actually, I didn't defend her ability as a politician. I defended her personally. Her beliefs. I don't look down on ANYONE that behaves the same way I do because I'm not perfect nor do I expect anyone else to be. I believe that our children are a direct reflection on us. I am just as impressed by someone who came from an abusive background and made something out of themselves as I am disappointed by someone who is given everything and still buggers it up.
And I think that a person's personal morality directly impacts their ability to lead, so I view personal issues as extremely important in politics.

A child is a reflection of the parents UNTIL that child is of age to know and act on right vs. wrong. Then there comes a period of about 5 years where kids rebel and try to find their own way. Then they grow up and you see just how much influence you really had on them the whole time.

Bristol happened to get pregnant but at least she didn't run from her role and responsibility. It's not the mistake that defines us but how it is handled. When he's off teleprompter, he says stupid things like he's been to 57 states. The man cannot talk and make sense when the words aren't scrolling on a screen in front of him.
