Really proud of little Randall! I've been friends with him for many years and he went and played football for the exact same school I've been at since pre k...which is Alcoa City Schools, Alcoa TN(; love you randy!
I can't believe the Packers got this guy, I remember reading about him a while ago, he is awesome. It's unfair, it's like the Packers are stacked with weapons, someone has it in for all the other NFL teams. This guy still needs to prove him self though and more than a 1 108 yard TD run, it's a long season ahead and he will have many more opportunities. But still... shoot how did a crazy team like the Pack get this guy, it's unfair lol.
I honestly don't think Cobb could've gotten a better break. Aaron Rodgers had offensive weapons last season, but now he has a stacked, consistent WR core with Cobb and Jennings. He didn't disappoint Big Blue Faithful, he won't disappoint you guys, either. I'm usually a Colts fan, but I may have to watch G.B. quite a bit this season with Cobb and Masthay.
ive played against this guy in 7 on 7 drills at uk when he was a senior at alcoa, he's a phenom. hands down the best athlete i've ever been on the same field as, he's a playmaker short and simple. green bays recieving corp is just f'n nasty now!
This guy is amazing. Green Bay will have 2 amazing wideouts (Jennings+Nelson) and 2 great SBs (Cobb+Driver). Another great pick in this draft was Alex Green btw.
As a BSU fan I follow the WAC, it is a weak conference, but Green (and Doug Martin as well) is amazing!
@bertcake Well, Chicago plays more of a Hand-it-off-to-Forte offense, and Detroit and MInnesota are not to be judged yet, because they have a new QB(Vikings) or a returning QB and a new WR and RB
@kr0b1486 Yes I am a Vikings fan but I also know my football and follow all 31 other teams. I don't let my favorite team blind my judgement of other players. If you honestly think Cobb is as fast or explosive as Harvin then you too are a biased packer backer. You may be right, he may not need to break as many tackles to still be successful.
As for Randall Cobb I feel all the comparisons to Percy Harvin are not warranted. He isn't nearly as explosive. He is decently elusiveness but isn't overly special. Where the comparison totally fails is in the broken tackles. Harvin breaks more tackles than every other WR in the NFL where Cobb really doesn't break a ton of tackles. He's a do it all type of guy and will fit in well in Green Bay, just what they needed another weapon and one who can also return kicks/punts.
@LUKEwhatUUP You got to be joking. It's blind fans like you that make the Packer fan base look stupid. Football Outsiders: Percy Harvin led all NFL receivers with 25 broken tackles in 2009. Wes Welker finished a distant second among WRs with 16. Chris Johnson (61) led the league, with Ray Rice (57), Adrian Peterson (56), Maurice Jones-Drew (52), and Steven Jackson (50) all top five. Promisingly, then-rookie Knowshon Moreno finished in the top ten with 33 broken tackles. Driver had less than 16.
@DBABYmakesitrain Really? No-one cares about broken tackles. LMAO. Tell that to NFL head coaches and coordinators. Either your a casual fan that doesn't understand how important they are to the game of football or your just a blind packer backer who's trying to make it look like the packers are the best at everything by saying it's insignificant. Either way your wrong.
@LUKEwhatUUP In fact Chicago and Green Bay brought up the rear on the league-wide list that year with Minnesota Vikings players having the second-most broken tackles in all of the NFL. Adrian Peterson had 56, doubling the number of the next-closest player in the NFC North (Matt Forte). In all, the Vikings accounted for half of the top ten on the broken tackles list (Peterson, Percy Harvin, Chester Taylor, Bernard Berrian, and Sidney Rice). Now I know these are not 2010 stats but can't find any
@millertime6888 Packers bring up the rear in broken tackles because they do this cool thing called blocking. Its where players protect the ballcarrier by hitting members of the other team. You bring out useless stats like broken tackles simply because Minnesota was one of the worst teams in the NFL.
@DBABYmakesitrain Umm does this even make sense? Blocking means less broken tackles which are a "Useless stat" again LMAO. What do blockers have to do with a ball carriers ability to break tackles honestly? I can clearly tell now that you are just a blind packer backer, probably also fit into the majority of the fan base being a drunk as well, that will say anything to make them look superior to other teams.
@millertime6888 So I was saying that the Vikings cant block. Didnt think Id have to spoon feed it to you but I mustve forgotten youre a Vikings fan. You cant be too bright
@DBABYmakesitrain The Viking's cant block? LOL what are you talking about? Sidney Rice is one of the better blocking WR's down field. If your talking about offensive tackles lets be honest Chad Clifton is a little overrated but he had a great 2010 season. Yes McKinnie is a bum and Loadholt holds too much but AGAIN WHAT DOES THAT HAVE TO DO WITH RECEIVERS BREAKING TACKLES? NOTHING. so resort to calling me names and putting me down because you can't form a valid argument.
@DBABYmakesitrain And if we were talking about runningbacks then yes offensive line blocking would come into play but we're not. we were talking about wide receivers or more specifically slot receivers ability to break tackles when they have the ball. Offensive line blocking doesn't really come into play unless you want an ineligible man downfield penalty.
