Earl, the originator, the genius, the man behind the B-A-C-K-B-E-A-T. Do I need say more? He was one helluva musician...and I think he played on every record you have in your collection, anyway until he passed away. Awesome Earl. As a drummer my style was shaped for sure by Mr.Palmer.... "The Anchor" would have been the best name for Earl. He kept everything in place.

What a great tribute to Earl. I knew Earl and worked with him many times in L.A. in the 1970's. He was a great guy and so much fun. RIP, Earl.
