I did find a link for that JFK special. but I can't seem to post it on here without it saying an error has occurred. anyway, type in JFK: an unsolved murder on Google, and KRON's website will be one of the first links.
Maybe I'm mistaken, but I don't think I've ever seen a car overheat as fast as the one in # 10. I think you'd have to really be a numbnuts to cause that to happen...
Dig the old Siegfried & Roy sign at 9:13, still at the Stardust at this time? Love old Vegas shots, these views are the only ones left of the Vegas of my childhood (not recognizable today).
The Castrol Commercial you were talking about was made in 1987, and back then, even further back (actually early 70's to late 80's) you had a lot of small cars with 4 cylinder motors, so in other words, they break down easy, only thing good about 4 cylinder cars however, was that they were easy on gas.
Hi, 80sCommercialVault! Thanks for uploading this video which has my favorite 1980's TV ad that your uncle had made---LIVE 105FM! Bcoz I love 80's dance beat like yours! Thx again!
No, no. It's "Mac and Mutley" which was a local bay area show about a guy and a dog who would do crazy stuff and meet interesting people. "Mac and Me" was an "E.T." ripoff, and also one of the scariest movies ever made.

I find it a bit offputting that Castrol car oil is sold in a drug store. I mean, it seems a bit unhealthy.
And the 105 FM commercial...to sum it up in one word-hilarious.

1. My goodness MAZDA, my Kingdom for an airbag.
2. So that's where The Men's Warehouse started. I still can't afford anything in there. I guarantee it.

I agree with that, Today's 4 cylinder cars are a huge improvement as to what they were back between the early 70's to late 80's.

Mac and Me... if any movie could officially have the title of Product Placement: the Motion Picture, that would be it.

Chevron: "We fuel your freedom, and you fuel our CEO's multibillion dollar salaries"

How long did Emerald Yeh do "That's What A Friend Is 4" segments before doing Contact 4 and and anchoring KRON4 News?
dinfg6 2 years ago
I think all the anchors did "TWAFI4" segments. At the time Emerald Yeh was anchoring "Live at Five" with Evan White.
manhizzy 2 years ago
Emerald anchored at KRON from 1984 until December 2003 when she was laid off under Young Broadcasting.
ptb267ii 2 years ago 2
All the good anchor on 4 quit or were laid off around 2001-2003 with Pete Wilson being the first one to leave KRON4 after 9/11.
