Jesus had nothing against being wealthy. He had issues with people being wealthy and not generous. Also Jesus had this thing about freewill and supporting it. Passing laws which force people to pay higher taxes to give to the poor isn't freewill.

Jesus healed the sick and gave comfort by forgiving the sinner's sins, but last time I checked, he mostly sat and ate with his disciples.

And Thelema and Satanism are not the same thing. The Holy Books of Thelema have nothing to do with Satanism. Actual Satanism is non-theistic whereas Thelema is Pantheistic.

Read The Holy Books of Thelema by Alestier Crowley and The Satanic Bible by Anton LaVey. There's a BIG difference between the two.

Good show but we are not bricks and we are not stones also but beings, special universes and unlimited beings because God is inside us and tell the rabbi to know that too. EU and Big Government must not decide in its own with few people on top but ask all the people what to do because they are beings with god inside and not stones and bricks, materials Glenn. EU and USA must keep this in mind so they dont turn to a structure as Communism. They are in that road ruled by brick or block stone heads

Tell Glenn to make a show about the minimum wage as he did for payments of congres; America can be fixed if the government will make minimum wage $20 hr and 4 hrs per day work shift. People can work many shifts and jobs the wish, but they will be all employed and wealth shared and business will boom again and life rebirth there. There is no other way to fix America,not with left and right games

I see the point that he made in this episode about the parallels between the Tower of Babel and the EU, but the notion that people require Biblical education to see what's happening and to know what not to do is insulting.

The World got along just fine (often better) up until about 1700 years ago, WITHOUT Christianity. The Persian and Roman Empires did fine until the spread of Christianity, which eventually destroyed the Roman Empire.

Secular civilizations are naturally more prosperous.

@GlennRoxWyo The Roman Empire collapsed after the Council of Nicea. It was the influence of an intolerant religion that HELPED bring it down. It wasn't the sole cause, but a major influence. Corruption (not opulence) was also a cause.

And the Roman Empire WAS for all practical purposes secular. They based their laws off of reason, not religion. Religion wasn't enforced by law, thus, they were secular. The Persian Empire under Xerxes also did not enforce a state religion.

@lordvin9 I'd also like to point out that Xerxes allowed nations conquered nations to keep their own religions, leaders, etc. That was why people regarded him as a liberator instead of a conqueror or tyrant.

Because of this minimalist and secular worldview, for a while the Persian Empire was literally a stable worldwide Government.

There is no stability in Government without Secularism.

@lordvin9 The Roman Epire collapsed because the people gave up their freedom to the ceasers & cared nothing about anything but having their games & what not all the while their slaves the Goths cut off the supplies they were giving them & the Empire fell. Corruption, opulance potato/ patato. & again Rome was a PAGAN sociaty that's what all their games were about. The ceasers gave them those games to appease the masses & stay in power. Enforcement of a religion wasn't the arguement.

And all of what you described happened after the Roman Empire turned Catholic. It was AFTER they got rid of secular government that things fell apart.

@lordvin9 I love history discussions, so i am going to put my two sense into it and would love to debate this. Religion had nothing to do with the fall of the Roman Empire.In my opinion, it was corruption, and personal advancement of the eastern emperor over the western one. Also, when the empire was split into two parts, the richest part was in the east. The Western part fall because the Western Emperors didn't have the money to pay for the defences. Relying on barbarian leaders and troops

MY point was that two historical governments covering what was, at the time, the entire civilized world, were most prosperous and grew the most by not intertwining religion and law. Being SECULAR governments (as opposed to Atheocracies.)

Rome was roughly 1000 years old when it fell. Christianity was established as official religion in 325 c.e., and in 476 c.e. the empire collapsed.

It lasted for a millennium and then about 150 years after Christianity became the official religion it collapsed. Do you think this is a coincidence?

You're still ignoring the dates. The Roman Empire was 1000 years old. In 325 c.e. it went Christian. In 476 c.e. it fell.

Can you explain why it lasted 1000 years but fell two generations after Christianity was introduced?

I'm actually a big fan of his, but we disagree sharply on religion. Christianity is just as bad for a civilization as Socialism. It's not a viable alternative, it's just another system that strangles a culture.

The idea that all of his fans are Christians keeps lots of intelligent, useful people away from him. The difference is HUGE. "His network" is obviously very secure, for which I am very glad. This NATION, however, is being crippled by Christianity, just like the Roman Empire was.
