@hsumoto - steaming becomes energy efficient if you are steaming lots of things - multi-layered steam baskets, for example. But, I agree that Steven's demo is not energy efficient.
those shrimp on the ice are defrosted frozen shrimp....the price is more expensive per pound because you don't have to buy 20 lbs....they are not fresh dead shrimp.
how can steaming be more energy conservative compare to frying? it takes longer for the steamed eggs to be cooked....you need to boil the water first.
i thought if we put the eggs into the pan we were suppose to turn it down to medium or low so the eggs wont burn
