  • Well hes gonna get a fair trial having already been labelled and convicted in the media as the 'merchant of death'.

  • I'm curious, why does US does the prosecuting? not UN or some other international organization. Is it because they claim that he sold weapons to people that shot at americans? did't cia provide weapons to osama and other islamists in Afghanistan to fight russians?

By same logic russia should investigate and prosecute those involved.

  • 1:50 It's not angolia, it's ANGOLA.

    Colombian FARC = terrorists

Lybian armed group with no name, politicla agenda, background or revolutionary sovereignty = rebels

  • @Anfmethodjor

No, they're not rebels, the Libyans are terrorists, despite what the media tells you. They do have a name, they are the Libyan Islamic Fighting Group(L.I.F.G.), and they rape and murder people. They are just as bad as Gaddafi, and should they ever get in power will massacre Gaddafi's tribe.

  • 15 years - minor for this crime.

  • America sold weapons to its own enemies, who guess what are terrorists. So this is some shit

  • it is your mistake USA. You stole a russian citisen. Answer will be soon.

  • 01:53

    "Angolia"... is not a country.

  • By the way he is still inocent untill proven guilty. No one is safe from Justice!!! Not even Americans. We charge whoever sells WMD's like automatic weapons and ground to air missiles and anti personel mines. Thank god he hasnt been convicted of selling uranium or poison gass. P.S please note that i use the word charged witch means he still could be inocent but he also could be guilty. people act like America has already locked him away for life. In American eyes he is Inocent!

  • держись Витёк !!!!

    Россия и Германия с тобой.

  • Of course american fucks.... they bouught weapons from him and now they want to be the saints and jail him... america a country of fuck heads

  • @intersimone333 although i do not agree with your use of adjectives against me i can not deny the fact that US has used this man and others like him in arms trafficking. free lance traffickers can do these sorts of things that other countries need or want them to do. arms trade is a multi-billion dollar industry and countries such as US, china, russia, and eastern european states getting rid of old weapons will jump on the band wagon.

  • 3:05 Another NWO success story I see, go on give yourself's a pat on the back you fuckin leeches...

  • Viva La FARC!

  • how could a movie be based on somthing, which the producers dident know anything about. Its not the movie which is based on him, but the reason for arresting him, is based on the movie.

  • Давайте тормошите этого питерского чкиста путина

  • does that mean he is going to get beheaded :O I call the head for soccer

  • Sure anyone competing with CIA networks is a terrorist. Undersell them and drain the cash cow.

  • So America doesn't sell weapons and kill people? This is total lunacy!! Wake Up!

  • Well although Mr. Bout is apprehended, a lot of his allies remain. The harsh reality is that the major players in international arms trade are U.S.A, Russia, France, China and The United Kingdom and apparently the are also the members of the U.N Security Council.

  • Thai army is WORSE than Bout, WAKE UP.

  • He's just a man used for the dirty " supplies "

  • You know whats funny? Why aren't CIA officials jailed? They supply weapons to the same "terrorist" groups Bout does. CIA sponsored Al-Queda and gave them US weapons basically for free... So hypocritical and pathetic.

  • Comment removed

  • @BoomeR911104

I understand how you feel brother. Well Mr.Bout was competition to the C.I.A bastards, so they took him out. The harsh reality is that the major players in the global Arms Trade are U.S.A, Russia, China, France and The United Kingdom, apparently they are also the members of the U.N Security Council. The rest is as clear as Vodka.

  • why was he arrested in thai

  • "i dont get it.....where was he getting all those weapons? In the movie lord of war i was wondering about that....WHERE does he get all those thousand of guns?"

It is not that hard to find out. His guns was stolen or "bought" in Russia. He catch the moment when Soviet Union transform into Russia and little wars end. Russians just start to destroying guns, but when Bout shows up, they want to make money on that guns, and they sell it to him...

  • i dont get it.....where was he getting all those weapons? In the movie lord of war i was wondering about that....WHERE does he get all those thousand of guns?

  • he buys them in east Europe, principally Bulgaria, Moldova, Ukraine and flighs it himself to Liberia and Angola.

  • This guy is yuri orlov

  • Comment removed

  • do you really hope that? it won't be too long before it is going to be use against american soldiers, you know that right?

    you dumbass.

  • He will be released, .. KGB man he is...

    hands of.. USA ..

  • don't talk bullshit. This is a freelancer. US sold weapons to Afghans in Soviet-Afghan war, and fights its onw weapons. Beside that US staged 9/11 so they can invade half of the world.

