  • the ultimate rock song everwritten on earth...

  • The Cure speaks for many who've felt lost and like they were the only ones. I know they helped me a great deal. Music has this power; the power to express what sometimes words cannot. I realize it's accompanied by lyrics, but without the music it wouldn't be anywhere close to the same.

  • Wow.Every time I hear this song I remeber playing Wizardry on my computer. I used to loop it on my tape deck and grind way.

  • There is no words to explain what this song makes me feel , maybe I just feel like i´m flying ....., it´s amazing! Robert is a Genius !!!

  • This song has saved my life for over 20 years. Cure.. no words.

  • the best Cure ever!!!!

  • When i hear it the first time and that is mostly the highest feeling in my believe I was in extase. Dream and reality fills my fantasy. Now I am nearly 30 years later and still this song takes me further than I can ever go

  • Robert, I'd like to mention I enjoy listening to your songs!

  • I wish I knew what effects Robert is using with that Fender Bass VI to make it sound like a guitar

  • Ricordi...ricordi...ricordi...

  • Faith is from 1981 and what an album that was. And what a way to close that album. Or a concert for that matter. Thanks for the memories and the soundtrack to a life.

  • MERCI pour cette vidéo , merci beaucoup.

Toi, tu es quelqu'un de bien.

    MERCI.

  • This band was with me threw every high and low in my life.....We all know how hellish growing up can be and this band spoke to me like no other...I saw them at the Shrine a couple of years ago and they were still amazing....

  • This song is untouchable as an eighties cure classic.

  • My favorite Cure song ! I love you guys ! isn´t it time for a new tour soon ?

  • thks the Cure

  • I love how I can't tell when their songs are live or not.

  • Untoachable xxxx

  • Troppi ricordi..

  • emo???? who said that.... was emo around in 1977? or 1982? In my opinion, Faith is one of if not their best album. I discovered this when I was 14 and it's a haunting piece of work.

Darkest depths is correct. It made me feel better.

  • I have tried many a time to explain to people that whilst this may sound sad to some people, for some it gives hope. When I was 16 I went through bad times and Pornography, Faith and Disintergration by The Cure made me feel that it was ok to feel as low as I did and that there were other people like this.

I listen to it now and feel an incredible disbelief that Robert Smith was so unbelieveabley immense to write so many songs that made you feel so many different emotions.

  • @DarkestDepths

I totally agree, I was also very very sad in these years, and thought I would have never come out that sense of inadequacy: a song like this was a therapy to make me feel stronger and to stand against the rest of "happy people"

  • @DarkestDepths I understand completely. Faith, 17 Seconds, and Kiss Me have gotten me through many a hard time

  • @DarkestDepths - Yes, I know. I find WAKE ME UP BEFORE YOU GO GO deeply depressing, whereas something like I KNOW IT'S OVER by the Smiths cheers me up immensely. I suspect it's like Ritalin, which is a stimulant, but not to hyperactive people.

  • @DarkestDepths I hear ya buddy I was in love with my sadness and still go there ocassionally .

  • @DarkestDepths I absolutely agree!!! At that same time the disintegration album did the same for me-It's strange how melancholy sounding music somehow helps when your sad! I also found that the less popular peter gabriel stuff had the same effect

  • @DarkestDepths

I feel the same way today, faith is a nice song that gives you hope

  • Waiting for the DVD release, love it!

  • oh this so beautiful. the cure is absolutely the best band of all time.

  • THE CURE has NEVER been gothic !

Robert says it himself, so stop saying that THE CURE is a gothic band !

It's just good old "cold wave".

  • @CommandantBOD

Doesn't matter what a band says. People will always put them in shelfes they best find fitting. I for one, and I am a Goth for 10 years now, saw them as "a goth band", simply because they _are_ commonly found in this scene. Who would blame them? The Cure is awesome.

But, all in all, The Cure is friggin' awesome music, so I'm okay with leaving it just there ;)

  • simply the best band ever!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • This was recorded on my 13th birthday (09.08.86). I eventually saw them live three years later which was quite simply a revelation... ! The best.

