  • i have a question how does ubical cord come off if it has to be cut i dont get this because my mare is pregnant please reply

  • @craftygurl15 no, you don't cut it, the foal usually lies with its back legs inside the mother for a while while blood passes from the blood vessels in the cord into the foal. When the mother stands on her own after this rest period the umbilical cord will break

  • It looks dead because it can't really move when its mother is still pushing I guess

  • @Shinketa They don't move until their hips pass through.

  • how come when a mare is foaling, the foal looks dead?

  • @horseyshoes101 So they don't injury the mother. Do human babies move around when being born? No, same with other animals.

  • oi mten ihana

  • as soon as a realized what "foaling" ment i stopped watching Dx

  • @AlyssaFgt dumbass... ;)

  • What a littel buty Welcome to the wrold:)

  • feelin sorry for it!!!

    :(

  • debyj1952. im pretty sure that man knows exactly what he is doing, or else the people that own the horse wouldnt have let him help. you need to go criticize someone else that actually needs to be criticized, and not be such a know it all.

  • ouch , that's what i call pain in the ass xD

  • What a beautiful black mare!

  • Hey little one^^ Welcome to the world <3

  • c tro beau a voir

    la naissance d un poulain

  • My you get so testy over people questioning what is being done.... rudeness should not be the first thing you come back with...comments will be made when you post things and if you don't want to get comments then don't post. Nothing I asked or said was meant to be as rude as your response was. So sorry you aren't able to handle what others question. As for horses in the wild, that may well be but no one is there watching them either.

  • He did a fine job. There was nothing to do about the leg and the foak was breathing fine. Stop being so critical when your not involed.

  • @nicki3236 How do you know

  • @nicki3236 How do u know

  • ARE YOU SERIOUS??? He doesn't know what he's doing, or else when she first went down he would have helped by straightening that foals leg in the first place!!!! and he should be worried about making sure nothing is obstructing the baby's breathing, not taking the afterbirth off of the hind legs!!!!

  • @debyj1952 So..... What did these horses do when they were in the wild? Did they reach behind and straighten their fouls legs? Shut up my god. These horses have been around nearly as long as humans I'm sure they've figured their shit out by now.

  • @BeeVan19 Yes, and many horses and their foals die in the wild ;) There are many things that can go wrong. You want to do everything to ensure a safe, quick delivery.

  • @debyj1952 so u do as u are a vet! this is u tube not national geographic.

  • Aww the miracle of life!

  • Soooo PRETTY! I love the mare and foal both!! well I got to like them both, they look just alike!

  • That baby was born in the bag. That's almost sub-zero

  • What a shame to let the mare strain like that = just pull the second leg and the foal would have lipped out. When he finally pulled he did it wrong, too = you pull towards the mare's hocks, not away from the mare. What bunch of amateurs. But golly he did wear gloves!

  • @1978vollrath I'm sure this guy knew what he was doing, he looks like a professional. Probably their vet. Usually a vet knows what to do in situations like these. The foal was born with no problems at all it seems. I really wish people would stop acting like professionals when they see a video like this.

  • why dont they help and pull the foals legs a littel bit?

  • the foal is so cute. Was this the mare's first foal?

  • I really wish people would quit saying to wrap the tail what does a wild horse have one of the mares wrap her tail i mean seriously its just the same with breeding ps beautiful foal great job

  • The foal had it's right elbow caught back, why the mare got up, to try & loosen it.

  • she is butiful!

  • @sirensloft acttually, they usually give birth at night

  • Shut up and let the horse finish in silence, disturbing humans during birth!

  • @mrd09002 You do realize that if they hadn't have pulled the foal out, it could have suffocated and died? The mare was getting tired. they HAD to help.

  • @3barrels2souls1dream

    Yes, but don't talk!!!!

  • @mrd09002 Don't talk...? o.o

  • The filly is so cute!

  • 2 beautiful girls! Mother did a great job.

