  • who recites this

  • sounds like my USTAD!!! huhu.. Ustad Hanzala bin Omar...

  • why he reads every last word of ayat without tashkil but with sukun?

  • @thekakimzhan

Short vowels at the end of sentences/statements/ayat in Arabic are elided. That is, they are not pronounced. The same goes for tanween.

  • Good less you

  • who recites this?

  • at 0:38 why is the daal in making the th sound? i thought it was Sirata alladeena

  • @hotboysumer

read the arabic, its not a daal its a zaal

    صِرَاطَ الَّذِينَ with a ذ not a د :)

  • lol

  • being islam is the best

  • the best surah, I love it.

  • LAM b urn-earn His anger. He angry at you all ways. He ISAA' 'ISAA' nearest to ALLLAAH Muhammad Ar-e-Rasoolulah.

  • That's Gai Eaton who reads the translation.

  • Please contact me, who sings this sura? Thats a beautifull recitation, a great voice i think. What is the name of the man who sings it???

  • Thanks for the video. I learned it en 40 minuts, in the begining it was a little bit difficult. but in the end i could remember it all. Does anybody know whats the difference between Sura and a Dua is?

  • thank you for this video. It is helping me to recite. JAK

  • allah had to express this prayer to himself because he doesn't know what is at the end of the path since he has only one face but created time with three opposite directions past present and future where you can see only one at a time therefore this introduction is the mirror where he sees himself his only face but the past behind him still looking forward to the future all paths leading to the one goal of the self or the serpent biting its tail.

  • @sabilillah Allah SWT exists OUTSIDE of time and space. He created them, but He is not a part of them. He has full knowledge of the past, present and future.

He Knows what lies before them, and what lies after them..... Quran 2:255.

Let go of whatever pre-conceived notions you have and accept that Allah is the One and only All Powerful, All Knowing Being. Peace.

  • @ReadSurahsnDuas Alhamdulilah!! i agree fully

  • @sabilillah what?

  • Would Allah be upset with me if I were to recite the Al- fatihah in English intead of arabic while praying salaat? I will Try to remember the Arabic version, but It's a bit difficult.

  • @yinyanghero14 It is better if u recite it in arabic. I just googled ur question bcoz I myself was curious. I tink its a must to read it in arabic.

  • @yinyanghero14 The Qur'an let's us know that it is our Niyyat (intention) that is most important. I'm sure it's best to learn the Arabic, but if you are making some effort, even if at first you must say it in your own language, why would Allah be "mad"? Or anyone else for that matter, especially if they are not making effort to help you learn it. Just think about it, what does your Heart tell you?

  • who disliked this???

  • All those noobs who hate this l dont know whats going to happen but i dont know

  • thank you for this video..i too need to know this before i can convert..i find this video easier to follow coz it clearly enunciated with the eng translation..i now only have the final verse to memorise for the al fatiha :)

  • best bacaan dia, malah naratornya juga mengunakan bahasa yang jelas untuk di dengar.

  • So beautiful!!! :)

  • Such a beautiful prayer!

Even in English it is wondrous to recite. Much like the psalms in the Torah or The Lord's Prayer from Jesus Himself.

  • I think its "most Gracious, Most merciful" not " the merciful, the most kind"

    And allah knows best

  • What a pretty song :D

  • alah akbar

  • @TheSkeira Al Hamdu Lillah may Allah bless you! :)

  • Try this video title:

    Quran:Al-fatihah سورة الفاتحة

  • Great words Im a new muslim wondering what does God say about reppetion type prayers. When I was a christian the Gospel said repetive prayers was not what God wants. If anyone knows where it says in the Quran this is the way to pray please tell me.

  • @Madjudeen Selaam aleykum and welcome to Islam! The response to this is rather long so I have sent you a PM.

  • @ReadSurahsnDuas As-salamu alaykum, could you also explain that to me, please? I'm really interested.

  • @Alex7BR Hi Alex, I assume you're talking about the repetition in prayers? If that's the case then I'll just send you a p.m.

But before I do that in case anybody is reading, then let me point out something: The prayers that we SAY are not repetitious. There are certain required elements that must be said, but we are not "babbling incoherently" - every word has a meaning and it is wise to learn that meaning.

  • beautiful mashallah

  • nice video, u shud really watch this even if you think you know al-fatiha, most people are ignorant abt what they know...

Oh umm by the way, i think the translation isn't so good for instance we don't say alraheemi and prenounce the i, so it shud say alraheem.

  • Yes that's a good point, but I am following the universal transliteration, which is important because even in the ARabic those letters exist - and if somebody chooses to make their recitation flow without pauses, in that case, the "i" in Raheemi would be pronounced.

I think it is more important for people to learn the rules of tajweed, in which case they would understand why certain letters are present (in both Arabic and transliteration) and yet in certain conditions are not pronouced.

  • MarshaALLAH

  • I have to learn it, because I want to convert to Islam, but it isn't very easy to learn that, but I think Allah will help me.

  • You dont Need to learn it to become Muslim, you can learn it later on,you should convert first bcuz you cant gurantee you will live couple more days, you must say and believe that there's no God but ALLAH and Mohammad (pbuh) is his his messenger. May Allah Guide you

  • Assalamu alaykum Dmhamakzzz,

InshaAllah, if you rely on Allah, He will always be your guide and support. It seems hard at the start but you will be surprised how quickly you will pick it up, inshaAllah and welcome to fold of those who Allah is their shadow and best companion

  • I agree with Lilzaiildo. You don't need to know it when you convert. Most converts work on that after converting, insha'Allah, me included. If you do shahada, leave us a note so we can celebrate with you! Alhamdulillah!

