  • For how knoweth a man the master whom he has not served, and who is a stranger unto him, and is far from the thoughts and intents of his heart? Mosiah 5:13

  • A Question to all the LDS out there: Why do you think these people (Evangelical and Fundamentalist Christians) will ever respect you? Why do you guys try so hard to fit in with them, vote Republican and in general act like them? I am an Atheist, but I used to be an Evangelical - and let me say those folks have a SERIOUS hatred of Mormonism. As for me? Me, it's not for me, but if it makes you happy keep up with it. It's hard to be happy. Peace!

  • this guy is so misled

  • @whyyesimlds I think the right issue to protest is the lack of archeology. In the face of such outrageous claims a little evidence would be a welcome sight to the Hierarchy and its flock. Someday the Mormons will investigate the claims of Mormonism as deeply as they research their genealogies and that will really open their eyes!

  • Why are there so many of these idiots in America?

  • @eatmylogic You should say North America

  • hahaha i love how different the music in the background is compared with the guy yelling hahahhahaha

  • I went to the July 11th showing with my mom, because it was my birthday present. She is Roman Catholic, and she does not like that I am LDS, but she takes me anyway, and enjoys the show for its story and she likes how nice the people are who go to see it. I honestly believe that it's wrong to protest like this and judge and criticize. In the end, there is One Judgment, and that's the one that really counts, so I just try to be the best person I can be. God bless you all! :)

  • @ThundaFrumDownUnda 1 Thessalonians 5:23 "And the very God of peace sanctify you wholly; and I pray God your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.". Sorry but the Bible shows were're 3 in 1. Jesus is the tangible connection between us and God, the Father is the decision maker (final authority), and the Holy Spirit is the power and action of God. This is just a simpe explanation. But we are three in one like God is three in one.

  • @ThundaFrumDownUnda- I would like to see the scripture in the Bible that provides evidence for the Book of Mormon. I'm not trying to be sarcastic or smug, the Bible repeatedly reminds us to beware of false prophets, yet Mormons have been deceived by Joseph Smith, despite what the Lord has revealed to us through the Bible. .

  • No, the BOM, other than the parts that Smith stole from the Bible when he wrote it, has exactly no Biblical nor historical support.

  • @ThundaFrumDownUnda- John 8:58 "said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Before Abraham was, I am." Same response God gave to Moses in Exodus 3. Jesus has always been because he is God. If he is a spirit child of God that means he has a beginning.

God gives us all wisdom to understand; James 1:5 "If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him." Not a select few.

  • @ThundaFrumDownUnda- Also, Phillipians 1:6 "Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God." Colossian 1:15 "Who is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of every creature." Colossian 1:19 "For God was pleased to have all his fullness dwell in him." Isaiah 42:8 "I am the LORD: that is my name: and my glory will I not give to another, neither my praise to graven images." John 17:5 "glorify thou me with thine own self with the glory which I had with thee."

  • It is you who assume that Jesus and Father are only one in mind and spirit, but not the same being. It does not say that in that verse, chapter, book, or in the bible itself. That is your assumption. I only repeated what the verse itself said… it’s what Jesus said. Jesus goes on to say in verse 38 that “the Father is in me, and I am in the Father.” If Jesus was only claiming unity in mind and spirit then the Jews would not have wanted to stone him for blasphemy.

  • @ThundaFrumDownUnda Christians believe that (simple explanation):

Jesus is God- not a god (John 1:1)

Jesus and God are one- not separate beings (John 10:30-33)

Jesus is eternal “I am”- not created spirit child (John 8:58).

Jesus is the only begotten- not only begotten in the flesh (John 3:16)

Jesus justifies us not the law- not we are justified in the law (Galatians 2:16)

You can’t just say you are a Christian, and disregard what Christianity teaches through the word.

  • @ThundaFrumDownUnda U ignored my comments about Mormon heresy. Christianity teaches God is one there are no other gods... big G nor little g (Deut. 6:33 and Mark 12:9). Your religion teaches there are other god, that man can become gods, and God himself was once a man. Again, this is heresy. God has always been God from everlasting to everlasting Psalms 90:2. Isaiah 43:10 the Lord states there are NO OTHER GODS. You can't reconcile your Mormon doctrine with Christianity.

  • @ThundaFrumDownUnda U completely ignored my comments about the heretical teachings of Mormonism. From the Old to the New Testament a believer has to believe that God is one. There are no other gods big G nor little g. (Deut. 6:4 and Mark 12:29). Isaiah 43:10 clearly states there are no other gods. Your religion teaches that man can become gods, and that God (Elohim) himself was once a man. This is heresy. David states in Psalms 90:2 "from everlasting to everlasting, thou art God."

