  • I WANT ALL OF THEM :(

  • What a sweet little girl. Such pretty dogs. Those could be screw worms, which tend to associate with livestock. They can kill a sheep or a dog in as little as five days. I applaud you self suficiency. Vets and doctors aren't magical beings. They are PEOPLE, who happened to go to a glorified trade-school. They don't create knowledge, they parrot back what they learned, which may not even be right.

  • Good job. vets take to long to sign and register there crap, you did a good job saving the puppy

  • can i ask why you didn't take the dog to the vet...?

  • @jualkyn - if you read the story below the vid, you would know why: 1. it was one oclock in the morning when I found her problem, 2. she would have been dead in a few hours, if I had not treated her, 3. I do not pay huge sums of money to other people to do what I can do.

  • thank you so much! i just wish there where more people like you on earth who could help these defenseless animals!

  • I can tell that you love Gods creatures. our animals look happy and well taken care of. I never knew chickens could fly off the ground and land on the top of a fence. Thank you again for showing your farm animals great.

  • Thank you for saving the pups life. I don't care what bad comments you get on youtube, but you did a wonderful job, you took control of the situation and won. Thumbs up to you . By the way those dogs are beautyful.

  • Great job at saving the pup's life. Poor thing is now a happy thing.

Being a big-city boy and all, but....uhmm, that sure is a strange looking dog at 3:28.

  • ooh thank lord i thought the puppy was gonna die im like NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO PUPPY teary eyes and everything :'(

  • YOU ARE A WONDERFUL HUGE HEARTED PERSON,THANK YOU VERY MUCH ON BEHALF OF ALL ANIMAL LOVERS!!GOD WILL BLESS YOU

  • @CrystalLakeFriday13 youre a great man, ive got a jack russell mix ,he liked to ride on door on truck, i made a turn and knocked him off into road ,man behind me stoped and saved my beloved jack ,i was freaking out ,i thought i killed my best friend, thank god for people like you ,he also raised livestock, and my dog would have not made the hour and half ride to vet, my respects for you your great man

  • The thing is worms/maggots don't usually eat "living" flesh, so they might have arrived and fed on dead/necrotic tissue inside the dog. Dead tissue that came about from the initial infection.

In medicine they sometimes even use maggots to help heal a wound cause they eat up said necrotic tissue and only leave healthy tissue.

  • @Swecan76 Some worms eat living flesh (mango worms, botfly, and some others).

But you are mainly right and medicine worm are awesome and not used often enough IMO.

    Have a good one Swecan76 ;)

  • how nice

  • I would take my hammer and smash those worms after you take them out.

  • good job

  • You are so nice for doing that!!! Are you a vet?

  • *cough cough* ever heard of a virginia?

  • @xXxmissKarlaxXx - cough, cough? No, never heard of a "virginia". Whats that?

  • you did great and knew just what to do and saved a life oh and i think the reason they had larva in it is because it may have been sitting out in the sun and may have been laying on its belly too long but that is just a theory

  • what is that blue stuff that you can put on an animal that will stop flies from laying eggs in a wound? watched my grandparents put it on one of their old horses when it ran through a barb wire fence

  • colloidal silver may have helped as well, good job saving that pups life btw i love Great Pyrenees such a great breed of dog, my mother GP saved me from a charging baby skunk i took a big fish net to it, catching it and dumping it further away from the turkeys (it been scratching their faces) when i flicked it away it turned and woddled after me i found it cute being attacked by something no bigger then a kitten Saddie however did not find it funny thankfully the skunk didnt have rabies

  • THAT DOG'S MOM IS SUCH A BITCH.

  • @IAmSuchANerdLol i can understand you being upset that the animal kingdom is so much harsher then how humans treat their children but you need to understand mom was trying to protect the rest of her pups

  • I'm so thankful there are people like you in this world.

  • You seem like a very friendly person. Nice job getting those darn worms out of that poor puppy

  • you are amazing!!!!!

