I was kicked out of cubs (junior scouts) because i refused to say i believe in God. I was even offered the opportunity to just lie just to get in (by my parents and the cubs group leader at the time) and i still refused. So i got to do karate instead. WINNING. ;-)

As early as in 1989 in Finland there was what is called "the prometheus camp", a camp for non-religious young 14-16-year-olds. In 2008 there were 67 camps organized around Finland. I'm not sure if this is the first known instance of such camps in the world but it predates Camp Quest by 7 years.
