  • My dad would get mad about the wastefulness, not about the bees n' bugs gettin' in the cans... "I ain't payin' good money for yinz to waste all the pop." Not that we did this, but I can imagine him saying that. And he'd probably make us drink it anyway, warm and flat!

  • I remember going to Pittsburgh this summer and everybody calling it pop.

  • I love these videos- but the laugh tracks are unnecessary- and I think they detract from the video. I would like to see how the video would be without them

  • Man when I heard lemon blend, that brought back some serious Pittsburgh childhood memories...

  • i hate the word soda its pop (:

  • @hannahbananer100 Haa me too I think "soda" sounds so 1950's

  • DUDE ITS MY DAD LOL

  • HAHAHA I can't even count how many times my dad would tell me to "Put moor a dat pop in da fridge so other people will have cold drinks ta get"

  • should have said spiket water lol

  • i want to be reincarnated at a pitsburg son.

  • @philosophergenius WOAH WOAH WOAH. When you spell Pittsburgh, you put the god damn H at the end of it son.

  • @5that1dude5 Hehe i was drunk when i wrote that. I meant to say that I want to be reincarnated as a Pittsburgh son.

  • the accent is perfect! (: its crazy how much like he is compared to my dad..(: my dad always yells at me for leaving pop cans full laying around my house.. (:

  • @devadance4life17 Bees n' bugs get'nem!

  • Pop...gumband..thats how u say it in pittsburgh...pop=soda gumband=rubberband

  • I absolutely love these.

  • I don't really know what accent everyone is referring to.. he sounds perfectly normal to me...

  • Mmmm, LemonBlend...

  • My dad yells @ me all the time when I leave a water bottle half full

  • i haven't even watched it yet and i liked it

  • My dad would never say also...he'd say too. 'And too, which one of you's put a can in the freezer...'

  • SO TRUE, At my house and all my friends houses pop was almost always in the second fridge in the cellar or garage right next to the I.C. light.

  • Lmao love these videos, never realized we had an accent til my ex from Georgia made fun of the way I say "shower". Or "shahher" lol keep up the good work.

  • Pawp in n'a basement. Nice an cool dahn n'ere.

  • I haven't heard the word "Lemon Blend" since I left Pittsburgh.

  • @emm28bee Lemon Blend.... me too! Left in the 70s and my folks left in the 80s. Haven't heard that since.

  • Love the way Dad saunters out, very consistent to the character.

  • Hose water! HA HA!!!

  • Lemon blend...do they still make that stuff?

  • Another good one that got on dad's nerves was when he would go to get a glass of milk and find just a puddle left in the carton. "What the hell? Who put the milk back in the refridgerator with nothing left in it? Why the hell didn't you just drink what was left?!"

  • Us kids had a habit of going to the refridgerater, standing there with the door open trying to figure out what we wanted. Used to tick our dad off! We'd hear, "Shut that door, figure out what you want an come back later!"

  • Those Little Huggies were nasty tasting! :)

  • LOVE IT!! I never realized how goofy my accent was until I moved to Chicago for a year. They weren't afraid to tell me how weird I sounded! One time, my ex came up to visit, and we went to the mall. There was a Kennywood sign on the wall, and he looked at it, looked in the direction it was pointing, and said, "Where's the Kennywood place? I don't see it down there." I about died from laughing so hard!!

  • OmG!!! Love this!!! Need to do a Pittsburg mom!!! lol

  • omgoshhhhhh Lemon Blend love it !!

  • LEMON BLENND!!

  • Not everyone keeps pop in the basement?

  • "If you keep it up you'll get nothing but hose water"

  • im from green bay and i dont hear an accent at all

  • "yinz drink half the can and leave em lyin around the house" my mom hahhaa

  • My dad didn't want me to drink his budweiser

  • haha i haven't had huggies in forever!!

  • oohhh Lemonblend!!!! I LOVE LOVE LOVE that stuff

  • basement pop! YES! my dad has pop in the basement, my uncles do, my grandfather does, its totally a pittsburgh thing!

  • Yinz NAILED it! Bravo...

  • i feel like im the only kid who live's in western PA who says soda not pop....

  • @wondernerd2 i say soda and im from connellsville PA lol. ^.^

  • This is so accurate. I didn't realize how unique Pittsburgh dads are until I left western Pennsylvania - I thought this was how all dads acted!

  • holy shit man this is my dad. but with coke for his rum and cokes

  • ... and you keep it up, you'll get nothin but hose water!

  • i love the huggies reference

  • What's nice about these clips is that it's not the usual over-exaggerated Pittsburgh accent, but an accurate, normal Pittsburgh accent.

  • @squanto2 I actually don't think the accent is Pittsburgh enough. Everyone I know around the city has a way thicker accent than this.

  • @Sikntwstd8 i agree. but the content is spot on! lol

  • I can't stop watching these clips! I'm not from Pittsburgh, but lived there for a couple years. My buddies from there sound exactly like this dude. CLASSIC!!

  • y'all say pop also

  • Love the Lemon Blennd reference! Hilarious!

  • My dad would say: "Yinz kids stay out da icebox an' da goldenage pop! Ya rune mom's chipchop ham an' I'm gonna pass out some lickins!" We'd reply, "Oooh lickins! Here's one for you, one for you, and one for you!". From the living room would come: "Wiseguys, huh? I'm gettiin' my belt !!" and Gramma would respond back, "Oh your daddy's just dutch!" (meaning "full of beans"). Life in Western PA...I miss it so! Jeeta piece-a pizza? Grab one an' a Iron City; game's startin!

  • Shouldn't it be "yins" instead of "yous"? Just sayin.

  • Make sure to mention "Sheetzes" (yeah, that's what we call it!) and MTOs <3

  • God forbid if we stocked his "beer shelves" in the fridge with our pop and drinks. XD

  • Tom Tucker mint gingerale was stashed in our garage for "adult drinks" and he'd lose his MIND if he found out we were drinking it! This is great!

  • Remember when Kennywood gave away 12 packs of pop? That was the only pop we got all year!!

  • Lemon Blend! Now THERE is a Pittsburgh memory!

  • @mnrobb : that was lemon blennnd!!! (with 2 or 3 n's; God that was great stuff! You can still find it on the Internet!

  • My father went a bit over the edge for Y2K I think, so when we had parties in the basement, or when kids came over to shoot pool down there, we always handed out family size containers of apple juice to each person, or a 2 liter of pop. He always wondered how we cleaned up the basement each time, and most of it was us drinking it away, hehe.

  • Ha!! Love the series!