  • to be there. sigh! i wasn't even a year old yet.

  • @esjakeis86 I was one year old.

  • My friend and I would watch this concert on her VHS tape religiously. Great performance.

  • Definitely have this full concert on cassette tape. Twenty four years and still plays beautifully. The Cure will forever be the greatest band!

  • at 1:40 it sounds like there a speaker glitch right behind your neck.. is weird..

  • This would have to be my most favorite song in the world.

  • Despite The Cure represents everything I hate about growing up in the eighties, I actually like this band. Their appeal seems to be their progressiveness and dare to be avant garde in the world of music..

  • I went away alone

    With nothing left

    But faith

  • justify me with empty words..... the party gets better and better

  • cry like the snow-white clown in the sky lost forever in a happy crown?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!Is he calling God a snow-white clown in the sky?4:08-4:19

  • @JohnnyLovelyOfficial OH MY GOD! My stupid baby sister commented this! LOL. I don't know why she was using my computer YET AGAIN.

  • my God, how I love this track, unbelievably depressive, but so beautiful you can't help but to listen from start to finish. Also it's interesting to hear him play @ 5:25 that's some early Disintegration shining through right there

  • Hubiera vendido mi alma por estar allí...no hay palabras, simplemente es mágico.

  • I LOVE this song! Robert Smith is a god!

  • The Cure at their best.

  • Boris Williams foi o melhor baterista pra mim... devia voltar pro Cure.. lá é o lugar dele.

  • Catch me if I fall I'm losing hold I can't just carry on this way And every time I turn away Lose another blind game The idea of perfection holds me Suddenly I see you change Everything at once The same But the mountain never moves
  • What a haunting melody mixed with the unique sound of Robert's voice!! So beautiful and amazing!! The Cure is a band that has truly stood the test of time. Such an amazing and awesome band!! Rock on forever Cure!!

  • IMHO - the best version of faith EVER.

  • @gbr962 yes youre right my friend. how many times i have been heard this version...

  • @gbr962 you should listen all faith perfomance before telling this sentence.

  • il concerto piu bello della storia, scenografica e musica allo stesso piano. viva i the cure e viva orange...

  • amazing place & music

  • Just compare the drum sound of Boris with the sound of Jason... haha JASON SUCKS!

    BRING BACK BORIS WILLIAMS!

  • @dwnunder90 yes please!

jason is the most boring drummer ever!

  • i agree! jason is boring and plays so bad!!!

  • @MadreHadaMoska what do you want a frickin' drum solo?

  • fantasica

  • @cureyed3: faith does not equal god. you can have faith in many things, no reason to bring your sky daddy into this.

  • Wow I like the real dark chill to this song, great performance.

  • in orange was the best purchase i ever made!

  • simplemente majestuosa.

  • @cureyed3 Use less drugs, and Robert Smith is an atheist.

  • there's no god

    but there's faith

  • what a sound..

  • i will luv robert smith to the day i die.........

  • What happened to you plumflowerblossom? I think it's pretty sad you just up and closed your account, hopefully you'll get this message in the email u used for yt. Say fucking goodbye at least, I hate when people just leave with no word, disrespectful and fake.

  • lo mejor de lo mejor de the cure atte curedepe

  • este tema es perfecto.... lo amo... faith.. tan oscura y melancólica... amo a The Cure.. robert es un genio..

  • Love this song. Sitting in your favourite dark room by candlelight, drinking beer or wine and cogitate while listening to this song.... And repeat....

  • dude that would be fucking depressing :|

  • Yes indeed!

    It would be depressing!

But it is wonderful to fall into melancholy while listening to the Cure ;-)

  • yeah i know what you mean.

its a good depressing feeling which makes you realize so much in life.

  • exactly ;-)

  • It's like the depressing feeling of a single tear falling into a cup of Denny's coffee that a dozen packets of sugar can't even sweeten...depressing.

    ;-)

  • I wish I could see him live.

I really like this tour D:

  • this is darkwave and to be honest, i think these are the most beautiful lyrics i have ever heard, lost forever in a happy crowd indeed.

