  • Mauro! I am so embarrassed to every show you a video with me playing the guitar. haha. You are SO SMOOTH! I love East Wes (is that West?). It's stunning! You make it all look SO EASY. And your sound and video quality is always 100%. Bravo! Thank you for this gift. Dani

  • @DLSings

Thanks a lot Danielle! I'm your fan! Good luck with your music.

  • @DLSings

Thanks for watching Dani. It's an Eric Johnson's tune. It's name is East "Wes" I think it's a tribute to the great guitar player Wes Montgomery. Montgomery had a unique technique playing with his thumb, and Johnson wrote this song using the same style.

  • Alô Mauro! Não há ninguém melhor que você nisso! Fantástica execução! Adorei demais!

  • Cool work ...I lied the tone !!

  • @fetermcblues

thanks for listening Feter! I was missing to play a strat.

  • @MauroPavanelli

    thanks for listening!

  • Excellent cover! Thanks for sharing! I put the Custom '69's in my 2008 American Std Strat and they sound terrible with any overdrive pedal. Yours sound great though. I play through fairly high end gear too. There's a warble on single high note runs, and I even lowered the pup height with no luck.

  • @ZenDriveSeven

Thanks for listening! The CS69 is a great pickup in my opinion. You can get a completely clean sound from it but sometimes it's hard to deal with some eletric hum. A good shielding job in the pickguard and in the body holes could solve this problem and you will get a pickup that respond to the breath of your fingers.

  • @MauroPavanelli I appreciate the reply. I'll keep you posted. And again, excellent work on this great EJ tune! Also, there's just something I love about those 70's era Strats with the large headstock. I'm currently working on "Gem" from his new album. Tougher than it looks, and a great tune.

  • @ZenDriveSeven

Thanks a lot for your interest! I love your tele tone. I played tele for a long time. It´s an awesome guitar and I carry one in my right arm for the rest of my life (a tatoo one). It's the princess of tone and you know how to treat her! You could be sure!

  • @ZenDriveSeven A friend of mine that plays a lot put EMG pickups in his strat and tele and his guitars are very quiet. May do that to mine someday. You can hear some of his live playing on my channel. The audio isnt great but it may give you an idea of what it sounds like.

  • @clewi1091 Thanks! Actually it's not the hum, I can tame that to a degree, it's the overall tone on the thin strings higher up the neck. Just very non-musical sounding with a warble. And I actually own a set of the EMG-DG20's, but they will be a last resort. I would prefer to stick with the '69's and try to make it work somehow. Thanks again!

  • @ZenDriveSeven

I forgot to say, did you check the wiring method used with the CS69? I notice that my 70's strat got a very diferent wiring diagram, specially with the bridge pickup that goes direct without the inteference of the tone knob. Maybe the modern wiring used by the american standart series and the the diference tone eletronics is interfering in the pickup sound or simple don't work right with a vintage pickup like the CS69.