@millertime6888 It doesnt have to be an offensive lineman, other ppl on the can block you realize that right? I swear youve never watched a play of football in your life
@DBABYmakesitrain Yeah like i said, Sidney Rice is a better blocking wide receiver than anyone on the Packers roster. He blocks downfield as good as Hines Ward. I think you are the one who never watches football, unless you just watch your team which is probably why your biased.
@DBABYmakesitrain And the fact still remains whether it's a lineman or a receiver blocking downfield it doesn't matter. What does that have to do with a ball carriers ability to break tackles? Nothing. Stop trying to change the subject or link it to something it's not involved with.
yeah, driver and harvin break different types of tackles. harvin has ridiculous speed so db's don't get the greatest shots at him. he's elusive, no doubt. but driver in his prime had amazing YAC. the packers are among the best every year in that category, which is a bit better for comparing receivers. i'll respect percy more when he puts together 7 1,000 yard seasons. six being consecutive
@LUKEwhatUUP You'll get no argument from me there. Driver is one of my all time favorite receivers, believe it or not. In his prime with Favre he was so consistent. He's dropped off a bit towards the end of his career here but he still can get it done and is a reliable option for Rodgers. His consecutive 1,000 yard seasons is actually one of the better feats in football. Right up there with Dick Night Train Lanes INT record and Favre's consecutive streak IMO.
@millertime6888 i dont drink you dumb douche. why dont you do us all a favor and take your stupid arguments to a video that features a viking player. what kind of stupid fag spends soo much time talking about shit that doesnt even pertain to this video? A: you
@beaneroopie and B: you and everybody else who gets upset over others comments on the internet. It's okay tough guy you can say what you want but guess what it won't stop me from talking about the player who has less to do with the packers right now than you think. I watched him throughout college and that's why I came here to comment not because he's a packer.
Aaron Rodgers + Randall Cobb + Greg Jennings + Derek Sherrod + Alex Green. + D.J. Williams + Ricky Elmore and all players that are coming off injury = SB Repeat
My goodness, giving Aaron Rodgers another weapon like this, my goodness, look out for GB for a repeat. Looks like percy harvin, but can return kicks, punts, and can throw.
So happy with the Lions draft, but the one thing i wish i could change is cobb instead of titus young...both good, but cobb is solid...no question marks with this guy. GB fans id b happy w this one for sure..
If you think 1 rookie quarterback is going to be enough to put the vikings ahead of a seemingly needless packer team, you are an idiot. You could throw tom brady into the vikings lineup and they wouldn't beat out the packers in the division. Don't be stupid.
Some of these plays, are identical to what plays the Packers will run. He is an excellent fit in GB's recievers. I cant wait to see this guy play and make an immediate impact.
Cobb will do wonders for the Packers. We don't have to worry about James Jones dropping the ball every time it's thrown to him anymore. Let another team overpay him. Cobb has great character which Harvin doesn't with all the speed and receiving skills. Go Pack go!
Can't wait for Randall's first Lambeau Leap! I'll miss seeing him at Commonwealth Stadium come the fall but as a shareholder I'm pleased that Ted Thompson drafted him for the Packers.
Thank God the Lions didn't add a CB to their ranks. Can't Wait to Watch this kid torch them on Thanksgiving and New Years Day. He will be used a lot with the quick blitz pass Rodgers is sooo good at. The North is ours to take this year.
cobb has great balance and will be at his best when the frozen tundra slows things down. cant wait to see him lambeau leap with sod stuck to his helmet.
TT finally answered my prayers from past years of adding a guy with speed hes going to make are team even much dangerous. I dont see many people chasing him down when hes lose not like are current roster he will give A. Rodgers a shorter filed to work with not so many 80-90 yards drives to work with lets hope he becomes the next D. Jackson back to the superbowl we go
I can see great things with this guy. A Teacher from Drive, and a Competitor from Jennings, the Packers are going to be VERY tough to stop the next 4-5 years at least. I see our Offense being in the top three in that span. Continuing to build a tremendous O Line with Sherrod and Bulaga, a running Back tandem in Grant and Starks. Finley and Williams at TE *Shudder* The NFC North is ours to lose, and we are too hungry to lose it!
packers r very lucky to get randall cobb. i loved him at ky. i wish he would of came back for his senior year but he couldnt risk gettin hurt. he has a big heart and a big desire for the game. he can play several positions and he has a great personality. aaron is gonna use him a lot in a few years once cobb gets used to nfl. but he will still do fine at kr an pr. cobb u will always be loved by ky fans.
Packers fans, you guys got a special player. I'm a UK fan and this was easily my favorite UK player of all time. He may have even been the best. He has a heart bigger than himself. I can tell you one thing, Kentucky would not have gone to 3 bowl games in the 3 years he was there without him period. He is the type of player that makes super bowl champions.