  • Oh Yeah

  • So happy to see something POSITIVE on Youtube!

  • I think she is a great pyranese...wehave a huge male.

  • THANKYOU. THANKYOU FOR TAKING CARE of the puppy <3

  • golden retriever is the dogs bried... I believe to see. nice job on the puppy.

  • good job, its great to see how well she's doing now.

  • That puppy is either a Kuvasz or a samoyed. It looks like a Kuvasz to me, because my neighbor has a pup about the same size. She isnt full grown though.

  • @happylilly789 - Great Pyrenees

  • @happylilly789 Theyre called Great Pyrinese. My in laws have 3 and they are HUGE. The male is 170 pounds almost! Hes not really fat but he is literally the size of their 3 seater couch. lol. They are the most well tempered amazing dogs with kids. I couldnt trust any animal more with my daughter,

  • Btw ur animals are so cute!!!

  • Awww poor puppy she didn't deserve that.

  • awe she so cute

  • Are you a VET?

  • so nice of you to help that puppy get rid of those nasty worms ... ohh i just love pups.. xD cute....

  • awwww u poor puppy :(

  • Yep, look like maggots to me too.

  • Im glad the puppy had a kind hearted person to get rid of its worms. So refreshing to see the goodness in this dying world

  • Amazing job! I love the Pyrenees. Such wonderful guardian dogs and gentle with children. We had a Maremma pup for sometime, quite similar, but much more carnal. Glad to see the puppy is well.

  • maybe the puppy should have gone to a VET...

  • what race are those dogs I love them I had one when I was a kid I was race with one like that one but he passed away :'(

  • OMG ITS LIKE READING A PLAIN JANE ALL OVER AGAIN! i didn't know people still lived on farms lol

  • Bless you JaneTin Tenn for helping the poor thing and nurse it back to health. If it was me I wouldn't know what to do and the worms truly look disgusting! Gotta take my hate off for you for being so brave to remove those disgusting worms.

  • look like maggots..

  • They definitely look like larva of some type. I thought maggots only ate dead tissue but these look like they were going further. Either I was wrong, they're something else or maybe they just prevented the wound from healing thus allowed the wound to fester and the decay to spread naturally. I hope the wound was preexisting because that could mean these things could come back on other animals.

  • It kind of looks something like bot fly larvae or mango fly, but that would be strange in Nashville. There is a video of a dog in Costa Rica with a similar infection, they thought it was bot flies, someone said it was mango flies. The name of the video is "10 botflies removed from dog's snout".

  • Awww.. save that poor puppy! Maybe she needs some meds as well.. so sad to see stuff like this.. even for big burly men with plaid shirts that chop wood.

  • Dont know what kind of worm? how about the word MAGGOTS?

  • @JRYL19 - How about the word; 1:30 in the morning, and exhausted, past my bedtime, and brain barely working, and a life and death situation, and have to do it now or she will be dead by next morning? Got the picture?

  • such a sad sight in the beginning to see, i thought for sure that pup wouldnt make it. You are such a blessing to that lil lad there. We need more of you around to save the rest of these poore animals. GOD BLESS YOU

  • God bless you. that looked terrible

  • I would kick that mother dog for making her kid go through this. Stick worms in her and see how she likes it.

  • @darkhiddenblader It's nature, survival of the fittest. The mum dog doesn't want to bring a pup that is dying up and waste her precious milk on it. It's sad but the way nature works, luckily this wonderful lady helped the puppy to survive.

  • @NoobTubeMeXD True, but at least shelter it. If you don't give it milk, fine. But why would you kick it out into the wide open without any protection?

  • @darkhiddenblader Because that way it would die quicker, sounds bad but it's the way things work :(

  • Poor puppy.

  • Wow that was very brave and sweet that you did that. Se some people would just let the pup die but i am glad that you didn't because now that puppy can live a long healthy life. Why? because of you.

