  • i have the feeling hes not done yet five albums and all clasics, i saw the 2 years ago announcing his comng around, what ever that means. art is timeless, like a good wine needs time for people to understand, what a creative mind.

  • Yes. Roland is a musical genius, with an incredibly unique voice. Unfortunately. He only gave us five albums through the years. But. Damn. What a nice journey it was. It Will last forever in my heart and mind. I wish I could have July 4th 1985,

Santa Barbara County Bowl concert back again. Best concert I have ever seen

    to this day.

    Thank you Roland.

  • @iansithlord Wow! Swords and Knives is also my favourite TFF songs, and the Seeds Of Love was defo their BEST album!

  • @cosmicgalaxy

Interesting choice, never thought of it in that context.

Sure beats out Watch Me Bleed ;)

  • a profoundly wonderful masterpiece

  • great sound...epic.. a letter to space

    thanks. D:Y.

  • beautiful video good edition ,perfect song, tears for fears

  • dreamy ... like mussels in a shell, love it roland

  • Orzabal is a genius. His choices of players perfectly compliments this piece: Pino Palladino on bass, Manu Katche on drums...amazing

  • @davidshane1968 Definitey agree. Manu Katche has one of the best FEELS I've ever heard. He just creates such moods and colour with his deft touches, press rolls and splash cymbals. I love the whole feel of this song, especially when those awesome back up singers come in.

  • @dreams2action

Yes, Oleta Adams et al were fantastic! Let's not forget Pino Palladino and his influence as a bass player...

  • For sure. Pino can play anything and make it sound great!! I love this whole album. I've listened to it literally thousands of times.

  • @dreams2action

One of my top ten. Roland is a genius - I'll never tire of this album. You must be a musician too...I'm a guitarist, guessing UR a drummer. I went to Berklee College of Music '89-'92

  • Really? Wow Berklee has an amazing reputation. I am a drummer, live in New Zealand so a long way from you but music is universal. That's what is so great about it. I played for 15 years but sold my kits to travel Europe etc and never took it back up. I miss it terribly. One day!! You play in a band now?

  • @dreams2action

I worked for a few years as a film/advertising composer, played in a few bands in Toronto & moved out to the west coast. Currently, I'm a chef & play guitar for fun - hoping to hook up with a band again - miss it!

  • I know how you feel. It's always a part of you.

  • A truly great song from a really great album. Fun Fact: This video was actually taped in Detroit.

  • They told me I was in Kampala, but I was so jetlagged it might very well have been Detroit lol

  • perfect match! thank you for adding this video.

  • You're welcome!

  • This music is so good it gives me goosebumps.

  • One of my favorite songs!! Love TFF!!

Thank you so much for the uploading...

  • You are very much welcome.

  • It's cool to see my video creating all this dialogue - that's the beauty of TFF, the music embraces and expresses so much.

  • A pioneering hip-hop group.

  • I can`t get enough of this entire album. It sucks when a group puts out their best, most heralded work and then split up. I`ve seen it time and time again.Whenever they get back together and try to rekindle that chemistry that made them so great it never lives up to their previous work. EPMD is a prime example. That`s right I said EPMD because I listen to all kinds of music. I don`t know if anyone gets where I`m coming from."The seeds of Love" is an extremely unique, once in a lifetime album.

  • I definitely get where your coming from. I listen to it all from Van Halen to Tribe called Quest. and there's nothing like discovering a musical group at the apex of their career only to see them break up.

  • Yep, it's Pino. The bass harmonics can be played on a four string bass, fretted or fretless. Pino is not known for any 6 string bass playing. This recording most likely features his sunburst Ernie Ball Music Man fretless four string which he used on so many landmark recordings.

  • swords and knifes i want played at my funeral.love this album and is the best ever!

  • That's funny. I've been saying the same thing about "Everybody Wants To Rule The World" for years. I want it played at my funeral while everyone's getting the hell out, lol!

  • @iansithlord Strange, I always wanted "memories Fade" played at my funeral.

  • This song is from the best album they ever did....Seeds of Love

  • loved your comment!

  • I agree,I agree, I,agree! "Seeds of Love" is their best work, even though "Songs From the Big Chair" was their most commercially successful album. This is the most consistent they have ever been, track after track its one thrill ride. Beautiful music like this comes only once in a while so I appreciate it so much because I may never live to experience such musical bliss again.

  • Pino Palladino, the magical bass...

  • Yes, absolutely!

  • Pino Palladino? Not Curt Smith? I always thought Curt was an excellent bass player because of the bass harmonics he plays on this song! Most likely a six-string fretless bass guitar?

  • Orzabal magical voice.....

  • wonderful song and yes the voice is magical.everything Roland touches is magic.

  • indeed, but famous last words...its awesome too
