I feel sorry for Jacob actually. Given a huge responsibility he didn't want, and 'killing' his brother. I think when he was visiting each candidate he felt bad for what he was doing, making sure they would get to the island knowing that they're live's would change and most would die, but he did it because he knew it had to be done..

Jacob allowed james to finish his letter but I believe he pnly ends up killing the real tom sawyer..through influence of fake locke/adversery..who tricks richard into believing locke is special who than ends up giving locke the 411/file on sawyer when he needs sawyer to kill locke father/tom sawyer at the black rock ship..to become leader of the others.

Ok did you notice that in season 5 when Hurley goes out of jail a police man gives him a penn, money and a candy bar, and tells him that those are his personal stuff or something like that.....

Those things are the same that Jakob gave to Sawyer (penn), Kate (money) and Jack (candy bar)

Still wondering why Jacob, the good guy, the (probable force for good on the Island) caused Nadia's death and likely the death of most of the people on the plane (or allowed it anyway).

Maybe because he knew the actions of the survivors would lead to the detonating of the bomb and a renewal of the time line?
