kills me that Joe has stuff like this and the idiots at Rolling Stone Magazine don't even have him in the top 100 greatest guitarists of all time. But have Kurt fucking Cobaine.....
my favorite Joe track. just provokes so much emotion. have never had a big enough system to sound this out loud enough. and i run a pair of Celestion 44's.
The Forgotten part 2 is the biggest music of all times. The guitar is a magical instrument, if you need that magic to come out, you'll need Satriani. Ultimately there is one thing i have to say about this song and that is : If God spoke, it would affect my soul just like this.
I like all all good music. I like Satch, I like Dream Theater. I like Guns n Roses. I like Michael Jackson, I even like rap (if it's good). I like classical music. I like Beethoven and Bach.
the best production in the world of music......maybe i did listen to it more that 2000000 time thats true....& she still make me in trans......thnx satriani
my guitar teacher is making me learn this song. and we he showed it to me i had my jaw dropped and he busted out laughing and i said "sorry but....theres jus no way" XD
One of my favourite songs by Joe. So much emotion in this song. I can't handle it. LOL If anyone finds a video of Joe playing the Forgotten Part 11, please forward it to me. I would greatly appreciate it. I love this song. Thanks for sharing. : )

FYI joe was asked why he doesn't play this one much, if ever live. He said it put the mood of the audience soooo somber, it was hard to pull em back up..
Maybe, Satch is not the best in technics, but he's the greatest guitar comoser ever! So touching, his guitar just sings like a man... So sad thing :'(
listen to Rush - Afterimage along with this track and it sounds oddly similar, especially the ending. They both came on by accident for me one time and i was amazed and shocked. I did some research and I found out that the Rush song came out in 1984, and Satriani's a few years latter. It almost seemed like Joe added the Satriani version of the lead guitar role for the Rush song.
I remember exactly where I was when I first heard this song (telling my friends afterwards I just had been listening to the greatest solo I ever heard)
hands down, one of the most inspirational pieces of music. I truly believe you can hear his voice in this song. There is no other way to say what he is feeling towards his fathers death, this is EXACTLY what hes feeling
I'd youtube them before stating such nonsense. Cesar and Gustavo are rising stars with original music, although they have a lot of covers here on youtube I own both of their solo albums and loving them. Andy and Paul have been around but relatively new to solo instrumentals. Andy is my 2nd favorite after Satch, I recommend his That Was Then This Is Now and Resolution albums. Paul has got a couple good solo albums too - Silence Followed By Deafening Roar. Check them out.