@WeDaBestUK2K I hear that. I know McCarthy will be losing sleep designing plays for him. Randall Cobb seems like a class act too, which is what we're looking for in players.
He doesn't have to co-exist right now. Ted T. is adding depth to the receiving corp. And frankly, I rather have Cobb catching punt/ kickoff than Tramon. We need him for catching int. and not be one hit away from injury.
I don't see how Cobb can co-exist with our current recievers (Jennings,DD,JJ and Nelson, not to mention Finley) Jones is a free agent, so I think this pick forces him to leave. I just don't think a rookie can produce like James Jones, and I'm talking immediately because right now were not trying to rebuild, win the division or make the playoffs, were trying to repeat!-bad pick IMO
@NasJordanKd35 james jones was pretty nice, but dude dropped a lot of balls that could have been TDs (including playoffs/super bowl)...let some other team overpay him. go pack!
@MrVansOffTheWall88 thats where your wrong buddy, Yes there are a lot of bandwagon fans but the majority have been and always will be Packer fans since birth
love this pick. half the time last year we started at our own 20 or under. now we give rodgers a chance to get the ball at the 35 or 40. thats deadly. then the addition of the future right tackle to protect rodgers and then alex green whos a big play back out of the backfield which the packers didnt have all year. great draft class so far. thumbs up for ted thompson
@ultimatepresident whats your problem did you see our draft pick? the plan is obvious that when clifton and tauscher wear out bulaga and sherrod will replace them. next time think before you insult someones intelligence scrub.
@MrVansOffTheWall88 Woah woah woah there. What makes you say something like that? Most Packer fans I know have been fans for years and years. Hell I've been a Packer fan for nearly 16 years now, and I'm from Texas.
@MrVansOffTheWall88 What an ignoramus. Packer fans are loyal, even thru the lean years. If you knew anything about the Packers you'd know that. I've been a fan since 1960 and have seen it all, good and bad, so I know what I'm talking about.
@19justme51 Good for you, I'm talking about most present day "Football Fans," That just like whatever team wins the super bowl, there are a lot more packers fans now because they won.
@MrVansOffTheWall88 You tell no lie, I've been reading mouth breather comments from these post SB fans during the draft, they say everything espn told them about Green Bay it's irritating. According to them we had a bad draft.
@MrVansOffTheWall88 Born and bred a Packers fan, I will never ever change my team, my dedication to the green and gold courses through my veins my friend. if any player on the team gets traded or let go, it doesnt matter. Packer fan since birth, Packer fan when I'm on my death bed.
@MrVansOffTheWall88 Everybody got on some team's wagon in life. I got on the the Packers bandwagon in 1982 when Lynn Dickey alway injured self was the quarterback. What wagon you're on?
@MrVansOffTheWall88... Packer fans are the greatest fans in all of sports. We own the team and we bleed green and gold. We name our streets after packers legends, we tailgate before and after each game no matter how cold it gets, entire businesses close down on game days in green bay, you can't even get a decent seat at a packers offseason practice unless you show up hours and hours early, we have road games where you can clearly hear "go pack go" cheers break out. Theres nothin else like it
@KRetzlaff7 No, Bills, and Lions, and Panthers, and more are the greatest fans. You have to be a TRUE FAN to stick with a team no matter if they win or lose. Unlike people, who just like the winner of the Super Bowl.
@MrVansOffTheWall88... Are you suggesting Packer fans don't stick with the team when they're losing? In the 70s and 80s the Packers sucked, but Lambeau has still been sold out every game since 1960. You can't say that about the Bills, Lions, and Panthers who you supposedly think have the best fans. What a joke, some of these teams stuggle just to sell tickets and not have games blacked out.
@KRetzlaff7 Exactly, they struggle to sell their tickets, because the people that do buy the tickets are true fans and go no matter how bad they suck, and no i'm not suggesting they don't stick with their teams, but today because they won the super bowl a lot more people like the Packers now.
@MrVansOffTheWall88 Isn't that true about every team that wins the Super Bowl though? It's called jumping on the bandwagon and every year some people are jump on, but then they end up jumping off.
Did you know that Green Bay is the only NFL team that is owned by their fans? No owner and we have the most Championships! Jump on or jump off, true Pack fans don't really care; we just truly love Green Bay Packer football.
@troma333 Yeah, thats what I was talking about, people be bandwagons to teams that win the super bowl. The true fans can stay true fans, but im talking directly to you bandwagons.
@KRetzlaff7 Packers fans are also some of the most arrogant, ill-informed, and straight up obnoxious fans in the NFL. Not all but a lot of them that I've met or talked with come across as this. I live in Wisconsin too.
Really proud of little Randall! I've been friends with him for many years and he went and played football for the exact same school I've been at since pre k...which is Alcoa City Schools, Alcoa TN(; love you randy!

