The Taser was in RE1 Remake for GC and Wii. Basically if a zombie grabbed you, Jill would use the Taser to get the zombies off her, and in the process, kill the zombie.

The taser was a secondary item that was in the knife slot on the top right in the inventory screen. Chris or Jill uses it when they get grabbed by a zombie negating the bite from the attacker.

The taser was in the Remake of RE on gamecube Tolstoy, it was useless. And Jill's gun is a Beretta 92f that Kendo (the gun shop you go into in RE2) made for STARS. Hunk's TMP was an addition they added in RE4, in RE2 the USF carried MP5's. However, even the original HUNK figure from the first line of RE figures back in the 90's comes with a shotgun, so they never get it right...
