I tried to get the Ronettes out of my head by listening to the Crystals, Chantels, Chiffons, Shirelles, even the Chordettes. Nothing worked. Ronettes Rule. The others are good too, no doubt, but those three girls, what can I say?

Really love this in stereo....never cared for the mono version. Phil liked mono because it highlighted "his" Wall of Sound" rather than the singers' voices. There is a version of the white album (Philles 4006) in stereo, the record club release produced (with a STEREO marking on the cover). But I prefer either the European release, or the Japanese release both of which can be purchased on EBay. The stereo on both records is terrific, with my final vote going to the Japanese release by JVC.

Awesomely done! No computers, no cell phones back then...just imagination and 3 talented girls with an idea and hard work and look where they ended up. They were phenomenal. Beautiful, I first saw the Ronettes on Top Of The Pops way back in the early sixties. I think as a young lad I must have falling in love with all three girls. Now all these years later this lovely video still has an effect on me!
