this game is just as epic and bad ass as super smash brothers. i knew square enix would do this someday. hopefully, they will keep releasing this as a series, but on home consoles which will be A LOT better, and attract more players. with the ps3, and hell, even the wii, you can do 4 way battles (not hard to do lock ons). and as each version gets released, more characters from ff get to join the fray. here's this for a dream match: zell, tifa, a fighter from ff4 and a fighter from another ff.^_^

Sabin is perhaps the most badass Final Fantasy Martial Artist (with Yang at a close second) in the Final Fantasy series. Even better then the original Black Belt, that's right I just went there! >:D
The only thing I don't like is how some people argue over the whole "Kefka/Sephiroth" thing. I mean there is really no use about fighting over them. They are both very awesome villains and are uniquely evil and heartless. And about Sephiroth or Kefka haters, they can think what they want. To me, they are the greatest of all time.
There are 2 major differences between Kefka and Sephiroth.
Sephiroth has an oedipus complex, Kefka is a nihilist. Other than that their pretty much similar, other than their looks anyway. I mean both are awesome FF villains.
Still I consider Kefka the better villain. I mean he managed to take over the world/ destroy it. That in itself is badass.

well, to be honest my personal favorites are FFT, TA and 12... I just love the world Ivalice and all that comes with it. and I've allways loved the strategy gameplay that comes with the Tactics games. (thus I love games like Fire Emblem, Suikoden Tactics and Ogre Battle etc etc.)
the reason I think FF7 is such an overhyped game and the reason I think it should'nt be praised as much as it is, is the fact (and it is a fact, just look up interviews and such) that it's not a whole game... they had to rush it due to delays and alot of the game was cut off plus the localisation of it suck bigtime (Aeris = Aerith for example) FF8 and the rest just were more well planned and worked through...
Minus Final Fantasy IX...even when I finally played it with an open mind, I think Final Fantasy IX does fall short among most of the Final Fantasy titles...except for Final Fantasy II...that one was just pretty bad to me.
I fell in love with FFIXs storybook like world and the characterdesign... plus the game is a nostalgia craze since in every screen there is at least one thing that's based on the older games, mostly FF1-6

yeah, both of them are in it. the game has the main hero and villains from ff1 to ff10. squall and cloud are in it, to answer your question. jecht and tidus are in it as well. firion and emperor palamecia are in it, too. and firion looks BAD ASS. ^_^

me, too, man. im saving up for it. there is a great way to get a bundle of accessories for the psp, too. gamestop's psp accessory bundle, 30 bucks! comes in a black box. the new psp is a decent price too. at least it's not ridiculous like ps3, though that's a console that i REALLY want to get.

Well the fighting of that game wasn't mucah, it was all button mshing.... but I loved the items of that game...
My orignal copies of SA and SA2 Broke, but I got the remakes for the Gamecube....so the only games I have for my GC that I Still play would be Sonic Shuffle and Power Stone 2.... traded a copy of Armored Core: MOA for it... but that AC can be bought for $12 while Power Stone 2 is $100 I think I got a good deal....
i wouldnt say PowerStone was all button mashing....aside from throwing items, you could also catch them, leaving your opponent empty handed. there was alot more strategy to PowerStone2 under the surface. It was also one of the only games of its kind. Every stage was full 3D, sometimes even carrying you to hidden stages, even running from a rolling boulder while still defending yourself...
though the game was missing a few things here and there (such as blocking,lol), it was undoubtably *one of* the fighting games ever, and in many peoples opinions, had a much better idea behind it that Smash Bros.
i still await the next Power Stone 2 type game to change the way people see fighting games...

Final fantasy 9 was a classic, the remake of Zidane just looks overdone and gay. It doesnt even look like Zidane anymore. And mixing the FF characters into one game is just stupid. Each character is best suited to the world from the game they are originally made for. Use them in a new world with other FF characters and its just gonna end up a pile of crap =/

I'm still in shock that Kuja's voice can sound like that and it was Gaara from Naruto and even Fisheye from Sailor moon as well (He really sounded like a woman when he voiced fisheye) but he can do voices like this and Gaara as well is what truelly scares me more than Kuja's creepy voice.

This is pure fan service, I'm sure I'm not alone in wishing they'd finish FFXIII already, or create some new games. Also, at the end there with Sephiroth, I could not stop laughing. Does he have to be involved in everything? Fanboys will probably hate me for saying this, but I'm tired of seeing him over everything Square creates.

people like zidane because he was very different personality wise from cloud and squall. All thre are gret chracaters, but zidane was moslty humorous and happy go lucky rather than the other two who were serious and occasionally angsty. There in lies the charm of zidane.

Final fantasy 9 was a classic, the remake of Zidane just looks overdone and gay. It doesnt even look like Zidane anymore. And mixing the FF characters into one game is just stupid. Each character is best suited to the world from the game they are originally made for. Use them in a new world with other FF characters and its just gonna end up a pile of crap =/
