website out there run by fans that streams all the episodes for free. If you google watch star trek online, it's the allstepisodes one...

I know this sounds like one of those scam messages, but this is the real deal. It's just dedicated fans managing free servers, though they do accept donations...

  • @MNsportsguru

He now you little varmint, I'm from the south and laughed at this as well ;)

  • Did whut?

  • this is much funnier when you realize that Brent Spiner played a yokel on "night court" which was a recurring character.

    He spoke in that voice

  • i sound nothing like that! lol data is funny as hell

  • Almost looks like the cat is appearing from nowhere.

  • @doomshot Yeah, they do that.

  • I love Spot!

  • what season is this?

  • @DarkDevils333 I believe is from the 6th season of TNG.

  • This is the exact same voice he used on Night Court when he was playing Bob Wheeler. Flawless comedic timing, too.

  • Deed whut?

  • Vamoose ya little varmint!

  • Cool. I'm not aware that the austrian TV-Broadcaster ORF1 shows the english version of TNG. (I live in Austria btw)

  • Spot is so cute!

  • @planetary109 so is data

  • which ep is this?

  • @PandaLove90210 season 6 "Fistful of Datas"

  • @PandaLove90210 The episode is titled "A Fistful of Datas."

  • I remember the first time I watched this episode...it was the last night I got high because it just freaked me out.

  • did whaT?

  • wow this sounds like this guy a.j. from when I visited Tennesee

  • Oh god.XD

Why is it funny when he says it, but annoying when the rednecks around me say it? lol

  • Anytime I hear this I think of Brent Spiner's appearance on Night Court.

  • This accent is identical to the one Brent Spiner used on multiple Night Court appearances, as the character Bob Wheeler.

  • VAYMOOSE YA LIDDLE VARMINT.

  • i'm a redneck lol

  • What episode is this?

  • @msinvincible2000

    fist full of datas

  • data stole the show

  • "Did hu-wut?"

  • LOL. Too funny. I live in the south myself (NC) hahahaha!

  • 4 people must be mistaken. :(

  • Did wuht?

  • Did what?

  • My cat does the same thing. "OH OH! A compuuder! lemmie see...." "VAMOOSE YOU LI' VARMIT! D:<"

  • One that you didn't add was a later scene where Data was going through a diagnostic. He said in a Southern accent, "Well, we figured that part of my memory structure-."

  • Y'ALL MUST BE MISTAKEN. LOLZ

    VAMOUSE YOU LIL' VARMINT

    GOD DATAS AWESOME!

  • :P nerrr data is FUCKING AWWSOME!!

  • Reminds me of his guest spots on Night Court

  • @shaunmalley "We ate the Necco wafers."

  • A obvious reference to Bob Wheeler. LOL

  • i'm from texas.

    fail accent is fail.

  • @iloveit4ever Don't they have MANY DIFFERENT accents in the south, each local to a certain region/country or county? The same way it happens in England.

  • @iloveit4ever Brent Spiner is a Texan. He's from Houston.

  • IMO, Spiner wasn't really that great in any role except as Data. Whenever he went out of that character, took on other accents, or when he was Lor or Dr. Soong, he just seemed like another B-grade actor. But only Spiner could be Data.

  • "Did wut?"

The first accent sounds kinda like the one he used for Bob Wheeler.

  • Did wut?

  • what episode is this so i can watch the hell out of it?

  • @focusandcreate

It's S06E08 'A Fistful of Datas' , directed by Patrick Stewart

  • @Sewicide thank you, thank you, sir...

  • GEORDI MADE A MISTAKE! GEORDI MADE A MISTAKE! He almost called Data Derek. It would've been funnier if he'd of said "Brent... Data you did it again." LOL

  • Did Geordi call Data Dude?

  • He shoulda just said "geeeit"

  • This is just the cutest. :')

  • "Did Whuut?"

  • AHAHAHA. coming from the south, i must say data did a fantastic job.

now excuse me, i'll be laughing my ass off.

  • DID WUT MOTHARFUCKER

  • Did wut?