  • @Dmhamakzzz keep trying to get it and inshallah you will get it. this might sound real funny but i turned to Islam a couple of years and I still cant get it. but if you really want to revert then you should even if you dont know this yet. maybe (dont take my word for it) if you revert then you will get down quicker. the best of wishes for you.

  • @Dmhamakzzz i have to learn this too but its a bit umm... hard

  • @Dmhamakzzz ya will allah will help insha allah

  • @Dmhamakzzz I want to convert too, but it is very difficult to learn and in Greece I don't have anybody to advise me. So I am trying alone...

  • @Hanumeli and Dmhamakzzz - May Allah SWT bless you both and help you both. Keep watching the videos inshAllah hearing it often and reading it at the same time will help you to learn and understand! @Hanumeli I truly hope that you find a brother or sister who can help you because the support of the community is so important! May Allah SWT help you!!!

  • @Hanumeli may Allah help you inshaAllah :)

  • @Dmhamakzzz keep trying and keep faith, it should be east after a while

    - try spliting it up into ayahs, and then memorising them..

  • @Dmhamakzzz May Allah bless you for your efforts brother.

  • @Dmhamakzzz there is this facebook app. that guides you through the entire quran and its beneficial!! May Allah guide you

  • @Dmhamakzzz Alhamdulillah :-)

  • @Dmhamakzzz Alhamdulillah :-)

  • @Dmhamakzzz allah swt will help u.. insyaallah...

  • mashallah thank you for this post

  • I sent this to my mom

  • Asalaam leikum!

    May Allah reward you!

  • hamndool lila

  • i love the sound of the guy that reads the English part!

  • yes this is the opening the Holy Quran. but it was not the first surah revealed to Muhammad (pbuh). the words words were iqra (read)

  • @member351 Yes, you are right, the first ayats revealed was iqra, but the first full surah revealed was al fatiha.

  • You cannot add Amien, sallaat is void if you do so. Cause you cannot add something to a verse of the Quran. Its God's word, we cannot add something to it.

  • i am learing arabic as my dad is arabic and dis is the first thing he told me to learn ive learnt it thnxz to the vid thank you very much!!!!! =D xx

  • Asalam leikum would someone be kind enough to tell me who the Quari is?

  • do u maen qoran ?

  • Qurai means recitor in arabic, but maybe i spelled it wrong i want to know who the recitor is. I know this is chapter 1 .

  • the recitor is Sheikh Husary, I have him on my ipod, very good recitor

  • this is someone who does the call to prayer, and this word is also used for someone whom recites the Quran.

  • YEs companion but i want to know what is the name of the man reciting?

I like his voice and i would like to look up more of his recitation.

Jazzak Allah khair for your effort!!

  • marshalah

  • its mashallah not maRshallah ;)

  • It sounds very beautiful although I do not speak Arabic. Post more videos like it. Thanks

  • I try to learn Arabic. I can't understand the difference between the recitation and the arabic translation (blue). Example: He is reading "Elhamdulillahi rabbil alemin" but writing is " Alhamdu lillahi rabbi alAAlamee(ii)na". I've learned that arabic has 6 vocals a,u,i and the long a,u,i. But i heard sometimes the e-vocal (Elhamdulillah - Alhamdulilah, Meliki - Maliki ... ). Why is that so? What is correct?

  • The words are the literal arabic transliteration. Just because they are written in english letters doesn't mean they are pronounced exactly like an english speaker would read it. Usually, when a word ends in a vowel and the next word begins with al-, or another vowel, the first syllable or al- is connected to the word that comes before it. Also, if there is not a word after a word that ends in a vowel, the vowel is not pronounced, kind of like how english drops -g's Hope that helps a little.

  • Also, arabic is not a completely standardized language, and there are many dialects, so all of what you listed is a correct pronunciation/transliteration depending on the dialect you are speaking. If you say the words you listed there, even in english they don't sound different from each other, its just a different way of trying to translate it in your case, but in other cases dialects of arabic can be very different from each other.

  • yes it is a difference in spoken and written Arabic.

  • its maen moving later

  • Ok, I know this is a very old post, but the double capital As (alAAlamee) represent the Arabic letter 'ayn. Some people represent that with just an apostrophe ('), but the source I use for the transliteration uses the AAs.

Also, there are specific rules for reciting Quran which requires that vowels or other letters be prolongued. That is represented in the transliteration by the multiple letters. It's hard to hear if you're not used to it, but it actually is there in the recitation.

  • Al HamduLillah.....my arabic is mess up i believe i can use this for me and my family!!!!

  • i think you forgot allah

  • :( It is best to speak to our brothers and sisters in kindness dear bro/sis.

I don't believe it is up to us to judge if somebody forgot or not, and as far as I can tell, the sister didn't forget anything - she wrote Al Hamdu LILLAH - All praise is due to Allah... By His mercy she can use this to teach her family (i.e. children)... Please try to think nicely about other people. Jazak Allah Khair.

Unless you arent a Muslim and you are trying to annoy people? If so may Allah guide you

  • Salam 3likoum

You are right, its not up to us to juge . Iam sorry for that.

  • thanks for posting the video

  • I love this recitation as well.

  • PLEASE READ THIS NOTICE REGARDING THE ARABIC PORTION OF THE VIDEOS!

*** The program that I am using to make these videos presents SHADDA-KASRAH with the KASRAH on TOP of the letter (not on the bottom as you would expect) - the Kasrah does lie on the BOTTOM OF THE SHADDA - so if you see a SHADDA, and the line is on top, then it is SHADDA-FAT'HAH بَّ but if you see a SHADDA AND THE LINE IS ON THE BOTTOM OF THE SHADDA, THEN WHAT YOU ARE READING IS A SHADDA-KASRAH لِّ .
