I don't have money to buy that book though i'm so eager to have one....can you send to me that book after you are finished, else can i ask your good heart to buy one. Thanks a lot.
I like how it uses the orgional order of the TaNaKh (ot) and the origional names. What I do not like is the Yiddish that is used in the NT section. I took a class in University on the NT and so I got it for that class.
Hi there, blessings in Christ. Just watched your video about the CJB. I too use this a lot myself, I go to C.A.R.M and witness there a lot also. I have recently had debate concerning this CJB in regards to the Name of G-d,
My husband, who is Jewish Ethiopian just received Yashua as his Savior and I was wondering if they have Bible's translated from Hebrew to Amharic which is the language of the Ethiopian people. Any sites or ideas would help.
I bought a leather version of it, will be interesting to see whats happening. Im currently on paltalk, and part of a small messianic congregation, learning the bible etc! If your interested, its in paltalk, under the Christian subsection, from Sunday 6pm,thats Australian Sunday 6pm we start. The room is called something along the lines of messianic teachings etc.. youll find it, its fairly small.
just a comment on the jewishness of the new testament while that is mostly true Luke and Acts were both written by Luke the only Gentile writer of a book in the Bible.
It is an easy to understand version and says so much more than the KJV. I understand that when the original languages were translated into the KJV some words and phrases were left out because the translators didnt know what the Hebrew word or letters meant. That is what the italics are about in the KJV--someone's idea of what was meant, not the actual translation
Read it in complete confidence, there are no mistranslations or biases. In order to accurately understand the meaning of the Scriptures one must go to the source. You can never go wrong by doing that. The CJB introduces the reader to the Jewish ness of the Gospels. Most of us were thaught to understand the Scripture from a Greco-Roman anti- Jewish perspective thus by passing the fact that the Book is essentially a Jewish document and was written by Jews.
I enjoy this version of the bible so much more than the King James Version. I have found that this bible is most compatible with the KJV, in that where the KJV puts the word, the CJB puts the definition of the word. It draws it out or fleshes out the meaning of the words in scripture far better, making it more words to read but you get a better understanding.
Hey Brother, we recently discovered this bible through a friend and I have to admit it is so far very exciting to read. We also have it on esword, so we are able to compare the CJB and the KJV side by side and I would say it is an excellent translation! I find it more reliable than any other translation.
About 3 years ago, I too, got so sick and tired of trying to discern truth. Its ridiculous how much is taught that is just not true.Through a series of events, I got my hands on one recently and I am very impressed. Its much easier to read than KJV I think. The only thing thats hanging me up is the use of Hebrew names. I think we have a lot to re-learn. Its gonna take time to forget what the American church has taught us.
Also, I know most people don't like to read introductions, but this one is EXTREMELY helpful in navigating through this Bible. It's very long, and takes patience to read, but it was well worth it for me.
Thank you so much for your video! I've been reading the CJB for over a year now, and I've learned more & have come to a deeper understanding in that short time than ever before. So in a way, I suppose I've come to a point where the CJB is the version by which I tend to measure all others. I know it may possibly not be the "absolute", but it's taught me personally more than any other. God bless!
Yes I have been using the Complete Jewish Bible for a couple of years now. Makes more sense to me. I have been studying the Feasts of the Lord and the Jubilees. Us Christians are being led by the Holy Spirit back to our Jewish roots of the faith in Yeshua. Halleluyah !!!
hello , I want to thank God first for finding your biblical discussions. I can relate to your videos because I myself have left the church and found more of God. I find that I only am searching for the truth and the Lord Jesus answered me more now than ever. I asked and He let me find Him!!! I have been worshiping God for years now in the messianic Jewish faith because I know it is more christian than the commercial christianity out there. I have been so fulfilled . Hallel o Jah!!!

I do like the Complete Jewish Bible, I like how it reads. I am planning on purchasing one, I like to collect bible translations, it gives you a broader , deeper understanding of the word of God.
Thanks for that information, I to am on the path of wanting to know the truth. as much as it was in best intentions to create english version bibles, i have come to realise the bible came from the teaching of g-d to the jewish people. I believe the mis interpution of the words/language has been possible from in intentional acts, but i would all urge christians not to switch off but to look to the jewish bible and learn what was reall said, it may make a big change to their lives
I just a copy of this bible yesterday and I find it to be a very good edition of god's word right next to my red leather bound NASB Bible I own. I have a love for the jewish ppl and israel. I just wish we could come together, and I truly blv we will in the end times. jews and christians shall rise up against the muslims and all of hateful evil, islam. once jesus comes back jewish ppl will be like christ also I think as we are as christians and accept him as lord. shalom!I wish to visit jerusalem
Shalom Aleikhem, I pray that your feeling better. I personally love the CJB over the KJV, on account that the King James has a few errors in it when it comes to the Old Covenant. For example, I was raised on the KJV and it says in Micah 5:2 KJV "everlasting", but in the original Hebrew text like that found in the CJB it reads "ancient times". The entire bible is a Jewish book and I really love the CJB over the KJV for the reasons that I mentioned.
I've had the CJB for, i think, 2 years now or so. I like it because of the reasons you said yourself. Over the years i have moved from reading the NIV to reading NASB to CJB. Now i use CJB and NASB when i study the Bible and take the CJB to Bible studies so i can compare it with the other versions of the Bible.
I am making some videos of myself reading out of CJB. I have done 3 chapters so far, if you want to hear it read outloud.
i am a hebrew believer and i use this version , the kj has many errors i have found that i cannot use the kj against the cults as affectively because of the errors within .the numerical value for christian and jews in the hebrew code is 2 and 2 the 2 housess must come back together. shalom my brother you are going in the exact direction G-d has for his servants at this time.
