  • a heartless basterd dislike this

  • I watch the movie and I have the movie

  • this scene is so beautiful. especially when hearing Mufasa say "remember."

    it's breathtaking.

  • Scar dislikes this video

  • Thumbs up if you had the goosebumps the whole time

  • i love the music <3 gives me goosebumps makes you wonder what Mufasa did as a child

  • fml, i want to listen to this every day all day~

  • twilight has nothing on this :)

  • @Hollymayewho amen to that! ;]

  • @Hollymayewho Stop mentioning Twilight, ithas nothing to do with this and yes Twilight sucks.

  • the best scene of the movie

  • Stand aside Elvis.

    The King is back!

  • @xBatgirl23x omg, i was thinking that exact same thing!! ;) <3

  • Apparently the people who made this movie didn't think anyone would like this movie, they said "who wants to watch a lion get framed for murder?" but its an epic movie ;)

  • Lion King = my childhood. ;___; I read Macbeth in english class this year and I couldnt stop thinking it.

    Simba = Malcolm / Macduff

    Mufasa = King Duncan

    Scar = Macbeth

Nala = Macduff also (convinces Simba to come back)

    Rafiki = Witches? :O

  • @whatsupkathryn The Lion King is based off of Hamlet, not Macbeth.

  • @Saskatchewangurl124 actually it was just inspired by, and also inspired by bible stories of joesph and moses...

  • @MustangEmmalee But it's still not Macbeth..

  • @Saskatchewangurl124 agreed :)

  • Scar disliked this because he died before this EPIC animation sequence.

  • @xxxVitanixxx he died before he could watch this EPIC animation sequence*

  • Simba is so sexy when he climbs Pride Rock and roars <3

  • I get the chills every time I see this movie

  • I remember as a kid, walking down my hallway on all fours like a noble lion and roaring with Simba when I reached the TV to claim Pride Rock as mine. Ah this movie never gets old. From Hakuna Matata to Can you feel the love tonight, I still get chills to this very day in every little detail of the movie. R.I.P. Old Disney

  • @OrangeWolf6 lol i use to do the same thing was when i was young

  • This is without a doubt, in my opinion the best animated film EVER. It beats Spirited Away, which is something worth saying. The music is part of one thing and this scene proves alone that you don't need words to tell the ending to the film. There are so many other examples in this film alone where it shows the same thing.

Simba climbing up the rock has been inscribed in my mind as the single greatest animated film ending of all time. You really can't get any better than The Lion King.

  • I love how the film's final lines are "It is time" and the music and what we see on-screen tells us the ending.

  • This is the best movie ever made and it gives me the chills every time I see this scene. I love this movie. But after watching it you feel disappointed that Disney can't come up with something as original as this movie ever again.

  • LOL... It still makes me laugh that none of this is possible without Timon and Pumbaa... Those two pawned the most Hyenas in the final battle... XD

  • I first watched this animated film when I was in the 3rd grade... Many years have passed, The Lion King is still my favorite Disney animated movie...

  • THE BEST FUCKING MOVIE EEVEEERRR!!!!!!!!!

  • lol one dude many females... sorry to ruin it for you kids.

  • the one person who didn't like this is stupid. Love this scene.

  • imagine someone's graduation day from high school during that epic music at 0:59

  • when mufasa says "remember" I start crying.

  • someone forgot who they are.

  • I always loved this movie. Every time I watch it, it gets me....right here *touches his heart*

  • This film is a masterpiece. It was the first movie I ever saw in the theatre as a kid, and I still love it, this scene *still* gave me a chill!

  • best animated film of all time, i still have to hold my tears back when simba begs his dad to stand up again :'(

  • Cinema rarely gets better than this. Every animated film ever made bows to the King.

  • thanks alottttttt

  • Does anyone else get chills?

  • @ixithegreat me me me :D

  • this song gives me chills everytime i hear it

  • i think that bolt of lightning went down my spine and gave me shivers

  • rafiki didnt age a day

  • The music speaks to the soul and moves the heart

  • This scene never fails to make me cry....the music is just so emotional and powerful just that moment when Simba climbs Pride Rock to take his plave as king....beautiful. and just so powerful. lion King will always be a fave of mine <3

  • i want to be a lion!