  • I can't understand it. Bout never commited a crime in the US, nor was he a US citizen. So, why does a country, where guns are sold freely, where chidlren come to schools and shoot each other want him?

I believe he crossed someone's plans or was the main competitor of the US in selling arms and that's why the want him.

  • He sold weapons to America's enemies.

  • @ParamoreWorshipper

lol so what, he sold to americans too

  • @idontspeakblackanese

Yeah, but he's not being charged with that... he seems particularly confident and pleased about his extradition to the U.S. because he thinks he'll be aquited. That may well be true.

  • @ParamoreWorshipper Yeah, he also sold weapons to the U.S. government and the British government. So what's your point?

  • @ParamoreWorshipper America likes rebels and hates terrorists ;)

  • @ParamoreWorshipper he sold weapons TO America.

  • Mighty Magnus is 100% correct about the Prescott Bush Family, and about Bout being GRU not KGB. Those connections allegedly are what got him his first antonovs(carrier planes). As for Prescott Bush the company he ran under the Thyssen family made cash loans to the Nazi's before America was involved in WW2. By 1933 they were in charge of all Nazi Germanys exports to the US. The bank that was seized in 1942 was owned by Prescott Bush, E. Roland Harriman, and three members of the Nazi Party.

  • yeah victor bout rocks

  • I wont to take over for this guy. I would sell guns. sonds like a good business.

  • I would love to have this guys job. fuck the people that wont to bye them as long as I am getting the flow. population control.

  • Wanna buy of him

  • 5 Million dollars is a deal! He even delivers them for that price, better then the gun shops around here.

  • The people writing things like "one man's terrorist is another man's freedom fighter" are full of shit.

Firstly, this man is not a fighter but a seller of arms, so the moral delima is far more complex than that. Secondly, this man would go to Africa, and sell weapons to BOTH SIDES of the conflict. So both to the govt AND to the "freedom fighters", so in essence he created his own demand for his product. Clever, huh? He didn't care who or how many died. Cared only about money.

  • sounds like a good business plan to me. Its a nich market and he has cornered it. I bet his business teachers are very prod of him and how well they tought him.

  • ahaha lord of war i love that movie

  • yeha me too. awesome plot

  • It is just mass media in the USA more professional than in Russia. They cover the news from their point of view and making Russia be at fault always. For some reason, Putin does not understand one point, in the USA all journalist depend on the Owner's opinion, freedom is a bogus sh...t for an average hamburger eaters.

  • It's not that he sold weapons, but who he sold them to.

  • Wyattkalden...: Can you be that naive? Prescott Bush was getting so flippin' rich from providing Hitler with Zyklon-B Gas (to kill Jews and others), Steel, and gasoline that the U.S. had to draft the "Trading with the Enemies Act" to stop him! This guy is why the Bush Family are billionaires. So your argument is flimsy.

  • Sorry, I didn't make myself clear. I know the U.S. backs terrorists and lives off of war profits. I don't support the U.S. government at all. This man's only crime was to do business with people the U.S. are not backing at the moment.

  • fuck man is so right U.S is the biggest terrorist of them all

  • wow, man! 100 kudos 2 u !

this is 1st time ever I see anyone even mentions this stuff here on youtube.

  • the bush family is not worth billions.

how did the bush family have anything to do with hitler? I have never hurd that.

  • US sold about half of the total arms sales of the world every year. In 2005, US sold $8.1 Billion arms or 46% of the total arms sales of the world, Russian 15%, UK 13%, China 2%. US has been the top seller of arms to areas where the likelihood of armed conflict remains highest and the countries that US considered "undemocratic". US sold arms to 18 of the 25 countries involved in an ongoing war, and 13 of the 25 were defined as undemocratic by the US State Department's annual Human Rights Report.

  • UN's Disarmament and International Security Committee wanted to draw up uniform standards that block arms sales considered destabilizing, ongoing conflicts, undermine democratic or contribute to human rights abuses, US was the only country out of 166 to reject a UN panel voted to study a new treaty to regulate the sale of conventional arms on Oct 26, 2005. US has no intention to control such lucrative arm sales. More information, Google "US Arms Sales"

  • US sells arms to the both sides of the potential armed conflicts to gain the maximum benefits from both sides. India and Pakistan have fought three wars in the most recent history. US had agreement to sell F-16s to Pakistan in 2005 and is considering to sell F-16s to India, too. Wade Bouse, Research Director at the Arms Control Association, said "We are creating our own market by selling to both sides of regional conflicts". More information, Google "US Arms Sales"

  • "The US would be significantly affected if there was an arms treaty that took into account human rights abuses and conflict areas," William Hartung, Director of the Arms Trade Resource Center at the World Policy Institute in New York.

