  • This helps alot thx man

  • Great Job!

Do you have a recording of the 3rd Movement?

  • You have a real talent and great potential.

Beg or borrow (or steal... only joking) a good E flat trumpet as this concerto will always be played on an E flat by any professional performer.

I have had a lot of fun playing it on an Rotary Valved trumpet but a "normal" valved trumpet would of course be just as good fun.

  • You didn't play any of the key articulations nor play any parts of the piece very precisely or with smoothness. I'd work on being lighter on the tounge, and being lighter and more relaxed on grace notes. Smooth it out, make it less choppy. You have a great start to the piece though! Don't ever give up on it, master it, make it your own. You have great talent and potential, ALWAYS be hard on every aspect of your playing. believe me. And well done on that G-A slur at the end. it's a bitch. lol

  • Hi Im in 8th grade and am playing this piece for a high school of the arts audition in Febuary I only have to play the first movement and this has helped alot I do not find the piece difficult and my sound can compliment the song very nicely but how long did it take you to prepare this

  • @MultiAC130 I dont know it exactly but about 5 months... I think...

You have to practise a lot and have a good teacher.... Btw: I am pleast that it helped to you.... Thanks for your comment...

  • I'm doing this piece for an upcoming audition and listening to you has REALLY helped. One question: How long did it take you to prepare that? I just received the piece today and I believe the audition is in about 2 weeks or so...

But good job! The only thing I have to comment on is watch your dynamics. You watched some of them, but others I couldn't hear. A small observation, but other than that, it sounded great! Good job!

  • @mofrog1 It taked more than 2 months....

  • Great Respekt very good playing! The Trill at the End Prolevel! Sounds very good too!

  • wow, you got talent!! i have two questions, first do you have a professional trumpet? and can you send me the sheet of the piano and trumpet? because i only got the sheet for es trumpet. i would be very grateful!!!

  • Comment removed

  • @hodosattila Yes, I have professional trumpet... Vincent Bach Stradivarius M43...

Sheet I can send to you if you will give your emai adress to me... :-) No problem...

  • sounded very nice i just have always been wondering how do u get that sound when u play the trumpet because when i play it doesnt sound like that. its like a beginner would sound but my teachers says u open ur teeth and u play with that ahhh sound

  • i have a trumpet and im in band

  • You have beautiful tone. This is the solo I'm going to be playing this year, hopefully it can sound this good (:

  • You have beautiful tone. This is the solo I'm going to be playing this year, hopefully it can sound this good (:

  • A little rushed in the beginning section, but it's an interpretation thing. Nice sound though, I'm playing this peice this year for an audition.

  • Good air movement, but you need more work on phrasing. Don't worry. It takes years. Your sound is good. The rest will come in time.

  • you were overall just a little flat other than that ice job.

  • I'm signed in on my brother's account. I am a trumpet player and music minor trying to learn this piece. You have excellent breath control which allows you to produce ana rich sound. My only constructive comments would be to work more on phrasing/expression and those sections that you struggleed on.

    I

  • nice! pianist has sometimes troubles right?

but great performance. there are still some things improveable but nevertheless very good!

looking forward to see other videos by you!

  • good !! keep going~~

  • A good trumpet player, even I an't play this song great.and the piano songs good too.

  • ho srry proffesional piano player-_-

  • overall sounds pretty good. thing that bothered me the most was the high C on the ascending scale. Dont go flat! also, make sure to keep in time for the last 8th and 16th notes (listen to your accompanist) As for the trill, ive been trying to think of the best possible way to do it on Bb trumpet. I found that the most consistant way is to start with A to G using one and two and finding the right place to switch to a straight lip trill from A to G.You sound great though. Keep up the work! : )

  • Velmi dobrý výkon, sám tenhle koncert budu hrát s orchestrem. Jako vždy u tohoto koncertu, dynamika a koncový trilek jdou nejtěžší

  • cheers to your clear, full sound... but lots of sliding attacks... aim for the center of each note, bro. Not bad at all, though. Keep up the good work!

  • very nice...:))

  • I learned this song by ear when I was around his age. He plays it quite well. I wish you (or him) the best of luck in his career!

