Asians who come here on F1 Student visas are not permited to work after they finish college. They have to go back to their own country. They are not allowed to adjust status and they cannot get sponsored for jobs.

@1robster1 BY the way you are so wrong about the F1 student visas. Ofcourse they can work after they finish college. The USCIS may grant work authorization for Optional Practical Training (OPT). Graduates are permitted to work for a total of 40 months towards practical training. When that period is over they go back to Asia for a few years and then come back again to this country to work in a better paying job..... Geeezz man, you worry about wealfare peanuts and cant see the big picture.
@1robster1 OPT is not complicated, its just step by step burocratic program that any foreign graduate student can apply and pass... Are you a lawyer? I didnt think so, so its useless for you to try to say its almost impossible to get a permit to work because that is just not true...Employers pay fees to their lawyers to peddle such permit and discount whatever the fee was from their new asian employee's pay check. Its that simple... Asians are taking away jobs because they are more educated.

Asians who come here on F1 Student visas are not permited to work after they finish college. They have to go back to their own country. They are not allowed to adjust status and they cannot get sponsored for jobs.

@1robster1 BY the way you are so wrong about the F1 student visas. Ofcourse they can work after they finish college. The USCIS may grant work authorization for Optional Practical Training (OPT). Graduates are permitted to work for a total of 40 months towards practical training. When that period is over they go back to Asia for a few years and then come back again to this country to work in a better paying job..... Geeezz man, you worry about wealfare peanuts and cant see the big picture.

OPT is a lot more complicated than that. And geting a permit to work in the US after they graduate is almost impossible.
The employer has to pay 5-10k in fees and prove that they cannot find someone with the skills neccesary to do the Job in the US.
Illegal immigrants cost around 130 billion dollars a year, thats the big picture.
If Asians are moving to the US and getting jobs its because no one in America can do those jobs.

I didnt think so, so its useless for you to try to say its almost impossible to get a permit to work because that is just not true...Employers pay fees to their lawyers to peddle such permit and discount whatever the fee was from their new asian employee's pay check. Its that simple... Asians are taking away jobs because they are more educated.

I understand immigration control. But I think that there is better ways to do it that this Sheriff. We could end the violence by ending the prohibition. @bstevans0 No you hit it on the head. I don't need to consult a LAWYER. I don't know why you think everyone should consult lawyers on everything. The jobs that Illegal Central and Southern Americans are taking aren't the real issue. Its the economy and the crime rate. Could you enlighten us with how Arizona should deal with the violent criminals that come over their boarder and fill their prisons. In my opinion this is the most important problem and needs to be addressed first.

The law isn't about what you think it should say or about what you thought you heard about it in some place. Thats why I adviced you to ask a lawyer about the facts: Illegals do have rights, even if you didnt imagined they had or even if you didn't wanted them to have rights. I agree with you on drug smugglers. They should be punished or killed. But field workers are not drug smugglers.

@bstevans0 You don't advice people to do anything, you adviSe. And talking to a lawyer about every legal question you have would not be very prudent. There are libraries and the internet to consult.(not that everything on the internet can be trusted but there is useful info nonetheless.) And just because a field worker isn't a drug smuggler doesn't mean they aren't a criminal. Living here illegally and working here without paying taxes is a crime.

Living off of American tax-dollars without contributing a thing except higher crime rates, fuller prisons, and more drugs is just insulting. Hospitals can not turn down people coming to the ER. This caused dozens of hospitals to close down because the only people coming in were illegal immigrants. From Central and South America. Which happen to be latino.

@bstevans0 So I'll ask you again, how do you deal with these problems without "offending" legal latino citizens. I think the coast guard should patrol the entire boarder to stop them from coming in. But neither Clinton, Bush, or Obama has ever made that a huge part of their platform. They don't want to lose the Latino vote. Again, how should Arizona and the rest of America handle these problems and prevent it from happening anymore?

@bstevans0 Other than convincing all Americans to stop using drugs(which no society has ever done since the advent of drugs) whats a more realistic scenario could we consider? Ending prohibition would work. Its had success in other countries. Especially against weed. If the gov't regulated it then Carlos could come up here legally and grow weed! No cartel! And the federal gov't is doing less than nothing about the boarder so how should Arizona and other sanctuary states deal with the problem?

In regards to the author's "theory" i would say that taxes can be manipulated in a way that illegals pay MORE than the rest of us. I also think that illegals should a have a "limited" visa and not a regular resident allien visa.

They sneak over here, illegally, then as soon as they save about $3000 they send it back to Mexico and continue to work. If they get deported, it costs roughly $2000 to get smuggled back in.
If they are deporting enough people, and doing it swiftly, it will not be worth it anymore. Maybe not 100% as you said, but dam close.
