  • i am doing a report about them

  • those things are awesome like little people

  • where do you get one

  • has anybody noticed the new youtube

  • 96 people are anteaters 3 people are ants

  • were can u adopt an anteater? and were did u get yours?

  • were can u adopt an anteater?

  • are they legal n texas or ohio?

  • @blazeyblaze12 I think they are in both states but you still need to check the county and city laws.

  • cuuuuuuuuuute!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • how much are anteaters? can u own them in the northeastern part of the US?

  • @stangsniper Mostly no you can't but it depends on the state and then the local laws as well.

  • you have a boy and a girl, do you let them mate?

  • @aiyjai Yes but Pua hasn't been cooperative about that.

  • were did u get them can u send me a link?? ive been searchin all over and then u have two must be hard to take care of

  • Can you house train them?

  • @MrPartyZombie Some. Pua uses a pee pad in the closet to pee but that was one of her favorite spots anyway and I just put a pad where she likes to poop but there will always be some marking/accidents.

  • are they illegal?

  • @SuperMat360 Not where I am but laws vary by country, state, county and city.

  • were do you get them

  • how often do you wash em? and how?

  • @d1v4dPwnz I rarely wash her now. I used to wash her every month or two at first as I was allergic to her but seem to have gotten used to her. She doesn't seem to really need one that often.

I just stick her in the tub and use the shower head to hose her down like with the dogs.

  • Adorable creatures! Do they make any sounds at all?

  • @TheVlogSister Yes but mostly just hisses and a sort of growl.

  • I WANT

  • Hehehehe....just like a couple of kittens....with BIG claws...lol :-)

  • i have a question - what do you feed them? i imagine honey as a treat, and maybe cheese, but mainly?

  • @SporeTycoonDude123 The recipe is in the comments of my video "Anteater food"

  • THEY ARE SO CUTE! I want one!

  • um i got a question what happend if you let 1 anteater alone for 8 hrs?

  • @geminisparksEX90 They sleep all day so it's only a problem at night. They still nap a lot like a cat but need some play time.

  • I adore this video.

  • How many states are these legal in? I really want one :D

  • @holyshitbmth I'm not sure. You'd really have to check the requirements of each state. Some people have them in banned states by special permit so don't assume a state is okay just because someone has one their either. Most laws can by found by typing state name and code into google then look for animal and exotic laws.

  • such funny cute animals ^^

  • Are they like dogs or cats in terms of personalities and affection towards people?

  • @miatageekscott More like cats. They are sweet but you can't really make them do anything or expect them to follow you around.

  • @TheAdrenalineEffect They can be imported but only from the USA. Check with the Boarder Service Agency. They inspect them at the boarder. You also need to check city and providence laws.

  • This vid is. super cute, I didnt know you can have an anteater as pet. Did you buy it at the pet store?

  • you need to get them little shirts.

there can be no debating this. There must be pictures taken of them in shirts.

  • they're tamandwas, tree ant eaters.

  • exellent vid really never new ppl had theese as pets i would have thought they would be scared if u sit next ot them or pet them

  • ANTEATERS....FUCK YEAH!!!!! :3

  • How do you get an anteater?

  • ADORABLE !!!!!!!!!

  • I could watch these babies all day! You are such a good owner!! Thanks for all of the videos!

  • are one of zach and andrews sister

  • What are the risks of Anteater's as pets? I've heard some good things, but I'm sure theres some negatives to it as well. Such as if they often attack/scratch or what?

  • @hippaul Google anteater FAQ and anteater care sheet and those will help you. You do need to file or trim their claws for safety but they are non-aggressive will just defend themselves when scared.

  • well it seems worth the wait, congrats and I hope you are able to get the next one too!

  • do u cut their claws?

  • @Deeznuwts I use a dremmel to file them.

  • How in the world do you get a anteater as a pet? their not exactly at every pet store....

  • @boosted05stang It's not easy. It took over a year to get Pua. We've been working for 6 months or so on getting her a new mate.

  • @boosted05stang

I strongly recommend never to buy from pet stores. Read up on the raid of USGE (United States Global Exotics) to find out why.

  • Are they soft?

  • No not really

  • Aww that is just too cute. :)

  • I wish I had a pet anteater... T^T

  • I didn't even know you could have them as pets, LOL

  • why do you have an anteater??????????

  • question how the h-e double hockey sticks do you get a pet anteater because i want one

  • these two just get more and more adorable each video i watch :) hope to ese more of their playtime again in the future, this was adorable XD

  • do ant eaters show affection towards you...like can you creater a bond with it, like you would with a dog?

  • Yes. You can search for one og my videos "anteater love" and see Pua spending some bonding time with me but unlike most dogs she wont stay unless she's in the mood to.

  • @TamanduaGirl oh then i think my dog is an anteater xD

  • do they respond when u call them by name?

  • Kind of. Pua knows her name but she wont come just because you call. I did train her to come to a squeaker but she only comes to it inside. Outside is more exciting to explore than to come for a treat.

  • do they shed there fur?

  • No not in large noticeable amounts. But all mammals shed hairs even people.

  • (Shakes head) never heard of anteaters for a pet.

  • is their fur soft ?

  • No not really.

  • Note that soem states prohibit ownership of exotic animals. I live in Iowa and i can't own an exotic anima =(

  • Cali is the same :(

  • Where do you purchase these? Anyways, great video. Interesting animals, very cute.

  • i just made this my home page...

  • Glad you like it.

  • @TamanduaGirl

haha i love these videos. i hope to (eventually) have a tamandua anteater =)

  • I want to wrestle in this lady's lap.

