  • Could you do the same with a pod hd500?

  • @Dannyhasnolife Yes, absolutely. We hope to do a video with an HD500 soon, but in any event, it works exactly the same as with the XT Live.

  • @rjmmusic Is this compatible with a B-52 at 212?

  • I'm OCD and could not finish watching your vid because your mic stand is so dusty. :(

  • anyone here using this same setup but using the 4 cable method??? i need help because when i use it, i have both the amps aound and the x3 amp simulator at the same time, it pisses me off

  • hello! so in this video u r only using the x3 as a midi switcher?? couldn't it also be used for adding the x3's effects? for example, create a preset with both channel swiching (amp) and different fx in every preset (x3)

  • @TheSoyuken I was using effects, but they didn't come out very well in the video. You can definitely switch effects and amp channels simultaneously.

  • @rjmmusic thx for the quick reply! yeah i noticed when i watched it for the second time :P but as far as i know, the x3 is a preamp, not only an fx processor.. so what i basically want to do is use a dedicated fx processor like a g-major in the amp's fx loop so that time based fx sound more natural.. but as far as i see in the video,u r using it in the amp's input, right? could u possibly use it with a 4 cable method in order to maintain ur amp's natural sound?

  • @TheSoyuken Sure, you can use the X3 with the 4 cable method, or a processor like the G-Major in an effect loop. The audio connections don't affect the Mini Amp Gizmo - you only need a source of MIDI messages (either a floor based effects unit or a MIDI controller) to tell the Mini Amp Gizmo what to do.

  • @rjmmusic thank u so much for your time!! what a company! :)

  • do u guys have a pedalboard version of the miniamp gizmo and 4 pedals to control via midi but that i can have on my pedalboard and not rack

  • @MassimoPetrucci We don't have a specific pedalboard product, but both the Mini Amp Gizmo and soon to be released Mini Effect Gizmo are pretty small and will easily fit on many pedalboards.

  • also, could you bring other pedals into the equation ...... say you wanted a noise gate pedal and or an EQ pedal for when you was using a particular channel on the amp. And so, for your distorted sound, youd have your crunch channel on your amp, and a couple of pedals, and for your clean sound, the clean channel on your amp and patch from your pod..

  • @sidge428 If you used our other product, the RG-16, instead of the Mini Amp Gizmo, you'd be able to switch amp channels and 8 effects simultaneously.

  • @rjmmusic but the amp gizmo or mini amp gizmo wouldnt enable you to do what i was suggesting?

  • @sidge428 The Amp Gizmo (and Mini) will control amp channels, but do not switch audio. If you need to switch non-MIDI pedals, the RG-16 (or Effect Gizmo or Mini Effect Gizmo) is what you need.

  • could you do the same thing with a Pod XT pro (rackmount) and the Line 6 FBV floorboard?

  • @sidge428 Yes, definitely. It'll work the same way.

  • @rjmmusic ahh, excellent! would you connect the Amp Gizmo in the same way as the Mini Amp Gizmo? i assuming so...

    Thanks

  • @sidge428 Yes, exactly the same connections and setup.

  • @rjmmusic excellent, thanks very much :D
