  • I accidently read this book while I was in custody at police station (they didn't have anything else :S) now I just finished watching the movie .. And all I can think about is why the fuck would they leave thees two scenes from the movie, I mean thees scenes goes so well with the book compared to the other scenes they kept in the movie.

  • @roossi you know I said the same thing! I read the book as well, and couldn't understand it

  • The same dialogue is used in the film, but this scene is tremendously effective. Even moreso than what's in the film. Amazing. bOTH PERFORMERS ARE terrific AND THIS SCENE IS BREATHTAKING.

  • If they would have kept this scene, Kathleen Turner would have been nominated for an Oscar. No doubt

  • When you say "lifted scenes" do you mean deleted? Because I don't remember them.

I love this movie, too. William Hurt is ridiculous. The scene where he has to go identify his son's body is UNBELIEVABLE the way he handles it. One of the greatest acting performances ever, I think.

  • Yes..Lifted scenes are scenes that did not make the cut..usually, this has too do with the movie being too long.

  • This is a really amazing movie. It makes me smile and tear up. And it's quirky.

  • Wow... this looks like a great movie. Very moving scene! Thankyou for posting :)

  • your welcome..it is a really great movie

  • It is one of my fav. movies. I like it very much!