  • Just watched it for the first time in years last night. Truly a masterpiece, the ending always gives me the goosebumps.

  • THE GOOOOOOOOSEBUMPS..?!?

  • "Remember" ;n;

  • The goosebumps...

  • It is time.

  • Fun Fact: The Lion King (1) was hand made? Its true.

  • @MadDogMeh

If I recall correctly, the stampeding wildebeests are CGI, but overlain with cel shading to look more natural.

  • @SlashFirestorm The majority of it was, 93% I think?

  • I cried so much during the entire movie when I saw it in theaters....

  • Hans Zimmer's masterpiece defines this scene and his composition is everlasting in our minds. Truly a great work of musical art.

  • Anybody who dislikes this is obviously a troll with no life...

  • @1texaseagle Scar disliked this!

  • I love who intense everyone is <3

  • 1:17 "Remember." Too chilling for words. I can't watch "The Lion King" without crying. One of the greatest films of all time.

  • No words to describe the experience you receive on this scene in RealD/Disney 3D version.

  • Can't wait to see this in 3D on Sunday! =-3

  • Anyone else left breathless when it cuts to "THE LION KING"?

  • 1 disliker!!!

    how dare they..

  • @xKamehameha perhaps they were blown away by the sheer epicness of the roar, music, and theme that they missed the like button due to the flood of tears! :)

  • OMG!!! I still cry!

  • This song makes me think of my mother. She would tell me so many great things just like Mufasa told Simba. Now that she's gone, I still remember what she wants me to do. This song is so powerful. R.I.P Mom

  • this movie brings back so many memories of me and my uncle (my father figure in my life), One of the reason why its my favorite movie, I always use to pretend I was simba and he was mufasa, r.i.p uncle

  • When I first saw the movie, I was 2 years old. Now I'm 19 and I've probably seen it a hundred times (literally) and I still get chills on my back and tears in my eyes when I see this scene. A truly epic masterpiece!

  • I haven't watched the Lion King since I was younger. Saw this in 3D a week ago and I bawled like a baby. Even the older man next to me was sobbing XD I was crying half because you don't realize how sad the powerful the movie is until you get older and the other half because it was like reliving my entire childhood. <3 this movie.

  • I started crying in this scene. :"D If I could add anything to my house, it would be a big movie theater so I could watch the Lion King like I did in 3D and cry like I do. I love it that much. :]

  • I want a Disney movie to be able to make me cry again.

    Disney,

    Remember who you are.

  • BEST SCENE:)

  • Epic! That's all I can say. Can't wait for the Diamond DVD next week!

  • I get chills every time I watch this. It's so good!

  • The most powerful emotional scene in the movie. It's even more epic on the big screen in 3D. 17 years later this movie blows all other animated movies out of the water!

  • This scene was so powerful in 3D, I started crying.

  • Grew up with Lion King Movie :') It's my first movie and it's still is awesome to me!

  • I'm 19 and I can still see the film times and times.

  • I can't believe that this movie almost didn't make it into production.

  • This is the one movie i will definitely show my childen when i get kids...

  • @veggito Same here.

  • I got late for work because I was watching this 10 times over

  • only disney could make walking up a rock look epic!!!! :)

  • @WickedLady2010 Hahaha. : D

  • i agree best part of tht movie this and when simba grows up in hakuna matata

  • like if you love the part from :59 to1:32

  • Very Powerful scene

  • I love it first time you hear simba properly roar from dat lil noise he made when he was a cub lol

  • the part from 0:00 to 2:35 made me cry ;')

  • *sniff* could somebody be so kind enough to hand me a tissue please? This is just so beautiful!

  • it's all thanks to hans zimmer for making this possible and if it were'nt for lebo m. bringing in the african chorus hans woulda been dead. THANK YOU LEBO.

  • best part 0:00-2:35 and when he goes up the cliff it makes me cry and im 14, best movie ever

  • Literally the only film that makes me cry twice. This moment is so astonishing: beautiful animation, incredible music (god, I love mr. Zimmer!) and so many emotions put into a matter of seconds. That's pure magic. Disney's entire idea of magic and fairy tales can be discussed but you can't deny when they make films like this they do their shit right!

