@Keimori12 It hasn't been released on any Muppet album to my knowledge. Try using a you-tube to mp3 converter, google 'you-tube to mp3 converter' there are loads of sites out there.
Thanks for sharing Keijz74. Giggling to myself about what you said - Funny how we Perceive ourselves - I am getting well worried now - Maybe becoming more like Miss Piggy than I care to admit LOL
Rip it from the vid? 's what I did, it's either that or from the DVD collection. Or possibly record it off the webradio station that only runs muppet tunes(forgot the name). No other way to get it.
And believing is more amazing when you consider that he's actually felt and whatever. it's a tribute to the artists and puppeteers that they can give these characters such personality that they are believable
Truly an amazing display of puppetry. Not just in the piano-playing of Dr. Teeth or the lip synching and eye-emoting of Floyd... watch Zoot carefully. Not only does he move his shoulders in a very realistic way for a sax player, but he also takes a "breath" before putting the sax in his mouth.
Btw, I hear that his muppeteer was an amature sax player. So he's modeling how Zoot plays off himself. Obviously, they get someone else to play his sax though.
I've been searching for this for ages. Since 9/11 I suppose, when it was the only New Yorky song I really wanted to listen to. It was on the 2nd Muppet Show album that I had when I was a kid. Nice one Floyd!
Anyone else find it creepy that Floyd's shades move like eyes? At times it looks like instead of sunglasses, those are empty eyesockets o.o

@Smilez2211 I'm pretty sure those are his eyes.

this is easily my favorite version of this song. EASILY.
snap23212 1 year ago
Does it make anyone else slightly sad to think that all (but one) of the puppeteers were American and filming in London.
And that this song might have been because they were a little home sick?

Anyone know where to get a chord chart for this song? Beautiful...

@YukonRoxx any Billy Joel books or sites with tabs/sheet music should have it. One of his biggest early songs.

floyd sounds like a decountrified willie nelson (I made that word up but you can figure what it means)

You're right, he souds a bit like a mixture of Willie Nelson and Elton John.

Well, Dr. Eltonjohn Don'tshoot (Aka. Doctor Teeth) is visually modeled off Dr John, so why not Floyd sounding like him?
