@Cher298262 Well even though Mike and a few others respect and are friends with the Indians they probably would prefer him to be raised in 'civilization' for better or worse. Other episodes show that the Cheyenne were in pretty sore straits, herded onto a reservation, with not much they could do other than fight. They probably wanted to keep him out of all that.