  • haha awww this horse was born a day before my birthday cuz me horses bday is 18th may 2007 my one is 19th may 2000

  • I cannot stand to see humans interfere when there is not need to. Unless the mare is distressed...let nature take it's course. The only thing I would have done prior is to wrap the tail.

  • ya fuck you peta without humans animals like horses would have a lot harder time with giving birth. and they could even die

  • i agree with Tuckie!

  • qww beutifull horses! the foals soo cute!!

  • awww beautiful foal :) i don't mean to be critical, and i'm sure this foal was fine, but next time can u please wrap the mare's tail? horse hair is so coarse that it can scratch the sensitive cornea of the eye of the foal during birth, and the tail can also contain bacteria from feces, but the main point is the eye. thanks!! just to be cautious. otherwise, very well handled and gorgeous horses :) i'm sure mother and baby are doing well

  • It's sad that my grandmother's friend's horse and my best friend Amber miscarried and lost her baby in 2007. It was something wrong in her uterus and i comforted her to cope with the loss. The vet decided the should not breed her again. Amber is such a strong girl and i will love her until the day she draws her final breath.

  • The mare's so pretty and the name is so appropriate because she's so graceful.

  • is it okay for a person to pull on it like that. she was doing fine by herself. anywhoos. cute baby!!!

  • @elinheartstristin yes, it is fine as long as you pull with the contractions and stop when she stops.

  • not trying to be rude or a hater, but the horse looked prettly lol with two whoves out its vagina

  • la pauvre sa dois lui faire mal

  • @SheryfaMonIdole Comme la plupart des mammifères qui accouchent :)

  • awwwwwwwwwwww he looks like his mama

  • every video i see the leg is the first thing out

  • Come on mama! Push! you can do it! :) Beautiful baby :)

  • @ZER0EVO HOLY FUCK DUDE IF ITS GROSS DONT FUCKING WATCH IT!!

  • @es13100 DID YOU KNOW THAT 98% OF PEOPLE WHO WATCHED THIS VIDEO ARE EITHER STERILE OR CANT HAVE KIDS, AND WATCH VIDEOS OF ANIMALS GIVING BIRTH SO THE CAN COPE WITH THEIR OWN GUILT? I FALL IN THE 2% OF PEOPLE WHO SOMEHOW ENDED UP HERE WHILE WATCHING VIDEOS ABOUT STUFF THATS NOT GAY.

  • @ZER0EVO and, ahem, how do you know that smart-alik?

  • @es13100 Smart-alik? how old are you 48?

  • @ZER0EVO No, I thought you were.

  • @ZER0EVO sorry to but in, but why would people feel guilty cuz they can't have babies? that's stupid and not true. people watch this video because they want to see a horse give birth. not cuz they can't have kids. that's dumb. sorry.

  • do baby animals always come out of sax? yes!

  • tres beau poulain

  • tres beau poulain

  • you should be very proud of yourself. out of all the vids i've watched on you tube, the box is the cleanest and biggest. just perfect for a foaling mare. and i thought my dads stud farm was great. well done

  • You have to remember this isn't a wild horse, it's a domesticated animal just like a dog or cat. It gets it hooves clipped, tail and mane brushed, and fed everyday.

  • This is the same guy who pulled on the other foal too, while the mare was NOT contracting. Also he pulls them all the way out, which is not necessary. I sure hope this foal doens't die of joint problems like the other did that he pulled on that way.

  • It sounds cold outside... *Shivers.* >.<

  • so sweet.

my horse is born for 5 years.. it was in our box, too.

but i was in the shool and couldn´t be there at the right time.

  • i love black horses! They look so cool!

  • quel beau moment !!! :)

  • amazing

  • she is pritty

  • That was magical =) such a cute little foal

  • she had a pretty quick delivery

  • سبحان الله العظيم

  • Horse have it good... They dont bleed out of the Vagina... :(

  • @AnnaFeshies they don'T? O_O

  • @AnnaFeshies

that is there vagina lol.the baby comes out the piss hole.

    pretty much same thing.

exept the poo hole and the pidd hole r right by each other. :) wow!