  • i like stewie better because he can walk on 2 legs and he drinks wine

  • Pua is the one drinking wine in the video and she can walk on two legs. I even have video of it in the Target training videos. Stewie was more out going and flamboyant and would climb and hang from door frames.

  • i never thought of an anteater as an affectionate creature, but they look like dogs wrestling here. are they generally friendly? shy or skittish around strangers?

  • Yes they are friendly and like to play and cuddle but they do so on their terms. They wont stay when they want to run around. Pua doesn't care about strangers. Stewie was friendly with everyone, but Pua is a momma's girl and Stewie wasn't as clinging or affectionate with me as she is.

  • their awesome wrestlers

  • can u realy have those as pets! i rly want one haha

  • It depends on local laws, state, county, city may all have laws against it. Also my source will only sell to those with a USDA license.

  • Where the hell are we getting DOG from? They are anteaters you morons!

  • I'm not sure what kind of freaky dogs Scorch hangs out with but they're pretty clearly anteaters to me. I give it 5 and totally want some!

  • are you serious? ^^

watch some of the other videos, if these animals are descendants of domesticated wolfs, i am a headless chicken, not knowing that i am dead ^^

no, seriously, these actually are anteaters :)

  • dude what are you talking about look at them there fucking anteaters

  • seriously... dogs?

  • You are dumb. Or stupid. Your choice.

  • Where the hell do you get a dog outta this Scorch? What planet do you live on?

  • where are you getting these anteaters ?

  • Pua came from Guyana but had to be nursed back to health. She was a failure at wild living. Stewie was born at a facility in Florida but the family that got him rehomed him with me due to health problems in the family.

  • Eeheheheheh

  • Their food in captivity is messy and they dribble urine but they keep their fur clean.

  • oh WOW!!!

I diddnt know you could keep one

Prolly not the pet for me at the moment though :P

  • The Lesser Anteater is the most awesome anteater!

  • @STEFANROCKER23 You'd think it would be the other way around, wouldn't you?

  • I want one! Where can I get one?

  • Please see the FAQ link in the video description.

  • I'm in absolute awe on how darling they are. They remind me of cats wrestling. Lucky you!!

  • I have always wanted an Anteater ( in particular a tamandua) but I appreciate that they are hard to attain and take care of.

Its best to be experienced in taking care of other species in this family.

But eventually I hope to have one of these cute buggers

  • It'll be a while before I even consider this sort of pet; I want to get familiar with exotics starting with a fennec fox and genet. However, what I would like to know is, are they litter trainable or do they just pee anywhere? Since their pee stinks so bad. Also, do you know if they are legal in Texas?

  • I think they are currently legal in Texas but a lot of the counties and cities will ban exotics so you need to check those too.

Pretty trainable but need reminders because they want to pee or poop somewhere to mark. They do dribble pee around, like having a giant mouse that way.

  • What about doggy diapers? I wonder if they would even keep those on while roaming around the house. Here is a question I hadn't seen yet. What is their poop like? [Not to be disgusting] I mean, their diet is so much different, so is it firm or rather hard to clean, like mush?

  • It is like dog poop in consistency. They aren't really shaped right for diapers. I would also worry about them being wet constantly.

  • do they ever make a noise? so silent all the time :)

  • They are very quite but will hiss when upset and can growl but this I've only heard when they first met each other.

  • Don't you have to have a license or something to possess that animal?? I think it is listed as "threatened" on the wild life preservation roster.

  • They are CITES II but that only effects the import/export of them. It is very limited but allowed. State to state transport and ownership is not effected. However each state, county and city may have laws against exotics in general. If they were actually endangered then it would effect state to state movements and cross country trade stopped. They are tied with monkeys as most often killed as a nuisance animal in the wild so the limited trade is better for them as it spares their lives.

  • the essay linked at the sidebar written by Pua ;) is great!

  • heh took the link and read Pua's essay, so adorable!

  • so cute!

  • do they have sex? xD just wondering lol

  • They did but nothing came of it. Unfortunately we lost Stewie last year.

  • omg i want one when i grow up

ill move to wherever i have to for them to be legal

how much is one and where did u get it?

  • The link in the photo description goes to our FAQ that answers those question.

  • so cute omg

  • How the hell did u get anteaters and are ua ble to own sloths?

  • I bought them and learned how to care for them. Laws depend on the state, county and city. Many places don't allow it some places you can get permits for them.

  • you are so lucky that you can experience things like this.i bet you are a really good caretaker for them

  • opps darn it hit remove instead of reply.

sandsman14: do you have any gian anteaters? i like those ones better kinda but these ones are awesome. i need to get one.

    ---

No. They aren't impossible to get but last time I saw one it was something like 50-80,000. I don't remember exactly but in that range.

  • I would love to be in this woman's lap as well, but not the way those anteaters are ^_^

Seriously though, anteaters are pretty cool. I want one, but it looks like way too much maintenance and I can barely handle a dog.

  • I'm sure... you must be a very wealthy man...

  • Theyre ok, i wouldnt want one as a pet though

  • OMG ! When i was a kid I always thought we couldn't get anteaters as a pet which i cried over.

  • Most places you probably can't. They are also a lot of work to care for properly.

  • OMG! you like anteaters 2?!

  • so..... where can i get an anteater?

  • Wow, how did you get anteaters?

  • That's answered in the new FAQ. Link on my channel page :)

  • That is so freakin' cute!

  • I love anteaters!

  • too cute!!!

  • too cute !!! :o)

  • I just found your photostreams and blogs today and thought Stewie and Pua were cute. I had NO idea just HOW cute until I found these videos on YouTube. Thank you very much for uploading these videos, and bless you for adopting Pua.
