  • What's the big deal with using apower sander ? It's a finishing tool. Thats what he's doing. He's not shaping with it. I think his work is excellent. Nice job Tom.

  • am i mistaken or was that a $8000 bowl turning lathe

  • eres un maestro........................

  • Tom...nice work! What do you use to hollow out the one at 4:11? is it hollow all the way to the walls or not? I would like to learn this technique.

  • he holds his tools a lot different than i do

  • Nice work........

  • i agree power sanding a cop out

  • Some beautiful work, but as far as the video is concerned, I'd prefer narration to random music.

  • nice turnings....I wish I were half as good...

  • thanks Tom, nice video and I admire your work.

  • It is a pityf rog2eyes did not learn anything in this vast experince of his.Powersanding is not a cop out. With a stupid attitude like that nothing would have proggresed past pole lathes.Get in the modern world man.I would also liketo remind you of the old saying in the building trade >them that can DO them that cant TEACH .I sugest you are probably the latter.

  • CHOOSING to power sand to get a finish is part of the artistic expression. Nowhere in the video is it obvious that he HAS to power sand. Michelangelo had no power tools, but all our contemporaries do -- it's the poor critic that blames the tools.

  • your a moron, your obvioulsy mad that he is probably better than you wood turning and probably more artistic. I dont woodturn, but i blacksmith and anyone who is any type of craft would not call this guy unskilled. get real.

  • I am a time served 6 year apprentice with City and Guilds full technical certificate in machine woodworking. I was before I retired a senior lecturer in machine woodworking at a main college in the midlands U.K. I worked for City and Guilds. I taught wood turning to professional level. Power sanding is a cop out.

  • b-b-b-b-b-b-bullshit you are so full of it, and of yourself. why not go make a video of you making world class wood turnings before you bitch about other peoples work... oh wait, you can't, because you are a joke.