  • Job well done! Happy for the pup.

  • O.O THAT'S SCARY.

  • I had a king shep, Gsd x Great Pyrenees x Alaskan malamute. God bless this breed.

  • Comment removed

  • You did the right thing, thank you.

  • This reminded me of how much I hate parasites. Hope the pup undergoes a quick recovery.

  • @ JanetinTenn

This world needs more people like u. God will truly bless u! Don't 4get that!

  • did not know the og could talk and she sounds just like you

  • d

    ont let him die

  • nice thing to do

  • That's really nice of you to help the dog out. It's a really great thing to do, and all I got to say is, I admire your appreciation for the pup. How is it doing now?

  • they are maggoits

  • Bot flies, they usually get bigger than that my cousins dog had one on its belly as well.

  • Bless you hun! I've always loved animals since I was a child and I always used to bring home hurt birds do nurse back to health, once even a squirrel a cat had gotten it's teeth on.

  • Bless you.

  • thank you so much for taking care of this puppy! thank you so much, there's too much animal abuse in this world and you are a few who rebalances the scale of humility. thank you!

  • god bless ya

  • Your an angel. I watch these animal rescue shows nowadays and there are a lot of people who don't take care of their healthy animals ,let alone sick ones. Your so sweet.

  • Those were bot fly larva and it is a good thing that you got them out of her.

  • Mike Vick and some of his shit fans disliked this video of someone helping a dog

  • they are called screw worms... nasty as they look. they tend to make a screw type formation when you disturb the wound or you attempt to pick those maggots out... anyway good job great to see the pup is well healed now :)

  • @carbine51 - Hello, thanks for your comment, but these particular worms were not screwworms. I have had 2 previous experiences with screwworms. I have come to believe that these were common house fly larva. Why the fly(s) chose to lay its eggs on this pup but not on the other 3, I haven't a clue.

  • @JanetinTenn I think they are maggots. Mabye it was a biting fly.

  • @JanetinTenn Were they your pups or were you just caring for that one? She's beautiful and i'm really glad you saved her,it's wonderful what you did. Also did you get to keep her or get her adopted?

  • @JanetinTenn What breed of dog are they? Their really beautiful!

  • @isolde749 Great Pyrenees. I own one. Their big foofy cuddlebugs and maijor sweethearts. At times their crazy hyper. But always super fun

  • you are a god send, well done for doing what you do!

  • You should be so very proud of yourself! The world needs so many more people like you. God bless you!

  • You are my hero and GOD bless you.

  • well done!

  • thank you for doing this such a good person! but i cant look at this and i want to be a vet.

  • :D

  • yay!!!!! ur a hero!

  • god bless you

  • (:

  • save the puppy :'(

  • Respect to you girl. Dog's are the best!

  • nice video, I love animals so much. Where is your farm located?

  • @lefrank39 - a few miles outside of Nashville

  • @JanetinTenn Actually they probaly are screw worms, the flys are called blowflies, and they look just like common house flies.

  • wow, great job. she looks so happy at the end when she's playing around with her family. and im sure u knew what u were doing, i doubt u would have attempted it in the first place if u didnt. u obviously love animals.

  • You're a great person for helping this poor little puppy.

I'm glad to see she's healthy.

You really are a great person. :)

  • thank you

  • That is a very nice story

  • Thanks ma'm for helping this poor puppy

    god bless you!

    -Nick

  • It's people like you that give me faith in the human race!

  • So y didnt u take this puppy straight to the VET?

  • @Heatherhickman1986lo maybe she is a vet, well anyway she did the job and saved the puppy

  • @XiPickledOnionxX she confirmed she wasnt a vet and confirmed that she didnt want to pay the money to take it to the vet, so yes did a great job saving the puppy but cause suffering in the process because she didnt have the appropriate equipment or medication available.

