  • LOL soooooooooo awesome

  • We need more mentos :D

  • haha, nice end xd

  • 盛大にワラタwwwwww

    ぜひ長距離用も開発してこれでドライブスルーに行ってほしい

  • i want one

  • i want to make one

  • these guys are serious.

  • omg all that coke zero spilling on the floor if i was there id be licking it off the tarmac

  • SONG NAME!?

  • looked like they would've got 300 feet if they released earlier, and some people listed some better ideas of how to make it go even further, seems they should've looked more into it before wasting 50 bottles of coke :P. Anticlimactic is all Im saying :( . I expected a WOOOOSHHH

  • What would happen if I drink/eat coke zero and mentos at the same time?

  • 1:10 lmao

  • Very nice !

  • next step are coke+mentos propelled rockets for the coke+mentos rocketlauncher to install on your coke+mentos propelled car?

  • hahahahhahaha que exito

  • not bad

  • This is an expirement I'd like to try! Someone get me some Mentoes!

  • Too funny. I would like to see about 1million mentos in the right amount of coke.

  • He launched it too late!!!

  • i feel so wasting...

  • crazy :)

  • That's funny!

  • Haha victory!

  • So that toke about 2 weeks to make and it was gone in about 10 seconds?

  • BT did do the soundtrack, will be available on itunes soon

  • The track's on Itunes now

  • one word: hilarious!

  • KIKIRT !!!

  • Hey, I live right by those hangars!

  • how many bottles to get on the moon?

  • i once made a coke geyzer and it shot 16ft in the air no lie. i no cuz me n my fren were tryin to find out how far it wud go so we got an RC helicopter and stuck the tape measure in to the end and so we pulled t down and it wuz like 16ft sumthin inches

  • Awesome!

Someone got a coke and mentos for me? :P

  • That's wicked!!!!!! I'm so telling all my friends!!!

  • awesome!

  • This is the only thing i have to say, BRRRR!!

  • Cool

  • LMFAO THIS IS SO FUNNY

  • DEAR GOD THE MOON IS GETTING CLOSER!!!!!! APOCALYPSE!!!! AHHHH! CONSPIRACY COCA COLA IS GOING TO THE MOON!!! AHH!!

  • Song/Music by: BT... song will be available on iTunes soon.. Source: twitter slash bt

  • Awesome Track by BT

  • Hahahaha Awesome

  • Same set as knight rider 2.0.

  • This is the coolest job EVER!

  • Did u guys shoot this near irvine? Cause if so I know that place

  • If you connected all the bottles into one PVC pipe and used that power some time of motor you would probally get twice the distance

  • Wait a minute,Isn't that building on knight rider?

  • Standing behind car = free soda!!!

  • would it have made any difference if they used regular coca-cola?

  • Go awesomeness and BT music!

  • Saving the earth one mentos and coke at a time.

  • Didn't they launch it to late?

  • @entertainmentsteve no, they lauched it some seconds later to make the aceleration grown before it starts moving; and yes, objects can be acelerated without being in movement, but only instantanely

  • @entertainmentsteve they were building up pressure

  • You'd get better distance if the mento's stream was directed against a turbine that drove the wheels instead of just against a wall, if you can produce a constant pressure stream you could get some good distance, use the rocket blast against the wall to get moving, then use the turbine stream to keep the momentum up, just something to think about ... ;-)

  • hahahaha the moon thing was cute

  • is it revolution i'm seeing?

  • Its still not carbon neutral...

  • You are going to need exactly 5,750,000,000 (5 billion 750 million) mentos and 1,562,782,000 (1 billion 562 million) coke zero bottles to lift a human sized aircraft with the exaust pipe to the first layer of the atmosphere

  • That's Awesome i need a new job :(

  • Now I'm thirsty

  • song?...I love dubstep : )

  • hahahaa these guys are awesome xD

  • Haha. Funny

  • well u would of have more feet because since the man was sitting on the car it apply pressure and that why it didn't go that far(i dont look like that far 2 me)

  • Me likes coke 0 :) :D

  • Lmao this video does make you want to watch it over and over!

  • I would give all Cola in One Big bottle and then the mentos in it

  • Wasted a ton of thrust at first because he was clamped to the wall.

  • Hmmm , Americans

  • lol i thought it would go more than 221 feet

  • It's not optmal. Spent a lot of resources. Can be better with a piston that mix coke and mentos at small scale.

  • I'm Gunna put thoses things on the back of my skateboard

  • アホですね・・・

    つかなんでゼロコーラなんだろ?CMかなんか?

  • 臭狗屎

  • Did you see how fast the guy was going?!? :O

  • They should make hybrid cars like this

  • Epic win!

  • Yes! My son tried to make a small scale model car that used Coke+Mentos for propulsion as a science fair project last year. Didn't think about the backstop! (Sadly, his failed to move more than an inch or two; tried a single two-liter bottle and two one-liter bottles; both 'plain' (ingenious "drop mentos then let bottle flop backwards to be the rocket" mechanism,) as well as through a narrower nozzle. The backstop really would have helped.

  • very dangerous experiment...I didn't know you need a helmet for that...

  • how do you guys get the time for all thoughs experiments?

  • it's a good thing he wore a helmet

  • Folks, this is going to change the world! No longer will we have to pay middle-eastern countries for their overpriced energy-inefficient oil! Our energy crisis is solved!

  • And here I am, dehydrated and smelly breathed, without transport.