@knink24
If you think 1 rookie quarterback is going to be enough to put the vikings ahead of a seemingly needless packer team, you are an idiot. You could throw tom brady into the vikings lineup and they wouldn't beat out the packers in the division. Don't be stupid.

The Lockout needs to end cus i wanna see how they perform at practice!!!!!!!!!!!
ACEVANG014 9 months ago

Jackson back to the superbowl we go
wblake22 10 months ago 2
I can see great things with this guy. A Teacher from Drive, and a Competitor from Jennings, the Packers are going to be VERY tough to stop the next 4-5 years at least. I see our Offense being in the top three in that span. Continuing to build a tremendous O Line with Sherrod and Bulaga, a running Back tandem in Grant and Starks. Finley and Williams at TE *Shudder* The NFC North is ours to lose, and we are too hungry to lose it!

This guy will be unreal after the catch. A trait that GB receivers are always the best at.

packers r very lucky to get randall cobb. i loved him at ky. i wish he would of came back for his senior year but he couldnt risk gettin hurt. he has a big heart and a big desire for the game. he can play several positions and he has a great personality. aaron is gonna use him a lot in a few years once cobb gets used to nfl. but he will still do fine at kr an pr. cobb u will always be loved by ky fans.
dangbra1 10 months ago
Packers fans, you guys got a special player. I'm a UK fan and this was easily my favorite UK player of all time. He may have even been the best. He has a heart bigger than himself. I can tell you one thing, Kentucky would not have gone to 3 bowl games in the 3 years he was there without him period. He is the type of player that makes super bowl champions.
WeDaBestUK2K 10 months ago
@WeDaBestUK2K I hear that. I know McCarthy will be losing sleep designing plays for him. Randall Cobb seems like a class act too, which is what we're looking for in players.

He doesn't have to co-exist right now. Ted T. is adding depth to the receiving corp. And frankly, I rather have Cobb catching punt/ kickoff than Tramon. We need him for catching int. and not be one hit away from injury.

SinxOverdose 10 months ago
I don't see how Cobb can co-exist with our current recievers (Jennings,DD,JJ and Nelson, not to mention Finley) Jones is a free agent, so I think this pick forces him to leave. I just don't think a rookie can produce like James Jones, and I'm talking immediately because right now were not trying to rebuild, win the division or make the playoffs, were trying to repeat!-bad pick IMO
NasJordanKd35 10 months ago
@NasJordanKd35 james jones was pretty nice, but dude dropped a lot of balls that could have been TDs (including playoffs/super bowl)...let some other team overpay him. go pack!

mr. cobb welcome to titletown.
leewm1954 10 months ago
love this pick. half the time last year we started at our own 20 or under. now we give rodgers a chance to get the ball at the 35 or 40. thats deadly. then the addition of the future right tackle to protect rodgers and then alex green whos a big play back out of the backfield which the packers didnt have all year. great draft class so far. thumbs up for ted thompson
notredamejunkie 10 months ago
@notredamejunkie Future right tackle? You're an idiot.
ultimatepresident 9 months ago
@ultimatepresident whats your problem did you see our draft pick? the plan is obvious that when clifton and tauscher wear out bulaga and sherrod will replace them. next time think before you insult someones intelligence scrub.
notredamejunkie 9 months ago
@notredamejunkie Sherrod is going to be left tackle, not right. You have a lot to learn about football if you couldn't realize that.

