You can get the tuning from the final harmonic she plays. It's a bit of weird one. It sounds like she's also using high gauge phosphor bronze strings, which is making some of the chords up the fret board diffiult to play. Very cool stuff though, love the fingerpicking sections.
ahh i dont think people should be comparing the tallents of kaki and kelli. theyre both extremely tallented guitarists. it comes down to weather or not you like their music. i dont like the way people refer to musicians as not being as tallented as someone else. because even people who arnt brilliant technicians can make breathtaking music

I agree her melodic sense is "better" than kaki's. I think she is a better composer. Kaki might be a better technician, though I get the impression Kelli holds back alot, which is sign of artistic mastery.
I have to agree, nails this long can't give you any control...you can hear it when she plays softly: its or softly(to softly) or loud strumming. But woman always had long nails, so who are we to judge? She sure can play this girl!!

I can kinda see where you're coming from, but kelli's athleticism is fantastic, and this song is in fact, not on her CD. Everything on Nobody Knows You're Foreign is stunningly beautiful and I've listened to it many many times.
shes an experimental guitarist, she doesnt need to be articulate, all she needs to do is get the feeling across to her audience, and she has done that very well, particularly in this performance. being an artist isnt always about being accurate, its an art, not a science.
