@Harrymfink actually they do. But they also come in from all over. Before you think you know something check it out. I don't question their intentions but I question their methods. Illegal is illegal. Not very smart if you think that they wouldn't. And not all Mexican immigrants are illegal. And watch your mouth.

dougalsii: if every oppressed citizen of Mexico City picked up a baseball sized rock and attacked the corrupt gov't. simultaneously they'd over-throw it in a matter of days. corrupt gov'ts. all over the world are the people who cause human suffering. the USA can't become a refuge for all oppressed people. we've got plenty of our own problems here from massive debt to unemployment.

Um... didn't most of the European immigrants come for economic reasons? Even in colonial times, they came as indentured servants trying to avoid debtor's prisons. During the industrial revolution, Eastern Europe was hurting. They couldn't compete with cheap, mass-produced products from more advanced countries, so they immigrated and worked poorly paid factory and mining jobs. We hear about the Pilgrims and other people who wanted rights because they make good stories. But they weren't the norm.

Sure, in a sense your citizenship is valued as tax dollars, which pay to keep these non-tax paying people up in your country. It's a paradox really. If the jobs of the tax-paying citizens are given to non-taxpaying immigrants, then who will pay the taxes in the future when all of the taxpaying workers are nonexistent? Moving a problem from point a to point b will only equal the same problem for both a and b. Simple algebra (-)(+)= - People can be so blind to the simplest logic.