  • Wow absolutely gorgeous foal

  • What a beautiful foal. That'll be a beauty.

  • you shouldnt break the amniotic sac until the foals shoulders have passed...if for any reason the foal slipped back in the mare it would drown in the amniotic fluid

  • Comment removed

  • woah she was standing atthe start while giving birth

  • They are both beautiful!!

  • In the wild, how would the embillical cord detach? Randm question...

  • @XxLittleMizzEmoxX when the mother stands up it breaks

  • beautiful moment..congrats to the mother and the owner.

  • trop chou le cycle de la vie !!!!!!!!! <3 :P

  • dam fo0 are u suppose to be pulling the baby like that just le do mather nature do it's work!

  • it could have got kinda dangeuros when a mare is walking during a foaling.... But it looks like all tuned out vevry well!! ;D

  • ahahah okey :D

  • @Leopard

As far as the video shows they didn't :-(

If you mean us: The foal was born in the middle of the night, so we didn't see it.

  • How come you left the amniotic sack over the foals mouth so long? We asume thats what our foal died from :((

  • @chaeferl

    err they didnt?

  • wow what long legs the foal have unlike the other vids i saw!:D

  • This is an excellent video! I am a college freshmen in a foaling class (how incredible is that), and I have been searching for good videos of successful foalings.

Thank you for the video, and congratulations. =)

  • Wow look a mother and her baby like black beauty

  • What a beautiful mama and baby :)

  • um its not supposed to be very stressful, giving birth to a foal, for the mare. what happened to the light, may i ask u???????

  • You do realize in the wild, they do give birth during the daytime....feeling at any moment, a mountain lion or bear could come and kill them....at least in a stall, surrounded by the people who raised them, cared for them, the mother is going to feel safer. She didn't seem distressed, other than the fact she was in labor. It was quiet, well lit...so the owners could see if there was a problem.

  • i dont mean this nastily but she has probibly been in a stall or feild from the moment she was born so she wouldnt be used to a mountain lion or bear. Anyway i dont own a horse so got to start studying up on my horse books... :P

  • horses still have common sense. they still are very cautious. they still know about dangers like mountain lions and bears. they still have wild horse sense.

  • Okay, okay! Jeeze, I said I didn't mean that nastily. No need to bite my head off...

  • Im sorry i didnt mean it that way. I was just stating a fact. My horse is scared of getting a bath but because its not summer i cant desensitize her to it. My point is that horses are scared of MANY things, and i did not mean to be mean.

  • Oh, it's okay. But anyway, I don't own a horse so I gotta start on those horse books! Btw, lucky you, you have a horse! :)

  • @sirensloft Isn't that why wild mares can sorta 'stall' the birthing for a little while?

  • @Shilasta Yes, but not forever. They can stall it for a short while but eventually, danger or not, its gotta come out

  • @sirensloft Actually, in the wild they usually give birth at night, and close to water to mask the scent.

  • god that was hard work

  • What's with all the lights on,and the croud? It's suppose to be a little private and relaxing with not too much light, the mare looked extremly disturbed and what else can she do when her water has broke then lay down and try.And whhat are you people doing walking in to her stable and filling it with new straw right on a buissy moment?:SThat's something you should prepair, and leave her alone and be quiet! And the foal is lucky it could of been seriously hurt from the mare when she moved like that

  • It was the middle of the day, that's why there is so much light ;)

  • Jeeeeeeeeesus christ. Here comes the Supreme Emperor of horse ownership... Stop acting like there was a thrash metal concert and laser light show happening inside the horse's stall. Everything they did was fine.

  • exactly ... people nowdays have zero horse sense , no respect .... MONEY THAT IS ALL , and the price of that fall ... cashing cashing

  • i wonder who the sire was?