  • @ThundaFrumDow The bible has been translated correctly. To my understanding Mormons accept the King James Version of the bible. The other versions of the bible are translated by teams of scholars. The translation of the book of Mormon comes from Joseph Smith alone. There's a methodology called Textual Criticism which validates ancient biblical manuscripts. The historical accuracy of the bible is unparalleled. Mormons have some nerve questioning the correctness of biblical translation.

  • @ThundaFrumDownUnda- "Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me (John 14:6)." How did I get this verse, by reading the bible. See, I know the truth, and have accepted the truth. But, you have traded the truth for a lie like Paul says in Romans 1. You make God and your faith out to be what you want it because you want to fulfill the desires of your heart (continued).

  • continued: Mormon theology teaches that man can become gods... not only that, but that God himself was once a man. What was it that Satan (the snake) in the garden told Eve. If she ate of the fruit she shall be like God. It's the very sin that led to Adam and Eve's downfall. It's the sin that cause Satan to rebel against God. The the sinful desire to be God and be independent of Him. Mormonism is heresy and blasphemy.

  • @ThundaFrumDownUnda- The truth about the book of Mormon is that it's a collection of made up stories. There's no historical, archeological, anthropological, and biblical evidence to support the book of Mormon. Also, I have read some of the book of Mormon.

  • @ThundaFrumDownUnda- You can't base truth on your experience. When you make experience the criteria then you have to take into account the experience of others whose experience is different from your own. I can present my experience of being baptized in Holy Spirit and use that as my testimony for truth. So, who's experience is valid. To bear witness is to have witnessed, so that is why Christians base truth on the Bible which contain documentd accounts of those who witnessed the events.

  • It's refreshing to see a non-partisan group looking into the subject. I went to the pageant when I was 14, and was appalled by the audacity of protesters at (what was to me) a very meaningful religious play.

It would be like people staking out a church at Christmas and protesting the fact that they put on a performance of the nativity. It's just silly!

Despite the fact that we don't agree on whether there is or is not a God, we can all admit that the harassment is juvenile and ridiculous.

  • hey dumbass every religion is the same as a fucking cult, only smaller less accepted religions are generalised as cults there is no difference.

  • I bear witness the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints contains the restored gospel of Jesus Christ in all of its fulness and simplicity.

  • I bear witness that only through Jesus Christ, not an organized religion can anyone have eternal life. His gospel is perfect is only found in it's fullness, without spot or blemish in the Holy Bible.

Salvation is through a relationship with Jesus Christ, not through membership in the Mormon/LDS Church.

  • way to go nice paraphrasing, only you forgot to mention that the bible is a corrupt evil book that consists of homophobia, sexism, racism and insanity eg: in the bible it states that if you work on the sabath (sunday) you must die!! i mean seriosly what a perfect gospel....do what i say and believe what i believe or i will hurt you... how very fucking christian. FUCK RELIGION

  • mormonism is a fraud and a scam, mormonism is a cult so buyers beware.

  • do you base this on your feelings, or on the Truth contained in the Bible? there is no archaelogical evidence for the book of mormon.

The Bible says that whoever shall call upon the Name of the L-rd shall be saved.

    (Romans 10:13)

For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of G-d, not of works, lest any man should boast. (Ephesians 2:8-9)

  • You can believe that with all your heart and soul, but it's still not right and has no Biblical or historical support.

  • You can't bear witness if you weren't there to see Joseph Smith find the "golden plate." So, your not a witness. Mormons use this word without knowing its meaning. Saying you hope is probably the operative word.

  • The best way I've heard it put is that if world religions were different hair colors, atheism would simply be "bald." Is not believing that leprechauns exist a religion? No, it's a logical conclusion based on lack of evidence.

We have no supernatural beliefs in regards to superhuman agency or otherwise, no rituals, and no codes and dogmas in some "atheist bible."

We don't fit the definition of religion at all, although many people keep trying again and again to shoehorn us in.

  • @UBFreethinkers Why do you use the term "atheist" then? Why not just say "you're not religious"? Why do you feel the need to label your "beliefs/values/logical conclusion"?

  • First, let me make clear, we aren't affiliated with those protesters at all. We think they're scumbags. We're an atheist student group from the University at Buffalo who went to check out the pageant, interview actors, and just so happened to take video of these morons.

Now, if you're saying we're a religion because you saw we're an atheist group, you're wrong. Atheism isn't a religion, it's a logical conclusion...

  • 2. a specific fundamental set of beliefs and practices generally agreed upon by a number of persons or sects: the Christian religion; the Buddhist religion.

    3. the body of persons adhering to a particular set of beliefs and practices: a world council of religions.

So, isn't your group is religion as well? Of course it is.

  • re⋅li⋅gion [ri-lij-uhn]

    noun

    1. a set of beliefs concerning the cause, nature, and purpose of the universe, esp. when considered as the creation of a superhuman agency or agencies, usually involving devotional and ritual observances, and often containing a moral code governing the conduct of human affairs.