  • @Heatherhickman1986lo - there are no vets available at 1o'clock in the morning, (read the story below the video) and why would I take any animal to a vet and pay a lot of money for him to do something that I can do as well or better?

  • @JanetinTenn Of course there are vets available at 1.30 in the morning.... my cat was run over by a car and taken straight to the emergency vets at 2 in the morning!! and its called suffering love, u had no sedatives or anesthetic and probably no painkillers! So yes u did a great job saving the babies life, but in the process made it suffer. Like i said it should of gone straight to the vets.

  • @Heatherhickman1986lo well actually maybe where she lives there are no vets open at 1:30, and last night my little puppy went for his jabs and was crying a lot and taking worms out is worse so i do see what you mean and i see why you explained that to me but she did her best and you can do nothing better than your best.

  • @Heatherhickman1986lo - please do not make any further comments on my vids. Your assumptions are ALL incorrect. Vets are unavailable in my area at that time. I raise livestock, so of course I keep a good stock of anesthetics, antibiotics, sedatives and medications of all types on hand ALL the time. The pup had been in excruciating pain for a couple of days at least when I realized her problem, and yes she did have to endure 3 or 4 minutes of pain during worm removal.

  • with fire!

  • Those damn flies start it all.... It could be just a small wound on pet... or even just urine on fur, & they will try to lay eggs on that pet! It's so crazy! Had to remove some from a pet & it grossed me out at 1st, then the 2nd day had to shave some of the fur & do it again... by that time I just wanted to destroy every worm personally & stomp those bastards!!!

SO I COMEND U ON WHAT U DO FOR ALL YOUR PETS! THEY NEED YOU!!! By the way... why does your big white dog look like he wants to bite u?

  • @cityerotic - Ralphie doesnt want to bite me, he loves me.

  • @JanetinTenn LOL!!! I'm sure he does... he just looks sneaky like my CHOW, She won't bite Me, but she will someone else if she feels she needs to protect! But nice looking dog... What kind is he??

  • They appear to be Anitolians (Spelling?). Very good Cattle Guard dogs, not usually a house or pet dog, but still obedient at the same time. My Aunts have these dogs at their cabin/farm watching their alpacas. They really do a great job against wolfs, cyotes, etc.

  • @maz323se - they are Great Pyrenees, and they are wonderful dogs

  • @JanetinTenn Ahhh, ok. I stand corrected. Still a great looking dog. Great job of this little one!

  • you are so kind.... is that a white German shepherd?

  • I thought maggots only ate dead flesh. In the past doctors used them on infected sites since they won't eat live tissue and just the dead. I have no clue what they are but I don't think they're maggots.

  • @MrWirelesscaller You are right, but there is a bit more to it. Medical maggots are sterilized through the process of which they are grown, and destroyed immediately after use so they don't spread disease. Wild maggots like these (I can't tell what species they are, but they are a type of maggot) are full of bacteria, which can encourage more infection, which leads to more necrosis, which can eventually lead to death.

  • bot flies

  • God bless your sweet heart. You have done good by nursing this pup back to health. Really! GOD BLESS YOUR GOOD HEART!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • That poor puppy, you are a hero :) I mean it, you deserve a reward.

  • just gotta say what lovely human being you are.cheers and long life to you...

  • this is why i cant get people who object to mulesing of sheep. if you saw a fly struck lamb you would not be so holier than thou.dumb ass celebs included.

  • You are the kindest woman I have ever seen. I thank you so much for protecting and helping that puppy to stay alive!

  • Wow you actually knew what you were talking about...maybe. Glad the dog lived.

  • oh, and what kind of puppies are these? and all your animals seem so happy and in sync with eachother :)

  • wow, really awesome what you did! such beautiful puppies. you should be a veterinarian or something, cause it seems you know alot about animal health and whatnot

  • I honestly get teary eyed when I see bad things happen to animals. I have to say that without even knowing you, I have a very deep respect for what you did to help that puppy. So many people would just let it die.