  • that was a good idea helping but next time dont really pull so hard on the legs. youmay accidentally dislocate them

  • just for all the no nowts i unfortunately didn't get to see my mare foal in time and the foals head came out before the legs and we lost it and nearly the mare if we hadn't getting the foal out and flushed her out, it doesn't always help not to interfere, so well done you could see she needed a little help

  • -_- no i dont get what ur saying either can you please refrase that IDIOT. cuz u sound dumb.

  • damn people these days?

wht i'm about to bounce off

    to work holla

  • can you like repeat tht i dont understand wht you are saying?

  • That must hurt exetremely!!!

  • Okay waht i noticed is that The guy was pulling non stop. I have helped my mare through birth and i know that you should only pull when she pushes or you can break something...

  • aww good job, but you should let mommy clean her off.

  • Aww! Welcome to the baby! Ballerina should be a proud mother! Both the mother and baby are very beautiful.

  • Ballarina is a beautiful horse.

  • your horse and foal are both extreamly beautiful , i love black horses . and she was very pretty x

  • très belle vidéo de voir la naissance du poulain , on peut voire que la mère est faible pour le mettre au monde

  • omg the baby foal is soooo cute

  • good thing u wearing gloves cuz other ppl is stupid not to do it

  • the baby is so cute ! :]

  • Excessive pulling again, pull with contractions! Also, you dont remove hind legs from the dam, once the baby is out, you leave her and it be as there is several pints of blood now flowing to the foal via the umbilical cord.

  • That looks really uncomfortable, But it is the miracle of birth!

  • Such a beautiful miricale

  • omg i was disguted when all that liquid.... urgh

but still birth is birth and it has created a beutiful creature

  • Congratulations!!!

  • I love horses!!!:-)

    This baby so cuuuttteee!!!!!!!:-DDD

    Congratulations!!!

  • congradulations. my horse was supposed to have a baby feb.7 2009 but the baby didnt make it in her after about six months

  • Maybe the mare could have stayed still, without getting up, if they didn't move around her, adding straw and talking... Mares like to foal, alone or with discrete public !

  • They shouldnt have let the mare get up..i could have damged its filly

  • im always afraid that when the foal is only half out, the mare might roll on tio of it or crush it by accident!!! Beautiful baby foal though

  • im always scared they'd like dislocate the leg or something when they pull it ....... i heard a pop when they did ....

  • "It's a new world,it's a new start,it's a life with the beating of a young heart,it's a new day in a new land,and it's waiting for me-Here I am!":)So amazing as a little beautiful new creature starts breathing!Brethtaking!:)

  • that was so cute i hope she/he is having a great life

  • so cute

  • How long was she in foal?

  • It is so beautful.. I cry everytime my horses get foals! :)

  • that is such a beautiful mare! congrats

  • i wonder how many hours you have to wait until you can put a saddle on that little horse

  • More like several years.

  • lmao

  • why didn't you tape the tail

  • couldnt the mother break bones or kill the baby by moving around and sitting down when its half way out

  • I'm sure instincts keep her from doing that. I've never heard of such a thing happening.

  • Im so jelouse! ^-^

You cant get much cuter then that little foal!

  • beautiful! is this her first foal?

  • omg lol shes so little, with such long legs!my!shes a pretty little filly

  • We only assist a birth if the mare's been in labor for an extended time with no progress. In that case, something could be stuck or turned wrong or the mare is just too tired and needs help. Other than that, we stay out of the way. It's a natural thing, people. The more natural you allow it to be, the better for the both the mum and the babe.

  • Humans should learn that lol

  • I agree. Birth is a privet affare.

  • ke bella la cavalla!!!

  • beautiful vid.:)

  • ohw! sooo adorable! Great job helping the mare ^^

  • HorseFreak15, How are you supposed to help? Pull the freakin thing out? That would hurt the mother.I think she can do it herself, A lot of horses can...

  • I agree with Senjaisawesome

  • No, if the dam is having difficulties you should help.. not doing so can be bad for the dam and foal...

  • what a beautiful horse and faol :D
