@03blackgsx Peacocks may if they are in a tank too small with too thin of glass. A lot of people keep theirs in 40gallon or 55gallon tanks, and it is very unlikely that a Peacock can break the glass in one. Some people put plexi glass on the bottom of the tank, so that it can't hit the bottom while digging. hth

@luko2400 It Can shatter glass and break your tank if your not careful so you need a strong glass such as acrylic in order to have one. It will also punch the glass anytime it see's you through the tank. they punch first ask questions after they thing is dead. It also shapes homes in rocks by punching and breaking the rocks.

Its simple to prevent glass breakage, just line the inside of glass with 3/8 thick lexan, they cant break that and its hard enough it wont scratch when carefully cleaned.

@runescapefreak795 A friend of mine, who had his Mantis in a 10 gallon tank (with relatively thin glass walls) claimed that it cracked the glass, which caused the tank to fail and the Mantis to die. I use larger tanks (75, 125, and 180 gallon), and have not had this problem. I assume that it is very unusual for a Mantis to break the glass. For one thing, they would not have any need to attack the glass itself!

@yajonbondy there are actually many cases of these breaking aquariums which is why allot of aquarists steer clear of them especially if they have an expensive collection of fish. It is a shame because they have such vibrant colours and are really interesting to watch, but not a good idea to own them. good luck
