i also think that to raise a child and tell them what they should believe in is morally wrong. There is no bigger (or smaller when you talk about particle physics etc) question to the human race as 'why are we here and how did we get here'. i was raised as a christian, and remember going to church and sunday school. But as i grew up i got more interested in science. I think that nearly all people who have been raised into a religion these days have a niggling in the backs of their minds that they could have been misled or conned, but dont want to admit it. So they carry on with blind faith without looking at the facts and figures. My two kids havent been raised with any persuasion, its up to them to make a decision.

i also think that to raise a child and tell them what they should believe in is morally wrong. There is no bigger (or smaller when you talk about particle physics etc) question to the human race as 'why are we here and how did we get here'. i was raised as a christian, and remember going to church and sunday school. But as i grew up i got more interested in science. I think that nearly all people who have been raised into a religion these days have a niggling in the backs of their minds that they could have been misled or conned, but dont want to admit it. So they carry on with blind faith without looking at the facts and figures. My two kids havent been raised with any persuasion, its up to them to make a decision.

God needed a driver, so he engineered a horrific crash endangering the lives of hundreds of people? He's God, couldn't he just transport Dale Earnhardt to Heaven with magic rather than blow him up in a fiery explosion?

Funny stuff. God is real and he is waiting whenever you guys are willing to humble yourself and stay out of sin. After that ask for the holy spirit. He does not want anyone to burn forever.