  • If they could have figured out a way to load those bottles horizontally they would have made more speed and more distance... they stripped a lot of power by using a manifold system. Still cool video.

  • 0:51 isnt that the hanger they used in the Knight Rider 2008 show?

  • Best tricycle EVAR =3

  • Super rocket !!!!!

  • i'm pretty sure the government isn't paying for this. most scientists aren't paid by the government either. it's companies and universities/grants

  • yeah DUBSTEP RULEEEEEEEEEEEEZZZZZZZ

  • new alternative fuel source haha

  • Wow where do I sign up?

  • I want three!

  • A+ on that project.. I could definitely use that for model rocketry! But they only looked at the moon.. I'd go To infinity and beyond!!!

  • For your information, 221 feet is 67 meters.

  • eccezzionaleee! yeaaaaa!!! :-)

  • This is something that I would like to watch over-and-over again. Great job!

  • song?? Anyone?

  • I see why they did this. Cut funding for nasa now they are gunna send humans to space with coke and mentos. Sign me up!

  • Clearly the bio fuel of the future

  • あほらしいけど。おもしろい。

  • Wow

  • Lol......

  • lol i think the panels behind the guy is causeing alot of air resistance so they didnt go as far as they could have :P

  • 1:10-1:12 looks so epic.. like he's going through time or something

  • You know it's hardcore because some of the guys are wearing work gloves

    : D

  • Sweet...

  • This just screams mythbusters!

  • What i find funny is the fact that the dude wore a helmet. Indeed i'm sure that handling a vehicle incorporating the use of Coke Zero-Mentos Solubility Propulsion Systems has a high probability of it's handler being prone to head trauma. Lulz.

  • Cool

  • Mythbusters!!!

  • Mythbusters!!!

  • whats the song?

  • Wow. What a brave scientist... He should get a t-shirt that says "I survived the Coke and Mentos rocket"

  • Well done. Feel free to loosen your ties now.

  • the best experiment ever?! :)

  • Science!!!!

  • I love these guys!

  • hard to pull, nice 1

  • this should be a commercial =P, dubstep song is pro

  • is this brainiac?

  • This is so genius, I'm going to bother spelling "genius" correctly to describe it!

  • Dubity dubstep

  • Maybe should have opened bottles in "stages" instead of all at once... Power was lost waiting for the release lever. I bet it could farther... Really great job guys

  • funny end

  • LOL

  • AMAZING O.o

  • What is the song name?

  • Awesome!

  • We pay scientists for THIS? Lol.

  • I love the glint in Fritz's eyes when they gaze up at the moon!! Priceless!

  • This is pretty damn cool.

  • and how many liters of foil to produce the coke, plastic and co2 for the bottles of coca? :p :p

Had excpeted a little more power... maybe ask "mythbusters" how to concentrate the spill?

    Anyway, fun video ^^

  • i expected more... like piston that is driven by cola by cola :D i can go like that 10 times more far :D

  • Why'd they pull it and then unhook it? They should of had the bike unhooked and then pulled it. They lost half of their forward force.

  • @ThundaFrumDownUnda they were letting the pressure build in the tubes until the reaction was mostly under way.

it gets its "forward force" by the rods inside of the tubes pushing against the wall. it's technically not a rocket lol

  • "On nothing but coce zero & mentos!" 216 liters of coke and 648 mentos for traveling 221 feet. Efficient fuel? NO!!!

By the way, why didn't he release the bike *before* they put the mentos into the coke? :)

  • Very nice. I just wish the learned to used meters...

  • AEWSOME! I like this! Genious!

  • It's still cheaper then gas

  • cool video

  • DnB <3

  • That works out @ ~ $5386 per mile !

    good going guys,

    ralmfao

  • hahaha liked the end DD:

  • They should not have released the breaks so late.

  • Well done! SCIENCE! Nicely produced video too.

  • cool

  • Actually if you want to go on the moon like that you will need more pressure, and replace the diet coke by Champagne Dom Perignan. I hope you don't have wasted all your money in diet coke.

  • I didn't know scientists listened to dubstep rofl nice

  • Then this is what the government spend my taxes on...

  • To the moon with nothing but coke zero n mentos! Oh and don't forget to wear a space suit!

  • wow all that work for something that lasted 30 secs xD still cool thoe

  • 素晴らしい

  • Does this make you feel better about $2.60/gallon gas right now? How much would it cost (in Mentos and Coke) to power a trip to California from Florida? Ohh the sticky streets we'd leave behind!

  • TO TEH MOONZ!!!11!1

  • That is so awesome!!

  • niice!

  • @Avivco22 BTmusic.com, "Untitled"

  • hehe really aweseome!

but they should have blocked the connections better =\

  • what's next.... coke zero rocket to the moon???

  • nice vid, nice song :)

  • i'm taking aerospace technology in college... and i find this video very resourceful! most definitely gonna try using coke zero and mentos as rocket fuel! haha xD

  • Epic that was so amazing now I want to try it!!!!!:)

  • Awesome!

  • I love you guys! Your friend and fan, Martin Swinger

  • That gives me an idea!!

  • Good thing he had that helmet!

  • I gotta try this!!!

  • the thing that amaazed me the most is that damn huge building o_o

  • Why did they attach the vehicle to the wall in the first place? Didn't they loose power right before they release the vehicle?

  • I cracked up when they showed the Moon.

  • This is the result of budget cuts in transportation.
