  • I always thought it was funny Darrell Waltrip and Bobby Allison basically traded teams before this.

  • @hoosierredneck1 Not exactly. Bobby Allison went to DiGard from Harry Ranier after the 1981 season, and Bud Moore before that. Allison drove for Junior Johnson in 1972.

  • @vanillacoker1 Well I meant from the aspect that both drivers drove for the same teams, I should have rephrased it better. I do love this video though. Id rather watch these than todays nascar.

  • Mark Martin in the jolly rancher car!

  • From what I can gather, TBS wanted to cover the "end" of the season at that point. They carried Riverside and Atlanta in 83 & 84, added Rockingham in 85. Last 3 races where on TBS in 1985.

  • ESPN would not be back to Atlanta until 1986 as TBS would take over in 1983.

  • @Radar19792008 funny that TBS kept doing it, then the TBS Crew and coverage was moved over to sister TNT in 2001

  • I don't think so Mark is in Daytona Beach, Florida, where had lived, the book says.

  • @limbo22222 Mark Martin is from Arkansas

  • the good old days of nascar on espn way different and better then the one we got now

  • This grid was pretty cutting-edge for its time (well, the top 10 at least) Keep in mind that this was 20 years before Fox's video mugshot grids.

And since when was Mark Martin from NC?

  • what is the starting lineup music?

  • I was going to ask the same thing

  • It's "Can You Feel It" by The Jacksons. If you check my other videos, you'll see an instrumental version I created, as part of a project I am working on (just make sure to nevermind the video portion of it!)

  • Good Starting Grid Video, maybe you can do the same starting grid video using the same music but using complete with the remainder of the Starting Lineup Starting inside Row 6 and ending in Outside Row 20 using the same background, please?

  • he got it from the ESPN broadcast from old tapes,. ETC

  • This was Marty Robbins' last start.

  • Jody Ridley is from the town a little east of me. I wonder whatever happened to him

  • Sweet! I've never seen this grid before! :)
