does anyone know a specific time to let it harden because mine is not setting up and i followed the directions????

@xoxopremokid it doesnt sound like it reached the temp ...it reaches a hard ball stage when you arent sure you can drop some of the misture into a cold glass of water and see if it threads into a thin hard string in the cold water...hope this helps!:)

Thanks Jolene! We used to make this when I was a little un - time to bring it back! We're doing butter rum, coconut rum, spiced rum (ah, we like rum..;)), cotton candy, root beer and pina colada. Great video for the holidays. My mamaw use to make this candy every Christmas. This year I think make it,and the flavors I will be making is cinnamon,butter rum,peppermint,strawberry for the kids. I was wondering could I doulbe the batch to make more.

this brings back memories, Miss Jolene! my momma used to make stained glass, cut-out cookies ...after they cooled from the oven, she pour the liquid "glass" into the cut-out window in the middle...so pretty, just like your candy! happy holidays!