  • Some thoughts: His tone is a tad on the "wah" side, and I couldn't hear the turn at the beginning of the piece. The second turn, however, was nicely executed. Dymanics werent as present as I would've liked them. Some of the notes are too staccato..the piece should flow. A few bobbles here and there..He's definitely on the right track, tho, so I encourage him to keep playing.

  • dude ur amazing! :)

  • That was really good! The ending is definitely the hardest part. Has he taken private lessons? he has a nice sound:)

  • Normal lesons :-)

  • it was well played nothing to say against it....but how about some tone quality and piano and forte......

  • I'm working on this piece right now. Not easy, but it's so fun. You play it well. How long have you been playing trumpet when you performed that? I've only been playing for a little over two years, but there's a reason I'm first chair in my region! Thanks for the great example.

  • Nice one :) :)

  • Well played mate.

I'm doing this for my Grade 8 (I think) and you've really helped me with my learning- listening to someone else play it. That bit at 'N' (Page 4 on my copy, near the end, where all the arpeggio's begin) looks so difficult... You pulled it off well, any tips for me?

  • Play more than one hour a day... :-) Like me :-)

PS: Often i play the trumpet for example during watching TV. With silent brase, surely.

  • How old are you?

  • Here 16.teen

  • amaaaaaaaazing

i would really like to talk to him

im doing this song for my grade 8 AMEB exam, and he could totaly give me some hints :)

  • maybe you could marry him

  • No thanks...:-)

  • alice you little shit !!!

your going to regret saying that :)

  • well he doesnt want to marry you either apparently

    LOL

  • Great man, this is difficult, but you did it well!

    Cheers from a Trumpeter ;)

  • urm yeah?

  • to je naprosto pěkný výkon..konzervatoř bude? :-)

  • Ne ne...já hraju jen rekreačně...:-)

A hudebníci to maj nejistý...Kdybych se chtěl uplatnit tak bych musel být o hodně lepší! Takže radši Policejní Akademie. :-)

  • Nemyslím si. Zkoušky na konzervatoř bys jistě zvládl - na svůj věk hraješ fantasticky. A otázka jistot - nejistot mi přijde taky spekulativní. Osobně preferuji muzikanty před policajty :-))

  • Já teď půjdu do 3.ku...Už by to byly ztracený 3. roky...Snad třeba někdo z potomků...:-)

  • Maravilhoso!Bravo!!

  • Vzhledem k tomu že vážnou hudbu vůbec ale vůbec neposlouchám musím říct že je to dobré. Každopádně obdivuju lidi co hraji na dechove nastroje... Já bych to asi neudejchal :D

  • Very good. Heard some glitches but since i am not a pro i cannot comment on improving them. I guess those will be gone with more experience. Maybe rushed a bit?

    Velmi hezke.

  • Díky :-)

  • i don't even think it's to fast, but u really need to improve ur feelings in the music...

vibrato would give some nice emotion in it ;)

an try to keep the tension for more than a phrase, try to play the piece as one, not only the single parts after another...

    for ur technique: *thumbs up*

  • Thank you very much!

  • Technicly very good. Make more music. I felt like it was fast. It as great Concerto, enjoy it. It may have been because I thought it was fast that I thought at times you were rushing.

  • I'd say this first. You have to listen a bit more to the piano. It's as much of a conversation as anything else.

    Listen. Listen. Listen.

  • It's quite good, but your flaw is the interpretation. You do no nuances, you must give strong sensations, joy, shock above all because it's the aim of the music. But you have a perfect song, a perfect technic. good luck afterwards, Thierry Caens

  • Thanks...very much....i am very pleast of it...

  • I like it very mač ;-)

Your playing is my pleasure ...

  • Yeah man, sounds good

    Just a few thoughts

It seemed a lil rushed... Maybe take it down a few clicks and really nail everything!!

finish your phrases with a warm and more controlled air, watch your pitch!

Vibrato - Jaw vs Hand? Find what works for you and work on it with long tones.

As my former trumpet instructor always used to say... Ornaments are like ornaments on a Christmas tree and notes are the tree. The most important thing is the tree(the note) use the Ornament to enhance the note

  • Thank for your hint...there are few mistakes..but it is not so bad...Christmas tree you are saying? Ok..:-) Thanks very much!