  • In the show night court spiner made a special apperance and talked southern

  • @bk2158

I've said it before and I'll say it again, Data was the best character star trek has or ever will create. Case closed.

  • It helps that Brent Spiner is from Houston, Texas, so the southern accent and expressions come naturally to him. He also played a bit-part as a deadpan hillbilly in some episodes of "Night Court" before he was on TNG. I think one clip is still on YouTube, if you want a chuckle. :)

I agree with redmancheyenne, he totally could have made another career doing stand-up EASY. I also agree with bk2158, TNG would have had a much harder (if not impossible) time gaining a fan base without Data.

  • @datalal624 hes from houston texas??? me too!

  • data made that show, if not for that charactor tng wounldnt have never made it.

  • yall must be mistaken?

  • Y'ALL? Data pulled off a contraction!

  • what ep is this from?

  • @Rachemous22 I'm not sure, but for some reason "Fistful of Datas" comes to mind.

  • XD THE CAT IS LIKE MINE 00:06

I though he almost called his cat Spock LOL XD

  • DID WUT?

  • Did Huat? he talked like stewie! :O

  • Vamoose ya little varmit!

  • I think i would actually watch this show if it was nothing but clips of Data

  • LOL! "Did what?"

  • is it an accident that both southern white accent and black ghetto accent sound equally boorish?

  • y'all must be mistaken

  • That was Spiner's "Bob Voice" from "Night Court"

  • Data - Bad Move you little furrman!

  • @SR71ABCD no he said vamoose you little varmit

  • I literally just spit out my cornflakes!!

  • Funny! Cute. Cool.

  • hysterical!

  • I love how Brent Spiner keeps a complete straight face when he says and acts the goofiest lines. It cracks me up!!

  • Gotta love Brent Spiner and Data

  • I think Brent missed his calling as a comedian. His deadpan delivery is priceless!

  • @redmancheyenne dude, comedians get payed way less than actors, and are generally less recognized... I think he found his true calling right where he his.

  • A Fistful of Datas I believe

  • THANKS!!

  • that was a great episode

  • Deed whut?

  • Vammousse ya little varmint

  • Haha!!! That's hilarious!!! :-D He almost kinda sounds like Mike Judge (the mastermind of Beavis & Butthead and King of the Hill).

  • haha, sounds more like a stereotypical hillbilly accent over a southern one, but hey, whatever...

  • LMAO! "Vamoose ya little varmint!"

"There! Data you did it again!"

    "Did whut?"

  • lol, it helps that Brent Spiner is from Texas. ;)

  • did hwut? 8D" I frkin love it. YAY DATA.<3

Not many people can do an accurate southern accent. Brent Spiner is so talanted!

  • "Vamoose, ya little varmint!" I'll bet Brent's always wanted to say that to a cat seeing as how he hates them.

  • He did the same accent on "Night Court."

  • "Howdy, Commander."

"Commander! You just sit tight, we'll have this all fixed up in time for supper."

  • Hell Yeah! fer da southern accent!

  • did wut?

  • ~snicker~

Step 1: Remove cat from keyboard.

Step 2: Remove cat from keyboard.

Step 3: Remove cat from keyboard.

Step 4: Just give up already.

  • Yeah, I agree. Give up or kill the cat

  • YOU CANT KILL SPOT :O

  • What?! I never said I wanted to kill Spot, I love Spot!!

  • I told him "Vamoose you little varmit!" lol. it was funny. And btw i love your name, Sylar. I told my teachers to call me that!

  • LOL that's hilarious! I should use that on MY dad. Actually, in my group of friends last year, i told them to call me Sylar! ha my real name is Jadzia, though.

  • as in Jadzia Dax? rofl

  • Yes, as in Jadzia Dax :)

  • Looks like someone was channeling DeForest Kelley.

  • LOL yeah.

  • "Ah'm an an'droyd, nawt a lin-gwist!" hehe

  • thats not a southern accent its a cowboy western accent theres a difference still hilarious though

  • oh, thats freaking hilarious

  • LOL "did whut?" Data ROCKS! I burst out laughing at those clips to :D

  • That has an lots of "lol"ness to it.

  • I love data!!!
