@BruneiRollingstuff Sorry for the uberly late response. I forget the name of the song, but it's one of the tracks that come on a mac - I think you need iLife 08 or 09 (specifically garageband I think).
Depends on the camera and what look the person doing the editing is trying to pull off or experiment with. Also depends on the video media (hg20=strictly digital, hv30=hd dv media). Depends on the editing software someone has. Apparently it depends on various things.. ;)
Hi I just but my Canon-HG20 and cant get to export the video files from camera hard drive. I have a Macbook pro with Final cut pro. I tray to install the sofware tha came with camera but only the DIGITAL VIDEO SOLUTION DISC was succefully intalled. The image mixer 3 does not give me and intall icon...
Q. can I tranfer the movies files to computer or I need to capture?
can you explain me, how I can put my videos from the canon hg20 to the mac? For pc, there was this software included, but how do you make this with a mac? Thank you very much.
It really depends on what you have with the mac. I'm running on an Intel Based late 2006 Model MacBook (the white one). I also have a program that supports the AVCHD format -- Final Cut Express ($199). You mac HAS to have some sort of Intel Processor to work with the HG20 -- so let me know what you got, and I'll do what I can to help! ;D
I mean, the "put-videos-from-the-camera-to-the-pc-software" is the Pixela Imagemixer, and it only works for pc. so how do YOU do that? That was my questions. I have an iMac (the new one) 24 inches...it's the most expensive of the 4 iMacs versions if you need more informations.
you dont need any other software than what you have. you MUST have at least iMovie right? well get yourself a firewire cable and hook it up to your camera and then import it. theres no need for any other software just for getting the footage
You know what? I didn't even bother to see if iMovie 06 would let me transfer the files from the cam.. However, now that I have iMovie 09, I know that THAT definitely gets the job done.. So does Final Cut Express 4.0.. Anyhow thanks for helping out with by providing these people the advice. Cheers
Thanks for sharing these tests & experiments & dry runs! Much appreciated. I dig that you are into high quality equipment. I'll have to keep an eye on your career, might need to hire you some day! LOL
No problem -- I have to do these tests runs to get more acquainted with my hardware and software, especially since I'm learning everything on my own as I go along. Anyhow, you said hire me? Haha - what do YOU do?