  • You are wonderful, thank you for caring

  • This happened to our rabbit, its fly larvae. The rabbit couldn't clean itself properly, flies latched on, layed the eggs then the larvae stripped the fur from the rabbit. We saw the rabbit looking distressed so i picked it up and it slid out of its fur to its neck. terrible. Took it straight to the vet and obviously had to be put to sleep. RIP Flopsy. Strange what life throws at you.

  • thats the cutest furriest puppy ive ever seen.

  • what kind of dog is that

  • god job

  • God bless you for saving her :)

  • Those worms are probably common fly maggots and they were only eating dead tissue and pus, etc. Somehow this puppy had an abcess or infected wound, which opened up or was open. Could be that it was from a staphylococcus skin infection that blew up. Sterile raised maggots have been used to debride wounds so that the wound can heal properly. It's disturbing to see the maggots inside the wound, but they are actually helping the healing process by keeping dead, infected toxic tissue trimmed out.

  • I love your dogs all so well trained

  • Janet, good work. I've done field surgery on a cat. It had stepped on a sliver of glass, and its paw was swelled up like a balloon. I put the cat in a large sock to immobilize it and duct taped it so it would remain still. It screamed a lot, but after a half inch slice, and the draining of a lot of fluid, I found the glass sliver and bound the wound with antibiotic cream. Ten days later the cat was completely back to normal and had forgotten all about what had happened. You are inspiring.

  • yeah i remember when i was walking outside and i saw 6 baby rabbits all lying on the ground still alive with the same thing this dog had and there were 3 dead rabbits. i wonder what causes it

  • You are awesome. :D

  • um hi when i gave my dog milk he um pooped right but on the poop they were lke white worms idk what they were? can you help me out?

  • @TheJoga97

Intestinal Parasites. You should go see a vet for that :0

  • Hi, I found these same worms on the floor after bathing my dog. what kind are they??

  • @whatever2013ify - I think they are common house fly larvae. Since this happened, I have researched the worm parasites that are common to my area, and these are common maggots. Check your dog for infestation sites.

  • @JanetinTenn those are fly larvae i remember watching something on animal planet and i remember that it was mantioned that fly actually put larvae in animals/humans

  • @JanetinTenn did the puppy live please tell me

  • @Thesuperchuggaafan for how long i mean

  • Oh that's so nice of you to help him xx

  • Great peroniese? and bot fly larvie?

  • we love you<3

  • I'm an atheist, but YOU are an angel. You are awesome!

  • Just awesome.

  • It's so sad seeingthis but I'm really happy the puppy got out of this ordeal all right. If I were the owner I would have tossed the newspaper with all the worms on it into a burning fireplace and watched them burn

  • Thank God That the Puppy Survived My Dad have One of This Dog The name of it is Kuvaz And It Comes From Hungary !

  • Hope The Puppy Survived I Cant Look At an Animal When Its Dying If i Do Im Starting To Cry !

  • See this is the type a person that is amazing!

  • you are an amazing person. i agree with Keeplisted that you have a special spot in heaven saved just for you. i thank you from the bottom of my heart that you saved that puppy.

  • I have a Great Pyreneese too , she is mixed with Italian Mastiff , Bella...very nice dog...but crazy and not very sociable. Nice job caring for the puppy.. She was near death. Good thing you found her.

  • i love how she calls the dog "her" and not by it :), just those simple things make me happy for some reason :L

  • god bless yall

  • You are a truly amazing person. :)

If more people like you were on this planet there wouldn't be animal cruelty no more.

    God bless you!

  • Comments are correct on Farmers, we had regular vet care on our farm, but something like this you may come across often and it is dealt with by the farmers. They are experienced and some have spent their whole life on the farm.

  • omg awwwwww god bless you!

  • Beautiful dogs x

  • LOL 18 dislikes? who dislikes puppies being saved? D:
