sweeping like every other thing that is hard comes all in time and practice. start with simple 3 string sweeps really slowly and work on your picking hand technique and keep progressing. it will come in time but you really have to practice a lot with sweeping.

Don't you find it easier to tap upwards instead of downwards when you're using multiple fingers on the right hand? Perhaps not with just two, but if you're going for the eight fingers stuff I find it helpful!

@SkootSucksAtLife They are DiMarzio's. I have a Blaze in the bridge and an Air Norton in the neck. I'm not sure what the 6 string equivalent of a Blaze is.....I've been wondering that myself. I wish they would just make a 6 string version of it!

@kirkpetrucci The Blaze is modelled after the 6-string Steve's Special. Air Norton comes in 6-string and is a classic choice for the neck pickup.

@kirkpetrucci Just came across this comment, and as far as I can tell, methinks that the Steve's Special is the closest thing you're going to find. It's a scooped mid sound just like the Blaze. I had both in two different guitars (obviously) and they were pretty similar.
