  • i went to go and see this last night at the ROH london... goot the booking wrong , turns out wasnt supposed to see it untill the 18th of january, lol oops silly me ! this looks so wikkid !

  • Just amazing!!

  • Very nice! I like Nureyev's ParisOperaBallet version alot more however- the lighting here is so dark. Does anybody else here find the Sleeping Beauty score a matchless perfection? The prologue is exquisite; also Rose Adage + Aurora's solo. And best of all; the Pas d'action in ActII. Sublime.

  • @Mash494 I do! The best I've ever seen and the music upon the faires entrance is beautiful, those high octave string cords are incredible, music and dance in its purest form.

  • i love this peformance of this ballet. i have it one video somewhere and really want to watch it again. its so beautiful!!

  • nn si sente quasi niente

  • the tutus look like butterflies not fairies... glad they've gotten rid of them!

  • no more tutus in all ballets?

  • Og gosh, I have this on VHS from when they showed it on the BBC. Viviana Durante is Aurora. I studied ballet from the age of 6 to the age of 20.

  • London Bridge is falling down falling down falling down

Poi s'ascose nel foco che gli affina

Quando fiam uti chelidon—O swallow swallow

Why then Ile fit you. Hieronymo's mad againe.

Datta. Dayadhvam. Damyata. Shantih Shantih Shantih

  • oh i think the costumes look very natural and earthy if u no wat i mean..... and the gowns look very true to its setting and time..... i think b/c they are elaborate, it make it look more fairytale-ish

  • eww to the tutus.

  • Loved this stage design, but dance critics didn't, and now they've scrapped it for a new one...

  • Really impressive stage design! Have never seen the stage for the Christening like this!

  • pretty sure this is the Royal Ballet - if not its def. the Royal Ballets Scenery from when they premiered Sleeping Princess in Washington in the 90's.

  • Thanks so much for posting this! This is a bit random, but do you know which dnace comes after Aurora's variation in the first act? Thanks!

  • Heya, I love this version of Sleeping Beauty but I cant find the company who did it! Can you help?

    Thank you for posting this!

  • It's the Royal Ballet in 1994, with Viviana Durante and Zoltan Solymosi.
