Actually I think my words offended you too much to have a conversation with. I can cool my words if it will help but that is how I see it. However, the state will kick down your doors and put you in a state cage if you do not pay into it and shoot you if you resist.
The military is a monopolistic institution on "defense" funded by theft and violence and it is used as a tool to rig markets and engage in theft worldwide for those in power as they plunder.
Yes the monopoly on "defense" that the state has allows it to grow and take over other services like healthcare because it has the guns and there are no other organizations to turn too. This monopoly attracts people who want a piece of the plunder that the state graps. It creates a corrupt authoritarian, welfare and warfare system.
The military only gives healthcare to its service men and a small package after a individuals service is done. there is no monopoly. should the military not provide any services or incentives? should they disregard vets?
I am talking about the state being able to seize other industries like health care for all of those within it once it has the monopoly on "defense", not vets care just specifically. Helping the veterans is not what I am mainly going against. I am against the robbery that the state engages in on a mass scale to fund itself and its imperial wars overseas to control others as it robs and controls us.
The military is the biggest socialized institution in the US, and the healthcare is definitely socialized... I find it humorous and ironic when the conservatives I work with in the military bash socialism over and over again, even though they are living it and not complaining.

As far as the companies taking off I think we have to look at all the different regulations that are in place that discourage companies from either locating or staying here. The problem is that enough people are going to drop their private insurance to go with the "free" government option; and those private insurance companies will go bankrupt. A "public option" is a way to sabotage the free market with a subsidized "option". The "public option" destroys competition. The government will tax private companies to subsidize their competition -- completely unjust.
The government has a monopoly on force, a monopoly on taxing powers, a monopoly on printing money, a monopoly on courts and police. Government must never be allowed to interfere with competition. It must be restrained to settling disputes, not entering the competition itself.

There are no competing organizations you can turn to when you disagree with the state. That is what the US military and intell does. Human behavior dictates everything, no matter what kind of economic system is in place. That's what i believed for a long time, but I was confronted with teh fact that Capitalism is the only sustainable system. So from a religious standpoint where I see all humans as evil, sure Capitalism is terrible. But from a more pragmatic viewpoint I gotta go with it.
