But it's just another awful run-out-of-the-mill Hollywood movie that falls absolutely flat regardless of it's incredible cast, and that's an incredible achievement on it's own...

Yeah, I'm not a huge fan of Dick Tracy. I hate Beatty as a director, but the only thing about that movie i can stand is pacino. That is a crazy surreal character, and it's a good acting job, but not a great one at all.

I love Pacino, but he can't be good with bad matierial and De Niro can. Who ever said De Niro could not be good without Scorsese is a moron, he is just at his best with scorsese. I mean did you see the Godfather part II, Deer Hunter, Once Upon a Time in America, Awakenings, and yes Heat. Oh and Heat is one of the best heist movies ever.

Just saw this and my conclusion is....

John Avnet sucks and the screenplay sucks, I could explain but i would rather not. Avnet could not even make this movie feel like New York. lots of other problems too. same thing with 88 minutes.

De Niro stil brings it even though the movie sucks, and that normally doesn't happen. Pacino is good at times, funny at times, and bad like in 88 minutes at times.
