I think it's different here. It has the resistance of the compression piston. So it's not completely dry firing.

just so you know mike, if you want to get the velocity up try tightening the screws on the flex arms. there located on the top and bottom of the bow. thats how you would increase the tension on a normal compound bow.

mike, to increase velocity, you probably have to tighten the bow leafs, like if you were to increase the draw poundage i think its called? on a normal compound, and as far as sights go, you probe could get away with using an actual bow sight, its nice cuz you can set a few different ranges with it because arrows drop too like a paint balls. hope you have a blast! looks like tons of fun :) TO THE FRONT!!!1!

he didnt dry-fire it. the piston(which acts as the "arrow") is attached to the drawstring at all times; therefore, no such thing as a dry-fire with that set-up.

He didn't dry fire, dry firing a bow is when there is no arrow on the draw string, the way the arrow gun works means there is always an "arrow" if he had dry fired it wou,ld have been an extreamly loud cracking noise.