Our family has been involved in the Messianic movement for 13 years. We caution you on listening to rabbinic teachings. Yehoshua (Jesus) spoke against the Pharisees which are not modern day Rabbis, even messianic ones. The Complete Jewish Bible is good for perspective but the KJV and The Scriptures version are more accurate for study. All modern translations including the NASB and the NKJV are based on Wescott and Hort's Greek New Testament who were not godly men at all.
I meant that we need to be wary of the teachings of the Pharisees because they ARE modern day Rabbis. They think the oral law supersedes the Word of YHWH (God). Modern day Rabbis that accept the Messiah bring some of that teaching to their messianic congregations. We just need to make sure what they teach is in the Word and most times it is, just be careful. :)
I was given The Complete Jewish Bible about 2 years ago and I absolutely love it and have completely worn it out. I mean the binding is loose and the pages are full fo notes...Praise God, I never thought I would be able to comprehend the Bible the way I do now. I was skepticle at first, but after trying to find something wrong with it and being unable to I finally LEARNED with the guiding of the Ruach HaKodesh (heehee) I have far surpassed my own expectations of Biblical knowledge. Enjoy!
I think the CJB gives us a perspective that has been lost through time and is very valuable in understanding the cultural aspects of the Word as it was origianlly intended. The only thing I do not like about the CJB is the substitution for the name of (YHWH). Rabbis teach their people not to utter the most Holy Name but that is not what the Word says. We are to proclaim His Name, YeHWaH and all His mighty works according to Moses. When we read the Word, we use the Name of Power and glory. D.
I recently became interested in messianic judaism from gods learning channel a local tv station with a bookstore out in the country. I found this little gem out there. its my favorite version of scripture pertaining to israel and the hebrew language. I can say I am a christian zionist.
I think that I would disagree with you on this. To burn the Word of God would probably be consider a very bad thing in His eyes.
I know that people say that our bibles today are too far off from the original, and while I do agree that language has altered them some, I somehow think that God is able to keep His word in tact, even after thousands of years.
@scutter4christ Hello, I have been reading the KJV bible every since i knew about a bible . Have found somethings that i have been troubled by the KJV . I see verses that say one thing and mean something different .I wanted to find a bible that was accurate as i read and see it without having to go see what someone else says .I notice many scriptures in KJV like , Husband of 1 wife ,better translated Faithful husband , Holy Ghost referred to as it , better if said He ,
@scutter4christ In Heb 4:8 , ACts 7:45 says Jesus when would been better said Joshua and thats just a few i found already . As i looked at many translations i noticed only one version that translates these words most accurate . I have found myself a new Bible and excited about learning the words in the original . I cant wait to get my new bible in a few days .Finaly found a version that i didnt know was out there . God Bless
Hi Scutter. Good video. I agree with evcrawfish for the most part. I read KJV in the main, along with CJB also NKJV and NIV. I try to build a 3-D image of the verses I am studying by comparing the different books.CJB has some good points, but to be honest, when I am after the truth, I find the KJV and strongs' concordance really hard to beat. It takes a bit more time and patients going through verses this way, but it is much more rewarding to my spirit. Less external influences is much better.
The Word says that every word is established on the testimony of two to three witnesses. Using more than two translations for study is excellent and something we all should do. We use KJV and Strong's as a primary and use other translations to help interpret what is being said along with Lexicons. I like the "3-D" image concept. :)
The NASB is the most accurate and literal translation on the market today. It is hands down the best there is. However, due to its literalness, it reads very "wooden" and dry. However, its the best for Bible study.
The ESV is a brilliant blend between the flow of the NIV and the literalness of the NASB and is suitable for Bible study.
Jewish Bible - Good translation and has much to offer. However, there are customary issues influencing the translation. This also has its negative impact.
Jewish Bible is the BEST MOST ACCURATE TRANSLATION available hands down. There is no negative impact of people understanding the original meaning God intended. That is the only translation I am interested in thank you.
I thought this same thing about the NASB until I read about Wescott and Hort who were not godly men. The NASB is based on their Greek manuscript and it is different than the one used by KJV and most Hebrew translations like the CJB and the Scriptures version. This information can easily be researched for yourself. If you find info to the contrary let me know.
The KJV is actually an Anglican Catholic influenced Bible. It is riddled with errors and issues due to its heavy use of the Latin Vulgate, which was extremely corrupt. Its not a horrible translation but not a great one.
The NIV is a "phrase for phrase" translation. This means it is not "word for word." It tries to give the overall meaning but loses literal accuracy.
well from all the research i have done, the new testament was written by jews, but it was written in greek and the original intents are from the greek. not hebrew or aramaic. but since we don't have a full understanding of all the ancient tongues i recommend reading at least 4 or 5 translations concurrently. that is my 2 cents. and also your new guy you found to listen to, well i don't listen to anybody and i mean nobody. i will discuss ,,, but as a christian i don't listen to "preachers" period
I totally understand what you are sayiing; I same way but I have attended a Messianic synagogue and can honestly say I enjoyed it & I have carried with me for years what I learned there. It gave me a passion for Christ I had not had before; and an understanding of the culture Yeshua(Jesus) lived in and it really gave me a new understanding of God that has brought me closer to Him and into a deeper relationship and a new found ability to actually worship Him and obey Him as we are suppose to .
I have had this Bible for years The more you read it the more clarity you will have of Jewish culture You are right in that you will learn Hebrew, especially by daily reading.. It is by far my favorite & the most accurate translaton I've ever read The Books are arranged in the order written as well Once I start reading The CJB I have a hard time stopping I rarely read KJV & never NIV NIV removed all of the References to the Lambs Blood, & was translated by some Very unGodly people.