More information, Google "US Arms Sales", "US is top purveyor weapons sales list" reported by The Boston Globe, November 13, 2006, and "United States Rides Weapons Bonanza Wave" published by Foreign Policy in Focus, November 16, 2006.

  • It is the US do supply and produced weapon all over the world. Their economy thrives on war.

  • That's absolutely correct! US is the biggest "Merchant of Death"!

  • looks like someone gonna lose a war today

  • Kill Him...Kill the war lord... he is terrorist.

  • Why not to put the guy on the fair trial first?

  • This fuck and George bush should be tried and then publicly hanged for crimes against humanity, but I am sure Vicktor will not serve anytime and Bush will retire happily ever after at his ranch in Texas.

  • One mans terrorist is another mans freedom fighter

  • WAR LORD

  • 15 years?! thats it??? seriously i'd kill this mother fucker...

  • I honestly don't think Victor is going to face justice. He was a former KGB agent and probebly has alot of connections that would get him out and right back into business. Honestly when you deal with people like this you gotta kill them on the spot. Take Pablo Escobar for example when he was arrested he went to a palace and called it "Prison" and when he escaped they killed him and the problem was over. Thats what they need to do with this guy.

  • Former KGB agent ? HA-HA-HA

  • Acualy he was

  • your a dumbass he was kgb

  • Sorry to be a wisenheimer, but Viktor Bout was GRU major, working in both Angola and Mozambique during the cold war (tip: check out the Mozambique flag).

Prescott Bush, the grandfather to George Bush, did some business with the Nazis. His company's assets were seized in 1942 under the "Trading with the Enemy Act".

  • What is GRU major?

and so did any one that wonted to do business in germany at the time of ww2. dose not make the nazies just business man. I mean if there is somthing wrong with byeing or selling to people that are rasist then ford auto would be fucked.

  • GRU was Sovjet (now Russias) Main Intelligence Directorate.

I don't know much about Prescott Bush, I didn't accuse him of being a Nazi only explaining why the accusation is being done.

The thing that made this controversial is that Prescott Bush was a banker and it involved Nazi money.

  • LORD OF WAR

  • starter of all the wars even terrorists in turkey he supports gun to them

  • Well the kurds won't be geting any guns anymore

  • Mar 06, 2008 19:05 EST

BOGOTA (Reuters) - Thousands of Colombians marched on Thursday against right-wing militias that carried out massacres as part of a dirty war against Marxist rebels, highlighting sharp divisions in the country as it faces a regional diplomatic crisis.

  • Viktor Bout - He's not only going to be released, he's going to be paid to leave! :))

  • hahaha ! 100 kudos 2 u, dude !

seems like u've been paying attention while watching that movie ! ; )

it's true. that's why he appears to remain so calm and expressionless. he knows that within normal frame of prosecution he'll not be tried. coz there are too many unwanted and unpleasant things he can voice aloud.

otherwise why would Bush and Condi have dismissed his case previously? he's been contractor of Pentagon and considered one of the best.

  • It's Al-Qaeda you dumb shits. If you're going to admonish someone for mispelling, make sure you get it right.

  • It's transliteration, you really cannot chastise someone's spelling when the original looks like this: القاعدة‎

  • learn to spell RockAlbania it's Al Queda oh and fuk Albania Canada all the way wooo and no offence to anywhere else in America it's just Albania I don't like the rest of America awesome

  • learn to spell RockAlbania it's Al Queda oh and fuk Albania Canada all the way wooo and no offence to anywhere else in America it's just Albania I don't like the rest of America awesome

  • new york times Published: March 7, 2008 WASHINGTON — A Russian businessman regarded by the United States as one of the world's most notorious arms dealers was arrested in Thailand on Thursday as part of an American-led sting operation. The businessman, Viktor Bout, 41, is suspected of supplying weapons to the Taliban and Al Qaed

  • This guy should be sent to courts in Angola, Rwanda, Uganda, Congo, Liberia, and Sudan first, before Colombia, prior to being extradited to US if he has any years left :(

Very sad example of human life. True trash.

Yes, KGB/GRU and CIA have so much blood on their hands it time for seeking mutual atonement and forgiveness from world. This action can only help cease and intercept more such dealings of death in future.

Bravo Thai police!! Hope for humanity..

  • The only terrorists I'm familiar with call them self Republicans

  • I am part American Indian & yes flipflop you are correct that the term terrorist is a matter of perspective.

  • terrorist is another word for revolutionary, the british didnt call americans terrorists when they fought for the land stolen by the british from the indians. grr
