  • "To say that no organization has an accurate reflection on what Jesus taught would be highly inaccurate also."

The Catholic Church itself concedes that its reflection of God is not perfect (See: George Weigal - Witness to Hope, authorized biography of Pope JP2) but holds that it is correct in the important issues. Catholicism would describe my interpretation of salvation history. I also acknowledge it's not empirical. It is faith in informed tradition.

  • @verum1980 I have also read Weigals book, and I do not recall this, please be more specific. Is the Catholic Church perfect? Absolutely not, nor does it claim to be. As the Church is Holy, not every member is (John 6:70). The magisterium, guided and protected from error by the Holy Spirit, gives us certainty in matters of doctrine. This is what separates the Church from the rest, not to mention est by Jesus Christ. The Church proclaims the full gospel, Incomplete Christianity Is Not Enough .

  • @CatholicApologia Understandably, I can't remember the exact page of the paraphrase - I quoted it because I remembered it.

If the Church does not error in matters of doctrine how come we apparently did error? We formally held the Jews responsible for the death of Jesus Christ. In Vatican2, under Pope Benedict XVI, this charge was removed.

  • @verum1980 Simple, because hold the Jews accountable is not Catholic Doctrine. CCC 597 states :

"The historical complexity of Jesus' trial is apparent in the Gospel accounts. The personal sin of the participants (Judas, the Sanhedrin, Pilate) is known to God alone. Hence we cannot lay responsibility for the trial on the Jews in Jerusalem as a whole, despite the outcry of a manipulated crowd and the global reproaches contained in the apostles' calls to conversion after Pentecost. Cont...

  • @CatholicApologia I know that the Church does not hold all Jews responsible now.My point is that we did not always hold this view. The notion of collective Jewish guilt, which bedeviled relations between the two faiths, was disowned by the Roman Catholic church only at the second Vatican council in 1965.I'm ok with this, we were humble enough to concede. This is a historical face. Like all things that are apparently true - they can be explained away. This should not be the function of apologetics

  • @verum1980 You can't control peoples views and opinions.Even Holy father has his own opinion. When it comes to doctrine, this is a totally different matter that the Church has always been consistent with. The point of apologetics is not to explain away, but find an understanding. Vatican II Clarified where the church made her position, until that time, the Church never had an official position. I really appreciate you commenting and replying and taking the time out of your day. God Bless Friend

  • @verum1980 As the Church declared at the Second Vatican Council:

[N]either all Jews indiscriminately at that time, nor Jews today, can be charged with the crimes committed during his Passion. The Jews should not be spoken as rejected or accursed as if this followed from holy Scripture

The Pope's book, he said, not only confirms church teaching refuting the decide charge "but seals it for a new generation of Catholics".

The death and resurrection was all part of God's plan. Salvation for us.

  • Your video has errors and misunderstandings. This is what happens when a person of one religion tries to be objective and tries to explain another religion. It's a good effort but not without an agenda of its own. I would argue that there is no religion on earth today that accurately reflects what Jesus was about or actually taught. All religions have histories with things that they'd like to sweep under the rug or deemphasize.

  • @Neverever325 I think you have made your own misunderstanding if you believe that I have come here with an agenda of my own, even for its own gain. The only Agenda about this video is showing the false teaching of the JW Sect, and providing those facts. If the video has errors, I would be happy to hear and apply those to future videos about the JW Organization. To say that no organization has an accurate reflection on what Jesus taught would be highly inaccurate also.

  • Your video has a few errors: Rutherford's middle initial was F not R.

  • @MrLimeyBob I have found both actually. Seem, Wiki and other sites are using F and R as his middle initial. So an error? maybe.

  • i've heard he was a freemason.

  • @Gemeni3insane Yes, There are many interesting facts that point to Rutherford being a free mason.

  • Nice video man... Unfortunately My father, stepmother and younger siblings have become JW's... I really hope that one day they will see the erroneous and false teaching of that organization...

  • in 1844 Jesus went from the holy place of the tabernacle to the most holy in the tabernacle.. indeed something happen but it was not the coming of Christ yet it was still a very important date. i am a proud seventh day adventist

  • @auju123 Remember, the sacrifice of the Mass is the sacrifice of the Cross, only presented in a different manner. The.aspect of redemption which involved his death is finished, but Christ lives forever to offer, by his very presence in the Mass, his work on the Cross for our sins to the Father in heaven. In no way does this diminish Calvary.... Cont'd....

  • @CatholicApologia Christ IS "always able to save those who approach God through him, since he lives forever to make intercession for them" (Heb. 7:25). What is the basis of this intercession? The sacrifice of the Cross (Heb. 7:27; 9:12; 10:14), which is forever present before God in the heavenly tabernacle because he who was both offered as victim and who offered the sacrifice as priest "appears before God on our behalf" (Heb. 9:24).

And that is the reason I am CATHOLIC! :-)

  • @CatholicApologia Ok respect brother...or um sister? idk we're all God's children :)

  • @auju123 I am a guy lol. Of course its about respect, respecting the truth. No one is out there attacking an individual, but an organization. Big difference. JW's are really nice when they show up at your house. So are Mormons. I love them all, but dislike there organizations for very good reasons. These videos are not an attack people, but misinformation given by the Watchtower. I do this because I care about these people. We are all gods Children, but not all religions lead to heaven. :-)

  • @CatholicApologia i agree brother :)

  • @auju123 I am glad we can find common ground my friend! If you have any questions let me know. Take care, God Bless!

  • Some VERY interesting attempts at pronunciation ... perhaps the most interesting aspect of the video ... In 'Christianity' there is one God, one Saviour, one Holy book, yet THOUSANDS of belief sects ... if Jesus DOES come back, don't you think he's going to be a TAD upset by all this hair-splitting?

  • @ztekkiwi Do you think he would be mad at the fact of all these different sects all claiming to be his Church, though he only established one, and one set of doctrine? Think he might be upset about that?

  • Great job! Keep up the good work and God bless you.

  • great stuff.

  • @joeyp4099 Thank you, God Bless!

  • Alot of people believe that Taze Russell invinted Jehovah's witnesses, but alot of beliefs that russell had are not believed by witnesses today. even though people don't believe in them but 1914 was a dramatic change in the history of the world. the first sign of jesus's return was wars and fears of war. has this person heard of WW1. i love how they say it's not biased but everything negative or small this person points out.

  • @jahjirahcooper Just the facts. Sometimes the facts hurt. You are right, the JW organization doesn't teach what Russel taught much anymore, not very consistent is it? God Bless!

  • @obner0011 Also I have a question, maybe you can help me, is it true JW's believe in a 2nd god? That Jesus is a god but not the Almighty God?

  • @obner0011 Go therefore and make disciples of people of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the holy spirit. Matthew 28:19

  • @obner0011 God replied, "I am who am." Then he added, "This is what you shall tell the Israelites: I AM sent me to you." Ex 3:14

  • nice video, it was very informative.

  • thank you very much!
