I personally love this CPU (I have one) and the 9600GT, I've got one since 3 years and it has been really worth to buy.. Almost every game on HIGH details can run at 60-70 fps, so it's a cheap build, and you can play fine...

It's not at the same level as hardcore pcs around youtube, like i7 processors, 2ghz ram frequency, and ROG motherboards.. But it's really good for "normal" gamers ;)

when I turn the settings up the cars turn invisible or have parts missing, runs fine only I get that error how can I fix this

Put reflections on low textures on high turn on definition and turn off vsync

hey dude i have 9600gt core 2 duo e6750,,3 g ram.i cannot set view distance 100...when i set 100 ..it going back 30....what broblem..pls reply/.....

You need to put a commandline if you want to put the view distance on 100, you should search it in google, there is a lot of info about that.

I used FRAPS to record the video, when im not recording it runs better.

and it isnt that smooth for me at your graphics settings.. which os are u using ??

Phenom II 955 is much more better than Core2quad Q6600, and i have 4gb RAM, you only 2gb..

@Gianchu3 hey how come that you get more fps than me? I have gts 250 1gb i3 2100 3.10ghz 8gb memory ram corsair 600 watt. my rig is better than yours. i only get 27-35 fps without fraps.. :(

@Adredinna Intel i3 is Dual core, means less threads, Ram doesn't matter, games need just 4-6GB, and the graphic card, just because it has 1GB, doesn't mean it's better ;)

@dadofender what you just wrote didn't really solve my problem..my graphic card is gts 250 are you crazy? its twice as good as 9600gt :s anyway i downloaded patch and now i get 44 fps average on gta iv so all that you wrote was a bunch of nonsense.

@Adredinna I'm using a Phenom II x4 and a 9600 GT, getting 60+ FPS average, I have original game so, I guess it's patched.. It's not nonsense ;) 9600GT is a great card still

@dadofender And anyway, read on any kind of forum, that Gta4 is a CPU based game. The CPU has the major stress, and the graphic card helps increasing resources and details. So if you get low fps most probably it's the processor. A lot of people decreased their details, but didn't change anything.

it's the cpu, the Phenom II is better at GTA IV than your Q6600, i have a similar setup (ATI 4670) with a phenom II 955 and it runs flawlessly.

although you might want to update your Video card drivers, the choppiness might be a driver problem, my friends Q6600 runs it fine.

are you sure your running on 9600GT?? which processor are you running on ??? did you lower the graphics settings?? the graphic sure looks like it's from PS3.