Green Bay fans are bandwagons, most of them just like the packers because they won the super bowl. "Who Dey"
MrVansOffTheWall88 10 months ago
@MrVansOffTheWall88 Woah woah woah there. What makes you say something like that? Most Packer fans I know have been fans for years and years. Hell I've been a Packer fan for nearly 16 years now, and I'm from Texas.
trombonekingdom 10 months ago
@MrVansOffTheWall88 What an ignoramus. Packer fans are loyal, even thru the lean years. If you knew anything about the Packers you'd know that. I've been a fan since 1960 and have seen it all, good and bad, so I know what I'm talking about.
19justme51 10 months ago
@19justme51 Good for you, I'm talking about most present day "Football Fans," That just like whatever team wins the super bowl, there are a lot more packers fans now because they won.
MrVansOffTheWall88 10 months ago
@MrVansOffTheWall88 You tell no lie, I've been reading mouth breather comments from these post SB fans during the draft, they say everything espn told them about Green Bay it's irritating. According to them we had a bad draft.

@MrVansOffTheWall88 Born and bred a Packers fan, I will never ever change my team, my dedication to the green and gold courses through my veins my friend. if any player on the team gets traded or let go, it doesnt matter. Packer fan since birth, Packer fan when I'm on my death bed.
waterbottle1001001 10 months ago 2
@MrVansOffTheWall88 Everybody got on some team's wagon in life. I got on the the Packers bandwagon in 1982 when Lynn Dickey alway injured self was the quarterback. What wagon you're on?
bertcake 10 months ago
@MrVansOffTheWall88... Packer fans are the greatest fans in all of sports. We own the team and we bleed green and gold. We name our streets after packers legends, we tailgate before and after each game no matter how cold it gets, entire businesses close down on game days in green bay, you can't even get a decent seat at a packers offseason practice unless you show up hours and hours early, we have road games where you can clearly hear "go pack go" cheers break out. Theres nothin else like it
KRetzlaff7 9 months ago 54
@KRetzlaff7 No, Bills, and Lions, and Panthers, and more are the greatest fans. You have to be a TRUE FAN to stick with a team no matter if they win or lose. Unlike people, who just like the winner of the Super Bowl.
MrVansOffTheWall88 9 months ago
@MrVansOffTheWall88... Are you suggesting Packer fans don't stick with the team when they're losing? In the 70s and 80s the Packers sucked, but Lambeau has still been sold out every game since 1960. You can't say that about the Bills, Lions, and Panthers who you supposedly think have the best fans. What a joke, some of these teams stuggle just to sell tickets and not have games blacked out.
KRetzlaff7 9 months ago
@KRetzlaff7 Exactly, they struggle to sell their tickets, because the people that do buy the tickets are true fans and go no matter how bad they suck, and no i'm not suggesting they don't stick with their teams, but today because they won the super bowl a lot more people like the Packers now.

MrVansOffTheWall88 9 months ago
@MrVansOffTheWall88 Isn't that true about every team that wins the Super Bowl though? It's called jumping on the bandwagon and every year some people are jump on, but then they end up jumping off.
Did you know that Green Bay is the only NFL team that is owned by their fans? No owner and we have the most Championships! Jump on or jump off, true Pack fans don't really care; we just truly love Green Bay Packer football.
troma333 9 months ago
@troma333 Yeah, thats what I was talking about, people be bandwagons to teams that win the super bowl. The true fans can stay true fans, but im talking directly to you bandwagons.
MrVansOffTheWall88 9 months ago
@MrVansOffTheWall88 Green Bay fans are unique and of the best of the best in all sports combined throughout the world; you lose MrVansOffTheWall88.

@KRetzlaff7 Packers fans are also some of the most arrogant, ill-informed, and straight up obnoxious fans in the NFL. Not all but a lot of them that I've met or talked with come across as this. I live in Wisconsin too.