  • @bellamuz I totally agree with you on that.

  • i can't wait when comes out on dvd and blu ray this october

  • @kimruls so true! did you see it in 3D?

  • @sweetcinnamonpnchkin no going 2 get on dvd

  • HANS ZIMMER RULES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @buzzlolyear amen to that!

  • Best Disney film ever! I have a have goosebumps during the throne ascending bit. It's the must powerful and emotional scene I have seen in any Disney film and it's a shame that Disney does not make any movies like this anymore for the current generation. Anyone who dislikes this should feel ashamed of themselves

  • REMEMBER :")

  • "It is time"

From that point onward I get goosebumps

  • @sokkacool I did too lol

  • This move has everything! Great characters, it's funny, it's romantic, sad...the music is just amazing! This is without a doubt the best disney movie ever!!! And the "King of Pride Rock" scene is the best one in the whole movie!

  • i get goosebumps everytime i see this scene.

  • is very funny to see how the food of the lions celebrate kiaras born

  • From the moment Rafiki says 'it is time' I really have to stop myself crying like a loony. One of my favourite movie moments! Though the film in general is my favourite one ever! And I don't care if people think it's a childish choice, I love it and I know I'm not the only one! =D

  • @kittykat8905 Indeed it is not a childish choice, for sure. What I like in Disney's canon of animated features is that they are not only for children, but for all ages.

The Lion King has awesome animation, Oscar-winning musical score, great story and a beautiful message for all ages.

  • @kittykat8905 It is not a childish choice. This movie has some very adult themes. The story is very serious. It was simply animated to make it more child friendly. This made them more money =D

  • @kittykat8905 Should have been rated PG, because some scenes are certainly not childish. I would think a child needs parental guidance when Mufasa gets killed, murdered no less. Kinda violent to be childish. More like an animated drama than a kids movie I'd say. I like that movie because it lacks certain childish qualities you see in today's kids movies, not to mention being the greatest Disney movie of all time!

  • @kittykat8905 yeah i love it to lion king rules and it coming out on blu ray

  • @kittykat8905 definitely not the only one!! :)

  • 0:59 best part in the hole movie

  • 1:02 He looks so much Like Mufasa, I love this movie, it was my favorite from when I was a kid.Such a powerful movie and it taught such great lessons, movies lack that today. My favorite scene from Lion King is when Mufasa is showing Simba the land when the sunrises and then when they're walking and Mufasa explains the Circle of Life to him, at 19 that still has stayed with me.

  • @DEIGirl8 wait Simba is 19? lol..and yeah that's one of my favorite scenes too(:

  • @Dawning12 No lol, i was saying I'm 19 and that part with Mufasa has stayed with me lol.

  • @DEIGirl8 wow..im soo stupid :P and yeah..things this good stay with you for life(:

  • Awwwee...This is the best scene in the whole movie..I always cry though because its just that epic...and with this quality.....I cried even more(': Long live The Lion King!!!

  • absolutely the most epic moment of the movie. I remember having some kind of peak experience when I last saw it, the scene combined with the music holds an enormous amount of energy and symbolism. This will always be my number 1 movie =D

  • This ending is Wonderful, especially from 1:42 until the end! But let me tell you something... even when I was a child, i didn't liked the 2nd Lion King... it is a deception for me.

It would be better if Disney had kept the same Director, Producer and the whole team of Lion King 1! And even taken 5 or more years to make the movie! So we could see a Wonderful movie like the 1st Lion King! But remember: I have Nothing against who likes Lion King 2! This is only a opinion!

    Cheers!

  • fantastic quality, thanks so much <3

  • HD TV looks GREAT!

  • My favourite part it when he goes up onto the throne cliff. That scene very good.

    And the music under it.

  • my best part is when he meets rafiki

  • I freakin love the Lion King!!!

  • thanx SOOOO MUCH for this post. this is w/o a doubt one of the most powerful scenes in cinematic history