  • The Cure is a Goth Rock band. Nothing at all to do with emo.

  • Faith, the best album of Cure.Faith the best song of the album.I buy this LP when i was 17 ,year 1982!

  • oh yes man...how desperate it is !!!!

  • When i was teenager Smith makes me feel that i'm not alone. Now i don't know, nothing left to faith. Can you define what is real ?

  • this generation is emo..they dont have a clue. cure is roots to all of our souls. those of us who matter.

  • but all thats left

  • ...orgazm, inny wymiar i weź takiego coś stwórz ...to tylko geniusze tak potrafią AWESOME!!!!

  • My favourite band!! So emotive and dark!! Just gorgeous!!!!

  • The greatest band ever!!!

    The best song ever!!!

  • THE band for me throughout my teenage years, still a massive fan, so many people underestimate their influence on many bands, saw them in Paris, but would have killed to be in Orange for this one!! thank you hanging72 for posting

  • The Robert Smith entrance in 00:59 is just breath taking, trully amazing

  • the song of my life :D

  • More like Robert Smith is the King of music C:

  • I went to the Theatre Antique D'Orange last year (2008). I walked over the same stage The Cure played. I sat down and closed my eyes, trying to imagine what people felt at that moment. One of the greatest concerts in the history...

  • We were 15 and so stoned, we hanged up and listened the cure, talked 'bout the life, the death, god and the world and we said, if we will be 30 years, life is over, 'cause we will be old - time to leave this world. But now, we are 30+ and RS is older than the world xD How stupid thougts we had?! But in this moment, if we were 15... they were true!

  • Had the same experience round that age. 30+ now and I still listen to this music. It stands out from everything else!

  • I am 40 and still listen to their old songs

  • :-) eg e t bake t 1980 :-)

  • From 7:08 to 7:26 we have the most intense words RS has ever sung.

  • catch me if i fall

    i'm losing hold

  • ONE OF THE CURES BEST SONG

  • Kinda Gothic sound? Robert Smith is the King of the Goths!

  • Great song, great performance, great concert

  • canzone divina, bellissimaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa

  • i was there,great moment,j'etais à ce concert,c'etait genial,la 1er fois que je voyais mes idoles,ça fait bizarre et genial,tres grosse emotion.....

  • Masterpiece! I grew up loving the Cure & still really love them today.

  • I want to die listening this music !

  • The first album I ever bought by the Cures... It still sounds magical 20 years after I heard it.

This was the Cure. Not the travesty nowadays.

  • it sounds cool but kinda has a gothic sound?

  • I'm absolutely fascinated with this music.

Robert is so lovely and so amazing.

I can not describe what this music and he makes me feel.

    Cure4ever<3

  • Me too. I am totally indoctrinated. It's hypnotic, depressing, and uplifting all the same. These artists are geniuses. I could listen to The Cure forever.

  • whoa

id like too go see that place is that a stage or what that place looks

so cool i want to go get high and just watch the wall

  • la mejor canción de THE CURE nadie lo puede negar

  • KIPPEVEL!!!! AWSOME!!!

  • You must be deaf pal, that is the stupidest comment I have ever read.

Never mind the fact the Cure started way way back - I think around 1974 in their earliest incarnation. Makes it hard for THEM to rip the Sisters off.

I love the Sisters too, primarliy for how they sound as mush as their songs.

They don't sound anything like the Cure.

  • That was my sarcastic reply to someone calling this a Sisters Of Mercy rip, "pal", I myself am of the opinion that I don't like The Sisters Of Mercy. I am of the opinion that I like The Cure a lot and have for a long time. Get it? "other than not sucking..."

  • can you tell me some similar work by the sisters of mercy? i think both are great bands and shouldn't be compared because they were both pioneers and changed new wave forever

  • faith was the best the cure album`s of all time

  • god i love the cures intros they so rock and i want robert as my lover he is the sexiest guy ever **sigh** ... i could listen to the cure all day and not be bored

  • quanto è bellla sta canzoneeee............

  • i no i am a kid of this time and i tottalt agree with you there

  • top depression....Wonderfull!!!
