  • She whips her hair back and forth!

  • Not only my favourite Bob Fosse number, this is my favourite dance number of all time!

  • Does anyone know who that blonde dancer is in the tuxedo? I have a new Broadway crush, you guys!

  • What is the name of this song? Love it!

  • @hofflover5 Rich Man's Frug. Originally from Sweet Charity

  • I'm not a dancer but a spectator and I believe the dancing would be better appreciated against a light cyclorama as in the film. Who approved black costumes against a black backdrop?? Basic theatre/theater production says that's a no-no.

  • I love this, which one of the dancers is doing the main female part???

  • She looks like the original!!!

  • Hi, Am Nico, Am, from Chile, I like so much this style of dancing, the style of Bob Fosse!!

  • Fosse is a fuckin' genius

  • Love how my end of year showcase is 90% Fosse

  • some of those girls look like guys to me.

  • Magnífico

  • I love how they sstart all "I couldn't car less", go to "Alright, this is good music", to "LET'S BUST A MOVE", and right back to "Nah, still couldn't care less."

  • i personally prefer the orchestra's rendition in the west end and broadway productions of sweet charity. they seem much more dynamic, contrasting with the aloof dancing of the company.

  • im doing this dance for an assessment at school :) soooooo much fun! best dance ever! we are gonna be the best act in showcase... hahaha

  • This completely lacks the energy and FEELING that the original does. A poor imitation.

  • @quiteuselesss This is done live on stage, not taped or filmed a shot at a time, so it will have a different dynamic also fosse did not personally work with these people in this production

  • Awwww.. the camera totally missed that back flip at the end of The Heavyweight... that sucks....

  • Oh my God it looks like i said i was the lead girl like 4 times but i was just replying to people saying stuff about being in this. i'm not really arrogant i promise i'm so sorry for posting that so much......:/

  • I was the lead dancer in this!!!!! It is just so great and it really helps with technique and it was just one of the best dancing experiences ever.

  • Is that Christina Applegate???

  • hullaballoo wannabes

  • This production has the most fantastic dancers, musicians and director imaginable. I wonder why it doesn't electrify, though?

  • at 5:22 that girl whipping her hair around so fast

  • I got to be that girl!!!!! It was very, very, fast.

  • Ah! Got cast to be in this in our school musical. You have no idea how exciting that is. (:

Ahh. This choreography is so intense with all its little intricacies.

  • Oh my God were you the lead girl? I was, in a production in New York City.

  • I think its terrible. I think they are incredible perfomers, beautiful and wonderful dancers. But the frugue is meant to be a rich person's, bored, attrition to life...it is supposed to be slinky, and sexy, but also devoid of the energy present here....and for good artistic reason. Watch the film and note the difference.

  • @dancer4dance

Agreed. The energy is so incredibly lacking compared to the original, especially during the Heavyweight which was my favorite in the original, here, it looks butchered.

  • @dash1dash2 You do realize that the whole point of this dance was how rich people are so "cool" that they dance with as little movement and emotion as possible, right?

  • Comment removed

  • watch their feet 1:78-1:58

    that is detail

there are three parts to this number

rich man's frug-the heavy wieght-not sure on the last part

  • @blondbear2 3 parts are: The Aloof, The Heavyweight, and the Big Finish.

  • watch their feet 1:78-1:58

    that is detail

  • have this on vhs! so happy right now! beyonce can't touch this!

  • Waw!!!!!

  • i was i nthe show twice and never selected to be in frug...everytime i watch it i get so jelous of their dance talent!!!

  • Very good. Fosse is really hard on your body.

  • Favorite dance sequence ever. Totally got me into fashion and makeup after I saw this on sweet charity when I was 12

  • I soooooooooooo adore these set pieces. Soooo disappointing when it gets changed by some groups. Bob Fosse coreography should NEVER be mucked about with. IT IS ALREADY PERFECT.

  • De la magie à l'état pur, merci à ces fabuleux danseurs, un bel hommage à Monsieur Bob Fosse. Bruno

  • Very Fosse I love it!

  • I ADORE THIS! LIKE NO OTHER! We r doing this for our musical!

  • LOVE IT

  • YEEEEEEESSSSSSSSSSS!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • The music on this seems like the Disney version compared to the original (movie) soundtrack. Fosse-model robots dancing and playing horns...

  • Is it just my imagination or was a good chunk of the second movement of this dance copied almost directly in the dance scene near the end of "She's All That"?

  • If it was, then you've got it the other way around. She's All That copied/homaged Fosse. This number predates SAT by a few decades. If you've ever seen Sweet Charity (1969), the number in the film is just about the exact thing you see here. Then again, it's hard not to notice Fosse's influence in popular art. He's definitely left a lasting imprint on the business.

  • @izzyjmusic Bob fosse's controlled, tongue-in-cheek outrageousness is timeless.

  • @izzyjmusic

Yes Fosse's influnce: it's there in the video for Emma Bunton's "Maybe"

  • We did a dance like this (fosse style) and it was ausomex

  • I love fosse!

  • es maravillosaaaaaaa

  • Oh Ken Alan, I love you so!

  • favorite Fosse number EVER! Agh...I want to be in this soooo bad!

  • ME TOO!

  • @dancinfool25 I wanted to be in this number so badly too...and I ended up being cast as Oscar...the damn lead so I wasn't in it. What fun.

  • Comment removed

  • I was very luck and was able to be the lead dancer in this number in a large production.

  • @dancinfool25 I've been in it. It's soooo much fun!

  • Is this Dana Moore doing the lead?

  • we did this 4 our recital, it was fun. =]

  • my friend did a dance to this two years ago in our recital and it was great!

  • (L) wuau!!!

  • Ah, love it! I know Fosse is all about the choreography, which I love, but I really like the music in this number, too.

  • Ooooh yes. The music is great too. It's Cy Colman. He has a great jazzy sound. Listen to On the 20th Century and City of Angels. He composed those two musicals too.

  • love both of them! especialy love the "prologue" from "city of Angels". such an energetic piece, that i had to stop playing it in the car. It made me speed (lol).

  • lmao. its called fosse. ahah, its amazing. its subpossed to be like thatt

  • this is great!!!!!!!!!!!!!
